Anherb Anti Dandruff Shampoo Review

Hi

Facing issue of hair dandruff due to winters season ? Do check if Anherb Anti Dandruff Shampoo can aid you ..

Product Claims:
Clinical trials proved that it effectively controls dandruff. Controls itching & minor scalp infection. Leaves your hair & scalp healthy & moisturized thereby gives a beautiful look to hair.
Ingredients: Neem, Tea tree, Lemon, Rosemary, Grapeseed.
  • Neem: Effective anti dandruff, anti lice & anti septic.
  • Tea Tree: Effective antiseptic & anti dandruff agent.
  • Lemon: Refreshing & anti dandruff
  • Rosemary: Effective against dandruff & scalp infection.
  • Grape Seed: Effective anti dandruff & anti itching.
Price: Rs. 185 (200gm)
How did the product fare?
Looking at the packaging of Anherb anti dandruff shampoo, I misunderstood that the brand sent me two bottles of same product. But a careful glance at the bottles made it clear that one of them was Anherb Natural Olive Hair shampoo to be used in routine and the other one is for specific need for curing the dandruff problem from your scalp. The reason of this misunderstanding is the similar dark brown colored plastic bottle with minor changes. The bottle of anti dandruff shampoo is not transparent while the other one is. The flip open cap is quite tight and won't cause spill if fallen by mistake.
The shampoo itself is of white color and is one of the thickest shampoo used by me over past months. Its dense consistency makes you bang it on your palm twice or thrice to get the product on your hand. The shampoo smells reasonably good without any strong scents and the smell hardly lingers on after the rinse off.
It needs quite an extra quantity of the shampoo to generate enough lather. On my long hair length, I have to use around three times the normal quantity of required amount to work up good foam to get my hair and scalp clean. For shorter hair, particularly for boys/men, its ok to have usual quantity. Coming to its claims of reducing dandruff, it seem to fulfill its commitment if dry dandruff is your culprit, but may not stand by your expectation if oily dandruff is gripping hard on your scalp. The plus of the shampoo is that it doesn't dry up your hair length and keeps the scalp non-itchy. Thanks to neem, tea tree, lemon etc that prove its worth.
To sum up, the Anherb anti dandruff shampoo is reasonably useful product to maintain hydrated, non-itchy scalp with clean tresses provided you are ready to use relative larger portion of product in every use. For better result, I recommend massaging your hair with an anti-dandruff oil before the head bath and compliment it with a soothing conditioner to wave goodbye to visible flakes.

Anherb Milk & Honey Facewash Review

Hello Everyone

Today I'm reviewing a gentle facewash based on Milk & Honey from the house of Anherb Natural.

Product Details:
A gentle yet powerful combination of milk enzymes and honey.
Remove pollutants & microbes from skin.
Deep cleansing of the skin along with improve complexion.
Make skin smooth and rehydrated.
Ingredients:
D-panthenol, Milk enzyme , Honey

Where to buy:
Buy the product at Rs. 79 only

Pack Size: 50 ml
Packaging:
Anherb Milk & Honey Facewash comes in a soft tube with lovely prints depicting its key ingredients. The maroon color flip open cap shuts tight and is convenient to carry around for its light weight packaging.
My take on the product:
Anherb has a complete range of products based on Milk & Honey. Since the combination makes it apt for using on dry to normal skin, I chose to try and review all of these products including Milk & Honey Cleanser and Milk & Honey Nourishing Cream. Today review is a facewash from the same line of composition from Anherb.

The Milk & Honey facewash is off-white in color with a nice shine to it. The first thing that I noticed is similar scent in it that is present in cleanser and cream as well. And I liked it like other two products.
The facewash is moderately thick in consistency and quite little quantity works up enough lather. It gives a sense of freshness to skin while removing all kinds of pollutants that our skin attracts from environment all the time.  The facewash works towards deeply cleansing the skin with powerful concoction of milk enzymes and honey, so doesn't cause stretchy feel after rinsing it off. If you have extra dry skin and need immediate moisturization, Anherb's Milk and honey nourishing cream can rehydrate and supplement your skin to cover up missing hydration.
I don't expect any immediate fairness effect on skin from a facewash, but only squeaky clean skin. And the product lives upto my expectation in that manner. I hasn't caused me skin breakouts, so is another plus for sensitive skin. The product is not tested on animals and is cruelty free.

In short, Anherb Milk & Honey Facewash is a reasonably priced facewash with wholesomeness of milk and honey. With refreshing fragrance and good cleansing effects, its a must try product.

Anherb Milk & Honey Cleanser Review

After a round up of many products from Anherb winter skin care kit in past weeks, now a humble facial cleanser is under my scanner.

Product Details:
Anherb's daily facial Milk & Honey Cleanser with added advantage of honey and sweet almond oil is created for normal to dry skin that needs effective yet gentle cleansing. It removes impurities, stubborn make up and buffs away dry skin cells. Special botanical extracts of Sweet Almond and Aloevera combine with Milk & Mandarin Orange that improve skin hydration making it firm and vitalized. Regular use encourages cell regeneration and boosts complexion.
Ingredients:
Aloe Vera, Almond oil Sunflower Oil, Milk, Honey.

How to use:
Massage lightly on dry face and neck. Gently remove with wet cotton.

Price: Rs. 129 for 100 ml pack and Rs. 330 for 275ml.
My take on the product:
Anherb Milk and Honey cleanser is freshly scented cleanser in white color. It is moderately thick in consistency that is not watery not creamy thick...just the apt one for easy usage. The smell is similar to the Milk and Honey nourishing cream that I reviewed earlier..most probably due to the same composition of ingredients.

I liked the cylindrical pump dispenser packaging of the product that ranks higher in terms of ease of use and feels much more hygienic.
I use a mild cleanser every day on reaching home from office. My personal choice is a gentle formulation that works well for dry skin type. After a gentle massage on the face with this cleanser, I wipe my face with wet muslin cloth. Anherb's cleanser is effective to remove every speck of makeup and dirt from skin. So one need not to use a makeup remover separately.
The delightful ingredients like honey and milk maintain right amount of moisture. So it doesn't leave the skin feeling stretchy or tight due to creamy texture. I experience clear, glowing and hydrated skin after every use. Its a non-irritating cleanser, so people who are extra careful for their sensitive skin may give it a try. Though the cleanser is not excessively creamy, the oily skinned beauties need to skip it for obvious reasons.

Overall, I liked this pocket friendly cleanser that can remove toughest pollutants and makeup off your facial skin in few light strokes. After a religious usage, you are destined to restore even skin without stripping off.

Anherb Milk & Honey Nourishing Cream is a moisture lock therapy with goodness of pure organic milk & honey. Milk exfoliates, softens & nourishes the skin. Honey provides nutrition and protect skin. The ultra nourishing formula with sun flower & arachis oils enhances the skin's protective barrier; thus locks moisture & imparts ultra nourishment to skin. An intensive 24 hour treatment provides soft and sensual skin.
Ingredients:
Sunflower oil, Arachis oil, Milk protein, Honey ,Vitamin E.

How to use:
Wash your Skin & apply uniformly.Do light massage in upward direction.

Price & Pack Size:
Buy at Rs 295 for 40 gm pack.
Some people prefer using lotion based formulas and other like cream based. While the purpose of both lotion and cream is to moisturize the skin, they are different in their thickness and consistency plus one may work better for certain skin type than the other.

To me, both the lotion and cream are welcome for different reasons and time of season. I have been loving to spread a layer of lotion on my body after shower and shared my likes or dislikes about many of them. And today is a cream day ;) and I am glad its a purposeful product.

Anherb Milk & Honey Nourishing Cream is a solution for your skin's craving for earnest hydration. The product is a white cream of the similar consistency as of freshly made butter at your home. It is fleecy to touch and prompt to spread on skin. The quick absorption takes no time to give you silky smooth outer layer on skin plus works underneath to maintain the moisture for as long as many hours. Though the claims of 24 hours treatment doesn't stand tall for me, but may work for beauties who have normal skin type. I survive this cream for better duration than lotions, but need reapplication. I like its sweet floral fragrance that resembles some years old cream (probably ponds cold cream, not able to recall exactly) but its good to revive my memories. The fragrance lingers on for decent time and does remind you what product you have used ;) I am enjoying that actually.
I doubt if oily skin would be able to comprehend with this product that well, but it all depends on how much emulsification your skin requires.

The only con that I could speak about is that the price could have been slashed a bit for the quantity offered.

Overall, Anherb Milk & Honey Nourishing Cream is a splendid formulation of great ingredients packed in a little white tub.
The layer of this cream forms a barrier on skin that doesn't let the moisture evaporate and the skin stays hydrated for longer. This cream is quite suitable for winter when cold wind makes skin scaly and itchy.

Anherb Natural Olive Hair Shampoo Review

Here comes the detail talk on a herbal shampoo from Anherb Natural that I received in my winter product kit...

Product Details:
An Herbal Hair Shampoo tailored to provide the right cleaning, conditioning & nourishing to all sort of hairs. It is rich in herbal extract which are reputed, documented and time tested for their beneficial effect on scalp and hair. Since it is well balanced, it suits all types of hairs.
Ingredients:
Neem, Olive, Aloevera, Amla, Shikakai.

Amla : Source of Vitamin C,Strength & promotes Hair Growth.
Shikakai : Natural Hair Cleanser, Promotes Hair Growth.
Aloevera : Skin & Hair Moisturizer, soft, silky & shiny.
Neem : Anti Dandruff and anti fungal effect.
Olive : Improve Hair Strength and overall nourishment.

Pricing: Its available in 200ml and 400 ml packaging priced at Rs 175 and Rs 275 respectively.
How to use: Apply directly to wet hair. Lather & rinse thoroughly.
Packaging & Texture:
The product is a light brown color shampoo with normal consistency that is neither runny nor extra thick. It comes is a dark brown plastic bottle with flip open cap which is very tight and leak proof.
What do I feel for the product:
All the Anherb products that I have tried till date have been worthy of my requirements, which makes me more interested to try new ones every time.
Anherb Natural Olive Hair Shampoo is a potent combination of exotic Indian herbs that have been known for their good properties like neem, amla, shikakai etc. Impressed with the ingredients list, I used the shampoo on my un-oiled hair. Though I oil my hair before headbath most of the times, but skip it at times. The coin sized quantity taken twice was enough to produce sufficient lather to wash my long hair. My hair type is normal, so it didn't create any mess with them. Rinsing also came pretty easy. I used it twice a week to evaluate its effect more closely. I observed that reapplication of shampoo is needed when washing oiled hair so that all the dirt is removed without leaving any greasy residue behind. I didn't take chance to skip conditioning my hair in both the cases, otherwise it makes me feel uncomfortable to manage those flyaways. The repeated use of the shampoo for few more times reduced the dandruff on the scalp that is the unwanted gift of winters every year. I expect it to clean my scalp completely with constant use.
Since the shampoo has natural provision of curing skin eruption on scalp because of neem, it doesn't itch the skin. There is no visible hair growth observed as such, but at least it didn't cause me sudden hair fall. So thats fine with me.
A shampoo that treats your hair with multiple natural ingredients and offers benefits like cleansing of shikakai, nourishment of olive oil and anti-fungal properties of neem is best buy at this price. The shampoo smells herbal and soothing and is not unbearable.
The only drawback is infusion of SLS and TEA which are basically surfactants or lather producing agents that may make the scalp dry for some. But there are only few "all natural" shampoos as most of them use more or less proportion of these detergents.
In my opinion, this shampoo can keep you hair healthy and protected provided combined with some good hair care regimen like oil massage, hair pack etc and you give it some time to show results.
Pros:
Use of effective ingredients.
Smells good
Pocket friendly price.
Gives squeaky clean scalp.
Leaves no oily, dirty particles in hair.
Leak-proof packaging.
Effective for dandruff-control.

Cons:
Has SLS and TEA.

Anherb Mandarin Orange Body Lotion Review

An orange is a fruit liked by most people..And because its a seasonal fruit, I enjoy buying every variety available in the vegetable shop to relish every taste. The juicy, tangy flavour really fills me with energy. Actually, I don't mind drying out and storing the orange peels for its beauty benefits too ;) Among all the varieties of oranges, Mandarin Oranges are relatively smaller ones with pleasant taste. In our home remedies, if we eat or apply it on the top of skin, many skin benefits can be achieved so easily. For the lazy bones like me, Anherb has simplified the job for preparing the home remedies and has come up with a body lotion made of mandarin oranges. Recently, I got Anherb Mandarin Orange Body Lotion as a part of my winter care kit from the brand and I could not resist applying it almost immediately. So sharing my first impression with the product.
Product Details: A good source of Vitamin A due to carotenoids makes Mandarin Orange good for dull and damaged skin. A citrus fruit like this inherits the presence of a very high concentration of Vitamin C which makes it good in fighting free radicals thereby improving skin glow and helping in making the skin look younger, brighter, soft and fresh.
Ingredients: Vitamin A,Vitamin C Carotenes, Honey, Mandarin Orange Extract
Price: Rs 275 for 300 ml with a shelf life of 3 yrs.
What I feel about the product performance?
I seriously had been eyeing on Anherb Mandarin Orange Body Lotion since long. There had been a gut feeling that this product will fare very well for my skin. Well! its is a pleasure to review it at the right time when the cold, dry winds are making my skin flaky.

The mandarin body lotion is a delightful looking lotion in light orange color. Its like a breath of fresh air when you smell its delicious sweet fragrance. My junior finds its yummy smell identical to his favourite orange flavoured waffles. ;) The fragrance is quite short-lived, so no worries if don't wanna smell fruity.

The lotion is thicker than most products of this line and I'm definitely loving its super rich, creamy texture a lot.. I've started applying it on body after bathing for better soaking up by the skin. Upon application on damp skin, there is no greasy feel rather deep hydration makes my skin plump, smooth and much more even looking. Its prolonged use may work towards reducing minor skin damages due to presence of carotenoids that protects skin tissues against environmental toxins.
I have a habit of rubbing some hand cream frequently as my hands get rough n dry every time they come in contact with water. This thick body lotion can double up as a hand cream too due to its whipped consistency that softens the skin of my hands hiding visible jerks. A pea-sized quantity applied on face contributes to flawless, younger look that we all want and causes no break outs. It may not be that appropriate for oily skinned people specially on face.

This packaging of body lotion is a family-sized, economical pack that comes in clear tumbler with pump dispenser opening. So its more suited to be placed on your washroom rack or may be on the bedside table like in my case. To make it travel-suited, simply transfer some quantity in a small portable bottle to carry around.
Pros:
Yummy fragrance.
Looks inviting.
Thick textured.
Renders natural glow to skin.
Long lasting deep moisturization.
Can be used on body as well as face.
Doesn't cause skin break out.
Easy online availability.
Good value for money.

Cons:
None.

Anherb Under Eye Gel Review

Tired eyes is a common issue with most people these days. Reasons can vary from person to person, but lack of sufficient sleep, excess use of electronic gadgets, extended working hours etc are some factors that contribute towards strained eyes. And then it results in dark circles, swollen eyes and marks on skin around eyes. To tackle all these problems, I tried an Under Eye Gel from Anherb that is made of excellent ingredients.

Product Info:
It contains a unique de-pigmentation bio flavonoid complex which reduce dark circles. Matrixyl imparts gene activation that complements the skin natural restructuring property by puffiness & visibly firms and smoothens the eye area.
Ingredients:
Green Tea Extract: Antioxidant & Revitalizing agent.
Cucumber Extract: Helps reducing puffiness & dark circle.
Walnut seed Extract: Age defense power which helps in diminishing fine & wrinkles around eyes.
Natural Protein Extract: Helps in natural regeneration & replenishment of skin cells
Price: Rs. 450 for a pack of 15ml.
Shelf Life: 3 yrs

How to use: Place small dots around the area under eyes, outer corners, eye lids and smooth in until thoroughly adsorbed. If product gets into the eyes rinses thoroughly with water.

Packaging:
Anherb Under Eye Gel comes in a beautiful glass jar with a tight screw cap. There is inner disc under the cap for double safety of the product. The jar is quite sleek and handy & can be carried aound easily in your bag.
My take on the product:
The Anherb under eye gel gives a fresh feel with its mint green color. The color seems to be dominated by green tea and cucumber extracts. I felt no fragrance in the gel, so it would be an added advantage to those who prefer fragrance-free products.
The gel is very mild in application on the skin since it is meant to be used on the thinnest layer of skin of our body i.e. around our eyes. The gel gives no sensation to skin and is absolutely soothing.
Being a gel, its not greasy like some of the creams. It sinks in the skin immediately and hydrates the skin to keep the skin around eyes youthful and bright. Using this gel infused with cooling cucumber de-puffs the swollen under-eye area quite effectively, but demands regular use to reduce fine lines and dark circles. After a use of around three weeks now, I'm noticing my dark circles fading slightly. Though it would more time to completely diminish. The brand has uniquely combined walnut seed extracts into the formulation to lighten wrinkles. I just need a small amount and it makes the under eye skin supple. Applying the gel in the night before you go to bed is the best time to let the gel show its efficacy, but can be used in the morning if the dryness of eye skin is an issue. Also it doesn't cause smudging of your eye makeup, since its totally non-greasy.

Overall, its a worth-trying product to achieve firm and bright skin with glowing eyes. But I wish the price could have been lesser for the quantity offered.

Pros:
Cute packaging
Refreshing color.
Effective ingredients like green tea, cucumber and walnut seeds.
A little goes a long way.
Sinks in the skin instantly.
Hydrates the delicate skin.
Controls puffiness, fine lines and wrinkles.

Cons:
Quite expensive.

Anherb Instant Fairness Cream Review

Anherb has recently launched some new products, out of which one is an Instant Fairness Cream. The brand boasts of developing its formula in association with Swiss Partners and here I am to check on its effectiveness.
Product Info:
It is a unique active-fairness treatment that imparts instant fairness.
Ingredients: The cream has so many vital vitamins in it other than Grapewine extract, Olive Leaf extract.
Vitamin A : Imparts more youthful and radiant appearance.
Vitamin E : Helps to lighten dark spots, acne scars and pigmentation. Imparts photoprotection.
Vitamin C : Helps to improve skin tone and protect the skin from sun damage and premature ageing.
Vitamin F : Skin nourishing.
How to use: After cleaning, apply on face, neck, hands etc. at any time of the day.

Price: Rs 290
Pack size: 150 gms
Shelf Life: 3 years
Packaging:The new Anherb Instant Fairness Cream comes in a off white squeeze tube packaging with maroon color flip cap on it. The cap shuts tightly. The nozzle on the cap helps to dispense required quantity with total ease.
My take on the product:
The first glimpse of the cream reminded me of Fair & Lovely cream due to its texture. The cream is in white color with light shine in it similar to Fair & Lovely. Thats why before I could start using the cream, I wished it doesn't leave that white cast on my skin post application.

The cream has lovely floral smell that stays for quite long and I liked it a lot. The cream is not heavy on skin and gets absorbed with light massage. It lives upto its claim of giving matte effect by not leaving a shiny cast behind. Even it controls shine on oily skin, so will be liked by oily skin people too. The only thing which lacks in the cream is moisturizing capacity for dry skin like mine. So I need to double it up with some lotion.
There is definitely an instant glow on the skin as you apply it on your face and neck which I consider just a timely fairness. Because I don't think any product can give you fairness in first application. The cream is a unique combination of multi-vitamins A, C, E, F etc and is a promising product for skin lightening.

Upon a regular usage of around two weeks, this cream has also smoothened my skin's texture with its botanical ingredients like Grapewine extract, Olive Leaf extract. Some of minor patchy marks on the face have got dull. It caused me no breakouts. I was also expecting sweaty feel on skin on its usage, but thankfully it didn't happen so ;) At times, I have felt that it can retain my makeup intact for longer if I use it as base.
The good thing about this cream is that it contains SPF 20 in it, so helps to protects your skin from UV-A1, UV-A2 & UV-B. And I don't have to apply two different products for fairness and sun-protection. :)

Pros:
Effective for all skin types
Bleach free.
Gives nice matte effect.
Has SPF 20 sunscreen.
Nourishes and rejuvenates the skin
Triple Action Sunscreen.
Not too expensive.
Not tested on animals.

Cons:
Not very moisturizing for dry skin type.
The exact SPF content is mentioned on the website, but not on tube.

Anherb Instant Fairness Cream is good choice for everyday use to get naturally radiant skin without any bleaching agents. It works to reduce patchy skin and gives toned skin upon prolonged application. The non-greasy texture and SPF content make it a decent day cream for anyone.

Anherb Oatmeal Scrub Review

Hello

I have been using some premium products from Anherb since many months. Not any product has created any issue, but gave me wonderful results as promised by the product.

Recently the brand launched some more products and I got to lay my hands on few of them. Today's review is on the Oatmeal Scrub that I am using for almost a week or so.

Product Info:
Anherb Oatmeal Scrub is a unique blend of natural exfoliate & premium ingredients which unclog pores & gently scrubs away dead cells, black heads & impurities – Leaving your skin smooth, fairer, fresh & healthy.
Ingredients:
It contains Oatmeal, Almond Shell Powder, Golden Pearl, Honey.
Oatmeal : 100% Natural Exfoliate - firms & smoothen skin texture.
Almond Shell Powder : 100% Natural exfoliate – removes black & white head.
Golden Pearl : Provide Blemish free, glowing, youthful look.
Honey : Imparts nourishment & moisturization.

Price: Rs. 225 (available at discounted price right now)
Qty: 150 gm
Shelf Life: 3 yrs

How to use: Moisten the desired area & then apply with fingertips. Massage gently avoiding area around the eyes. Rinse well & pat dry.
Packaging:
The Anherb Oatmeal Scrub comes in a milky white squeeze tube packaging with saffron color flip cap on it. The cap shuts with a click and doesn't tend to get loose. The nozzle on the cap helps to dispense sufficient quantity with total ease. The tube gives you complete description about usage, ingredients etc. The packaging is much more hygienic than jar packs.
My take on the product:
Being infused with key ingredient oatmeal, the scrub is meant to be used for dual purpose as a moisturizer and scrub. The scrub is pale brown in color. The dark brown granules are clearly visible in the paste. The granules are not very coarse and actually feel on your skin with gentle rubbing also. The scrub is not a soapy one and you will not notice any foam formation while massaging on your wet skin. I can notice the cleaner and glowing skin post usage.

The scrub will also be liked more by oily and normal skin people in my opinion. Since mine is dry skin , I felt little dryness after rinsing it off. Despite any stretchy feel on my skin, I follow it up by wearing a layer of mild moisturizer to lock some skin hydration in and my skin felt softer for longer. For others, I believe the honey as a natural antibacterial and healing agent will provide a light, non greasy, soothing nourishment to the skin.
The scrub smells very nice and feels even more refreshing when it adds to the squeaky clean feel on the skin. The scrub works against whiteheads very well due to Almond Shell Powder infused in the scrub. The blackheads also get reduced, but don't go completely. May be after few more days, there is better effect. I recommend its usage every alternate day for silky smooth skin. This scrub promises moisturized, problem free, youthful skin with a nourishing formulation, so it will be particularly useful during the cold winter months when skin tends to get dry and irritated.

Pros:
Meant for all skin types.
Easy to carry packaging.
Not foamy like a soap based formula.
No harsh granules to hurt skin.
Not so expensive.
Sloughs dead skin away.
Works well to reduce whiteheads n blackheads.
Smells good.

Cons:
None.
