Ethicare Remedies Halixir Nourishing Hair Oil Review

Oiling my hair has been a regular practice since childhood. Everyone knows that a careful hair care routine includes a good oil for head massage that works as a tonic for healthy scalp and shaft. In past few usages, I've been appying Halixir Nourishing Hair Oil by Ethicare Remedies that is a concoction of 7 effective oils i.e. Coconut Oil, Sesame Oil, Castor Oil, Amla Oil, Brahmi Oil, Bhringraj Oil and Almond Oil other than few more oils. 

The Halixir oil comes is a pump-enabled bottle for easy dispensing of oil. I liked the packaging because it prevents wastage of products since oils generally tend to flow out of usual bottles in excess quantity than required whenever you try to pour it out. All the details like ingredients, usage direction, price etc is printed on the bottle.

Earlier I used to leave a hair oil on my hair overnight, but I discovered that it doesn't add to the benefits by leaving it longer 1-2 hours. So I've made a point to alter my routine accordingly. This oil is light in texture and doesn't leave hair greasy. Just ensure to use only the amount that gets absorbed by strands properly, else the excessive oil may obstruct the pores.

Coconut oil and Sesame oil have fatty acids for the healthy of hair while amla oil gives antioxidant protection. A non-vigorous and light head massage done regularly will  not only improve the tone and texture of your hair, but will stimulate hair growth and inhibit hair fall. The blend of many other natural oils bring nice shine to hair.

Since the oil is not sticky, women who have rough and frizzy hair may leave the oil onto their hair as a leave-in serum to enable easy detangling and reduced flyaways. The oil smells good and the smell lasts for few hours. My personal choice is to oil my hair in a milder fragrant oil than this one. In my opinion, no hair care product can reduce existing split ends, but yes! if your hair have been cared enough to prevent splitting when you start using Halixir, then this oil will certainly protect that condition.

We all love chocolates. Don't we? Today, everyone is aware of tremendous benefits of chocolate intake. What if our skin can also enjoy potential effects of applying chocolate based products!! I got to try Chocolite Face & Body Scrub from Ethicare Remedies.

Ethicare Remedies Chocolite Face & Body Scrub comes in a chocolaty brown colored tube that has got tempting choco-delights printed over it ;) Somehow if you manage to control your temptation, you may fail to resist as soon as you unseal the tube. The scrub has totally delectable fragrance that is invariably suggestive and you can guess it even with your eyes remained closed. This lovely smell lasts not very long, which is ok for me. The tube packaging is definitely more hygienic as compared to tub/jar because I need not to dip my fingers into product every time I want to use it. It's travel friendly as well.

The scrub is not a coarse one like many others I have tried in the past. It's somewhere in the middle of a creamy and grainy version. This is why looking at the scrub for the first time made me think that it won't be effectively exfoliating, but upon application my doubts were vanished as it gently sloughed off the dead skin when I massaged it. Due to its moderately thick consistency, I find it east to apply. There is no stingy or burning sensation when scrub is on the skin. It instantly gives my skin a healthy glow, but that shouldn't be confused with skin fairness or change of skin tone. It reduces tanning effectively without making the skin feel dried out.

I'm using this scrub twice a week on my face, though it's suited for any body part. A little goes a long way, so this tube of 100 ml may last more than a month quite easily. It' priced bit higher at Rs 449 probably because it's a product from the brand's premium range. Giving a closer look at impressive ingredients list, you would like to know that Triclosanan is an antibacterial and antifungal agent while Copper gluconate is an anti-aging ingredient. Magnesium Aspartate helps to deliver minerals to skin cells and Zinc Gluconate speeds up healing of skin issues.

UVMED Sunscreen Towelettes Review

Your day isn’t always a day under the cool air, so ditch standard sunblocks and reach for sunscreen wipes for heavy duty protection from sun rays. Product Review- Fclin Shampoo & Seren Conditioner from Ethicare Remedies

Ethicare Remedies have premium quality products for our different personal care needs. In past two years, I've tested and reviewed most of their products. In this post, I'm focusing on two of their 'hair care' products which are Fclin Shampoo & Seren Conditioner.

What does the brand claim for these products?

The Fclin shampoo is specially designed for clogged follicles of hair to unclog them and hydrate dry, damaged and rough hair. It gives long lasting moisturisation and nourishes hair, hence enhancing the natural shine. It improves the condition of damaged hair. Fclin shampoo has perfect combination that reduces the formulation of split ends, gives the conditioning effect and reduces the itching. Cleansing effect of Fclin leaves hair smoother, shiner and silkier than ever. It is ultra mild cleanser which supports hair re-growth. It can be used daily for better results.

Unique hair fiber sealing property of Seren Nutri Repair Conditioner strengthens each hair strand. Helps to treat split ends. Shampoo Ingredients:

Conditioner Ingredients: There is only key ingredients list on the packaging. Wish to have the packaging improved with detailed composition printed on the tube.

FClin shampoo is dedicated to address the hair problems arising out of clogged follicles. Usually the clogging happens due to building up of pollutants, cosmetic products and dead skin cells accumulated on the scalp that doesn't let the hair follicles grow. And result is slow growth of hair, excessive hair fall, itchy scalp etc.

I'm also among many of those who can't claim their hair to be enjoying best of health. Though none of the hair and scalp problem is permanent for me, but seasonal issues keep on arising that I need to tackle smartly. I have used Fclin shampoo for 5-6 washes on alternate days. The shampoo is a transparent liquid in runny consistency. I cannot trace any smell in shampoo or I can say its such a faint smell to be noticed. There are people who like fragrance-free products, but I wish it had some pleasant fragrance. The shampoo is mild on scalp+ hair and treats existing issues like minor scalp infections etc. Due to its mild nature, I need to either use double the quantity even on unoiled hair and that's why I'm already through 70% of the total quantity in the tube. I wish there was a bigger and economic packaging available as well. ;)

Post rinsing the shampoo, I didn't feel much requirement of a conditioner, but its customary to give a dose of moisturization to my hair just like I do for skin, so I used Seren nutri repair conditioner after every wash. That's a thick white colored cream that smells really nice. And this is why it didn't bother me much about missing fragrance in shampoo :) The conditioner is quite easy to spread and doesn't make hair oily which I appreciate. You need tiny amount of conditioner for single use, so a tube of 100 ml would last for good number of washes. After a thorough light massage of conditioner on rinsed yet wet hair, the hair has to be washed again. The combo of shampoo and conditioner in totality give my hair lovely bounce and silky texture. The hair are not weighed down rather feel voluminous.
Last but not the least, the products are claimed to be Phthalate free, Dermatologically tested, SLS/ SLES free & Paraben free which is admirable and worth trying.

DWash Moisturizing Facial Wash (for Dry Skin) - Product Review

Ethicare Remedies recently launched DWASH Moisturizing facial wash and sent me the same for review since the product is designed mainly for dry skin like mine.

The DWash facial wash is in a simple white tube packaging. The tube has an outer carton in nice bluish color.

The flip open cap on the tube neck makes it easy to use. The tube content is 70 ml so its not that heavy or uncomfortable to carry around in my handbag.

To start with, I liked the texture of facial wash which is really creamy unlike a runny liquid. Its thick consistency lets you take just the pea sized quantity for every single use, and the product lasts quite long for the reason. Upon massaging on wet facial skin, it actually doesn't create foamy lather, but turns into gentle melted cream. I had doubts whether the deep cleansing would be achieved due to its soft traits, but I found no dust particles or other impurities left on my face after rinsing it off.
The facial wash has very refreshing floral smell but that doesn't last long which is absolutely fine with me.

The silky smooth feel on the skin is doubled up with moisturization due to olive oil, Shea butter and kokum butter used in the formula. The mild formula of DWash is safe to use on sensitive skin as well. Since the product adds an extra boosts of hydration to balance the dryness of skin, it results in preventing the skin from feeling tight or stretchy.
I usually apply a mild facial moisturizer after using most face washes/cleansers, but I didn't need that with this product. Still if someone with flaky dry skin finds it unable to combat the skin issues, little quantity of Hydromax Lotion can splurge your skin with good hydration.
The only put-off is the high price of the product, but again for a premium quality product, one may not find it unjustified to invest few extra bucks to take better care of our skin.

Ethicare Remedies Hydromax Emollient Lotion Review

Almost an year ago, I had reviewed Hydromax CT Cream from Ethicare Remedies that is meant to combat dry skin issues. In the similar efficacy, I tried their Hydromax Emollient Lotion this time to assess its effects on my skin. So here we go for its details -

Hydromax Emollient Lotion comes in a simple plastic bottle with Flip cap. The label on either side of the bottle give required information. The bottle is packed in cardboard box of same color theme.

Product Claims:Maximum hydration through maximum occlusion offers Truly longer lasting action. Specially developed formula ensures rapid healing. Optimum effect in severe dry skin condition.

Expiry Date: After 3 yrs of mfg

I relate the name 'Hydromax' to a product supplying Maximum Hydration with which the skin can be rightly benefitted. I always prefer to have emollients that are light on application but don't cause breakouts or extra shine.

The milky white, medium thick consistency Hydromax Lotion is a rich formula blending Shea Butter and Kokum Butter. A dollop of the lotion is enough for envelop your body skin and starts working immediately to restore essential skin moisture. The hydration of this quick absorbing lotion lasts really long.
For oily, acne prone skin, the lotion might be greasy, hence not suitable; but a regular daily dose of Hydromax prevents flaky, itchy and tight skin issues that are major concerns of dry and extra-dry skin people. Even combination skin may attempt applying Hydromax on the drier areas of body for a moistened feel.

The lotion is ideal to attain instant smoothness and healthier skin on dry body parts so I love massaging it lightly on my elbows, feet and neck for a serious boost of moisture.

Oops, forgot to mention, the lotion smells too good. I frankly didn't like the smell of Hydroax CT Cream that I had used last year and was apprehensive of similar fragrance in this lotion. But to my great surprise, this product has lovely scent.

The ingredient list mentions 'preservatives' in it, which is somehow a turn off factor. But with the impressive ability to feed desperate dry skin with intense moisture, this budget-friendly lotion can be a life-saver.

Product Review - ZBlock Sunscreen Gel With 25% Zinc Oxide & SPF 58

How bad it feels when the gorgeous glow of your skin turns dull and dark due to harsh sun. There is an array of sunscreen gels, sprays, creams and lotions that are hitting the market claiming to save your skin from bearing the heat of sun. The kind of topical product you choose should be directly related to your skin type and the level of protection you expect.

Usually, the cream form is better for dry skin and so is my much preferred type. When Ethicare Remedies introduced a promising sunscreen mainly for dry skin, I knew I had to give it a go. The product is ZBlock Sunscreen Gel With 25% Zinc Oxide & SPF 58.  

After using it for almost a week (with re-application every day), this is my opinion about the product...

Product Description:

The ZBlock sunscreen comes in a squeeze tube which is encased in outer carton. The color theme of product packaging is quite simple without any fancy prints or fonts. The newly purchased tube has a foil seal on the opening hole which I appreciate because there are times when I open the package cap and it starts flowing uncontrollably and creates mess.  

ZBlock, despite its name as GEL, is not actually gel but in cream form. The milky white colored cream is semi-fluid in consistency. The texture is very smooth and velvety. You would experience a faint scent when sniffing directly from the tube, but the sunscreen feels almost fragrance-free upon application on skin.

The running consistency of the sunscreen aids to spread the product effortlessly on skin. The moment I rub it on skin, it blends with natural skin tone and doesn't look whitish. Unlike some sunscreens which offer matte effect, it gives an admissibly oily feel to skin. There is no greasy or sticky feel though, since my dry skin quickly quenches the product. This quality makes the sunscreen best one for dry and extra dry skin people like me. But won't be a preferable choice for oily or combination skin type.

The major USP of this product is its strong SPF 58 formula with UVB support and 25% Zinc oxide. The excellent blend of these traits offers ultimate solar protection. Zinc oxide is the safest active sunscreen ingredient that is destined to provide broad spectrum coverage blocking both UVB & UVA. Yet another feature that I loved in this product is its being 'Very Water Resistant' which means the SPF level stays effective after 80 minutes in the water and that's pretty decent duration. But one thing to ensure is to reapply the sunscreen after a water activity because none of the sunscreens are water-proof. 

The sunscreen doesn't sting or melt, when the summer sun causes me to perspire. Its like applying the formula on face, neck, arms, hands, ears and top of my feet & stay sun safe.

Strongly recommended for DRY skin!

Ethicare Remedies BBLite Cream Review

BB creams have been darlings of most ladies since the day it entered the makeup and beauty world. I've tried and liked a few, but had not actually embraced any for everyday makeover until I received BBLite Cream from Premium range of products of Ethicare Remedies.

The BBLite cream is contained in a soft squeezable plastic tube. The tube has beautiful peach color body with rose-gold color cap on it. I'm liking the color theme of packaging that somehow speaks for itself and makes it easy to locate it in my stash. Its lightweight, tightly shut and travel-friendly packaging.

The tube is housed in a cardboard box of same color. Both the box and the tube print every required information. The new, unused tube comes with a silver seal on its mouth to avoid spilling.

Matching to the outer color theme of the packaging, the cream is also in ivory-beige color. I'm not definite whether the brand offers any more color, but this one blends really well with my skin tone.
This BB cream is just the right in consistency not too thick, not too sheer. Some makeup pro people might be using sponge, brush or beauty blender to apply a BB cream it (the choice is all yours), but I blend the cream o my face and neck with my fingertips and blends excellent.

Every application of the cream gives my skin a subtle, luminous glow with sheer coverage. It may not cover my dark circles completely, but I really like the sunkissed finish that it leaves behind. Women facing issues like dark spots etc may need to usThe amazing trait of this BB cream is that it causes no white cast on my skin that is a drawback with many similar products, rather it settles into a matte finish instantly and gives youthful glow.

My dry skin surprisingly doesn't need preparing it with moisturizer beneath the BB cream. Infused with key ingredients like Jojoba oil, Aloe vera and Brahmi Oil, Bearberry extract, Mulberry extract etc, it achieves great hydration and nourishment for the skin.

Supported with SPF 25, it provides required sun protection. Oh did I mention, I don't even sweat after applying it even during these hot summer days.

Available at Rs 599 for 50 ml. Highly recommend this multitasking BBLite cream as an instant beautifier for hiding skin imperfections and quick start your day with flawless natural look :)
