Have Fun Under The Sun With Summer Essentials Kit by Maybelline

"Ditch the heavy makeup and opt for a light summery makeup look" would be the best advice by any makeup expert to all lovely ladies at this point of time when most of us are sweating profusely. Practically, you cannot avoid using absolutely NO MAKEUP since you need to regulate your skin tone and wear a neat look while stepping out of house. But yes, one can definitely choose to look as natural and fresh as morning dew by applying few essential makeup products and skipping many others.

Maybelline has curated a Summer Essentials Kit for pretty women to #StaySummerFresh all the day long. The kit is a cute golden shimmery zip pouch that I really loved. The zip lock has the brand name engraved on it and is spacious enough to hold few basic products of your everyday routine. After I took out the contents from the kit, the kit has made a permanent space in my handbag to organize tiny stuff which usually get missing in my oversized handbag. :)
Contents of My Maybelline Summer Essentials Kit
Since the products are from one of my favourite makeup brand, I had no apprehensions but only great expectations about what would I find inside. And here is what all popped out  of it..
Sweaty facial skin needs touch up quite frequently these humid days. Its a good practice to use absorbing sheet to clean up your face and then applying a compact powder to combat unwanted shine on face for many hours, thereby keeping the skin brightened to your desire. For quite some time, I've been using n admiring the skin perfecting compact by Maybelline in shade Coral and wanted to test one shade lighter for my medium toned complexion. I really had been lucky to receive White Super Fresh Compact in shade Shell in my kit. This range of compact powder has perlite in it, which is a pure mineral to give skin perfecting powers and also to lighten the complexion while absorbing sweat and oil. I would be glad to flatter a well-blended look with long lasting flawless finish on my face without worrying for cakey skin.
Price: Rs. 150
Looking after my lips is as important as covering my face and body with a layer of protective sunscreen. In summers, I prefer to go neutral or just to have a light touch of color on my lips. Saving the deep shade lipsticks for fall, I love switching over to lip balms for dual fun...They keep the lips hydrated for all day long and give flattering color too. As I found the Baby Lips in shade Cherry Kiss in my kit, I was simply amazed to have yet another flavour of lip balm that I'm addicted to. This gorgeous shade makes my lips look juicy, healthy n bright & brings along the benefit of SPF 20 to protect my lips. I've been loving my Berry Sherbet shade of Baby Lips and now got another favourite to add up ;)
Price: Rs. 175
Last, but not the least; the most adored product of most women from Maybelline range came in my kit i.e. Colossal Kajal in deepest black shade. This product has earned me many compliments when it stays put without smudge during my long working hours. The color pay off is better than decent but I want more intensity to it. Loaded with Vitamin E and no irritation to my eyes have been another plus points for the product.
Price: Rs 200
All in all, if you access to this Summer Essential Kit, most of your beauty needs are sorted in one go and you are ready to have fun under the sun ;)
What all products are your summer picks? Do let us know in comments :)

Get Kissable Soft Lips With Maybelline Baby Lips Spiced up (Berry Sherbet)

Hello Everyone

Do you love wearing lip makeup? I do... Lip colours have been my most adored makeup since forever. I wear deep shades on my lips most of the times that beautifully compliment my complexion. Whenever I step out of my house, I prefer to color my lips and may not use any other cosmetic. But sometimes when I'm going out just for a walk or to a nearby shopping mart for routine purchase, I want to ditch dark lipcolors. For such occasions, Maybelline lipbalms are the perfect choice for me. I got different variants to stock in my kit and love each of them.

Today's post talks about Maybelline Baby Lips - Spiced Up in Berry Sherbet flavour.
Maybelline Baby Lips in Spiced Up is a little genie that fulfills your wish to get kissable soft lips with light glossy effect. I love its Berry Sherbet variant that is the one best suited for sun-kissed Indian skin tones like mine. The sweet fragrance in all the baby lips flavours is sure to be loved by most women :) The Berry Sherbet is something whose fragrance is identical to the juicy name given to it. May be this is the reason that I am using the word "flavour" instead of "variant" ;)
The lip balm with cute bold font printed on its dark maroon pack is a treat indeed. The flavour name is clearly printed on the stick. The lip balm stick is encased in a transparent upper cover with cardboard base. All the details about the product is printed on the back cover. The lip balm is easy to carry around for its handy size and light weight.
The texture of Spiced Up lip balms has got greatly improved than older versions and gives velvety smooth glide on lips easily. The not-so-glossy effect with pretty color on lips is not only appropriate for women like me, but also be loved by teenage gals. As I love deeper color, I swipe the lipbalm multiple times to get desired darkness. Also I like that the flattened lip balm stick gives optimum coverage in single swipe.
Yet another attraction of this product is the inclusion of SPF 20 that gives optimal protection to lips when explosed to sun.
The lip balm offers intense moisture to dry, chapped lips and soothes them. But the staying power is upto 3 hours depending on your intakes. But then you can't expect a lip balm to behave like a lipstick. So I don't mind reapplication as and when necessary.

For those, who are keen to know about other flavours; Spiced Up Lip balms comes in three yummy flavours i.e. Spicy Cinnamon, Berry Sherbet, and Tropical Punch. All of these are available at many online shopping portals for just Rs 175 for 4g packaging with a long shelf life of 36 months :)
To sum up, Maybelline Baby Lips Spiced Up (Berry Sherbet) is a lip smacking tool to cure the effects of dry lips or use it just to let your lips do the talking.

My Candy-licious love with Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow (Mixed Berry)

In my recent post I expressed my love for Maybelline Baby Lips Spiced Up. And reading this post, you will get to know why am I obsessed with my most favoured brand. An exciting addition in my Baby Lips collection is one of the flavour of newly launched Candy Wow lip balms i.e. Mixed Berry. The name itself is so 'wow'.
The first thing that fascinated me about Candy Wow is its candy colored, tall n sleek body ;) The Candy Wow lip balms are so thoughtfully color-coordinated with its internal balm stick that there is no chance getting confused. The brand has come a step ahead to refine the design of the product and has come up with easily handle-able pen-like packaging that is specifically called as 'Crayon'. Its retractable outer body is so comfy to rotate to bring the lip balm stick out. Unlike their previous versions of baby lips, the proportion of retractable part is significantly increased for a better grip, this is why I referred it as easily handle-able. One thing that the packaging lacks in is the product details. There is no information about the lip balm on the pack other than its variant name.

I appreciate the rounded shade of lip balm stick over the flattened one for better coverage every time. The product is deeply moist and enriched with goodness of Vitamin E. So every time you glide it on your lips, the lively suppleness is spread for better feel.
Though many of us hunt for lip balms only in winter season, but the dash of color given by this range makes it desirable all the year long to adorn soft, shiny lips. As you glide the lip balm once on your lips, the low intensity of the color reflects instantly. Its the matter of personal choice how how you want it to intensify. But remember, the color will settle on specific deepness after few strokes and won't get deeper afterwards.
The fruity scent of the lip balm is mild and sweet that fades away in some time. Its a plus for me actually because I don't like strong fragrant lipcare product too much.

The Candy Wow range is being marketed in five variants which are Raspberry, Mixed Berry, Orange, Cherry and Peach. All of these are inspired from delicious candy flavours and are priced at Rs 275 each for 2 g. Though the packaging looks fat n long, but has lesser quantity to offer than other products Baby Lips range. I don't mind closing my eyes towards this fact because I am so much in love with the product.
Infact, I'm looking forward to buy few more flavours to kiss my dry lips goodbye and get my pouts ready for #WinterKissWithBabyLips.
Have you tried any of these Candy Wow flavour? How did you like it :)

Maybelline White Super Fresh Compact Powder Review (Coral)

Maybelline needs no introduction in the world of makeup. Its one of the brand that every girl trusts when she wants best quality cosmetics. I also love wearing Maybelline makeup and have a good number of products in my stash. The White Super Fresh Compact Powder is the recent addition in my collection from Maybelline range.
The Maybelline White Super Fresh Compact Powder is launched recently in three shades Pearl (Light to Medium), Shell (Medium) & Coral (Medium to Dark) to match your skin tone. I chose to have Coral shade that is the nearest match to my complexion.

Product Claims:
Has pure perlite.
Lasts up to 12 hours.
No dabbing, washing or touch-ups necessary.
Keeps you fresh and fair throughout the day.
Absorbs sweat and doesn't let your skin get patchy.

Contains:
Pertile: A pure mineral with skin perfecting powers. Visibly lightens complexion while absorbing sweat and oil.
UV Filters: Protects skin from both sun darkening and damage.
How to use:
Apply all over the face and neck with the puff provided. Blend well around the eyes, along the hairline and jawline, for a naturally perfect-looking complexion.

Price & Quantity:
Rs. 150 for 8 gm

Best before: 24 months

My take on the product:
Maybelline White Super Fresh Compact Powder comes in a simple white round container with silver print on the top. The base of the container gives entire detail about the compact including the shade name. The container is encased in a cardboard box in cool color theme of white n blue.

There is a transparent sheet inside the container that is layered between powder cake and its cottony soft applicator puff. I appreciate having a mirror provided within the compact container that is a must-have when you want to touch up on-the-go.
The compact has finely milled powder in caked form that is easy to blend on the skin using the puff. It takes few seconds to settle in and gives fairly good coverage. On my first application, some areas of my face looked little drier. So next time onwards, I made a point to moisturize my face religiously before I use this compact and I felt much better. It proves that the compact will definitely be liked by oily skin women. The instant glow on the face is clearly visible that lasts for many hours without retouching.
Though the brand claims it lasts 12 hrs, but honestly I didn't check for it for such a long duration. As I'm applying it for last few days to work, I am content how it gives me perfect look for around 6-7 hours hiding the dullness of my face.
I wish Maybelline brings out some more shades suited for mid skin tones. But at a price of Rs 150, its a super cool product for everyday use from a great brand !!

Maybelline ColorShow Devil Wears Purple Nailpaint Review

Hey Beauties !

The one thing that I had been dying to own since soooo long was Maybelline Color Show Nail Paint. I had been hearing so good about them from my friends and had seen such fab pics that I always wanted to add those in my vanity kit.

Finally I got lucky to get the Devil Wears Purple shade from Color Show range of Maybelline nailpaints, which I'm reviewing today...

Packaging: The Devil Wears Purple is packaged in a transparent glass bottle capable to show the nail color properly with a black cap of the same diameter of the bottle, that makes it very comfortable to hold. The easy-flow applicator brush ensures flawless n fuss-free application of nail lacquer.
The shade number is mentioned on the top of the cap that can be seen in the very first glance, unlike most brands writing it either at the bottom of the bottle or somewhere in product description. :)
Its priced at very decent Rs. 75 for Net Qty of 6 ml that can last for a Shelf Life of 36 months :)
My Experience : Devil Wears Purple 012 as the name suggests is a Purple Colour nailpaint with a hint of light silver shimmer. My initial thought was like its not my kind of color, but since it belonged to my fav ColorShow range which I was curious to try, I dared to apply it atleast once. ;)

In the first fine coat only, the shade looked suitable to my skin tone and I was more n more  captivated by its  allure the very moment. :)

Single Coat
The nail paint actually 'showed its real color' after applying double coats as the glossy effect is sooo babelicious
double coats

a close comparison b/w single n double coats

Adoring n admiring this pretty purple polish on my nails, I was thinking about for how long would it stay intact, coz I wash my hands uncountable number of times a day during all household chores. And I'm pleased to share with you that even after three ccomplete days, the nail paint is still in its impressive sheen on my nails, only minor chipping off is noticed on the edges of nails.
Pros:
1. A color to suit almost all skin tones.
2. Quick Dry Formula
3. Good Staying Power (3+ days)
4. Formaldehyde, DBP and Toluene free.
5.  Available in 48 trendy shades
6. Pocket Friendly Price
7. Easy Availability

Cons:
Could Not think of any, before and after its application (yooohooo) ;)

Overall Thoughts: Devil Wears Purple lets you make a statement by keeping aside the myth of applying usual Indianized shades on your nails and brings in the supressed confidence in you to 'explore the unexplored' in the world of Fashion :)
