Germfree Toilet Trips Are A Reality Now - Courtesy PeeSafe

Toilet Trips are one of those most frequent trips that we do not take for pleasure and enjoyment, but under obligation to relive ourselves ;) {just kidding}

I believe most of us ensure keeping our bathrooms and toilet seats sparkling clean, but the probability of contracting infections from the germs on toilet seat cannot be disregarded.

I honestly feel that the risks posed by dirty toilet seats are not only caused at public toilets, but the apparently clean looking bathrooms of our homes also bear tiny disease-causing bugs that become the obvious reason of our illness many a times. But not any more, when PeeSafe is there to offer you a safe and germ-free toilet experience.

The name PeeSafe is not new to me as I had received a pack of PeeSafe Wet Wipes in my Princess Coffer Box last month and its now my true companion. And now I'm in a position to express my opinion about the product.
Though I have used wipes from different brands also, but the impressive thing about PeeSafe Wipes is that these are multipurpose wet wipes that can be utilized not only to clean your intimate area down there, but can also serve you to wipe your dirty hands, remove dirt from furniture, cutlery or any other dust-laden surface. These can also be used to mop a cut, a scratch or injured skin on any part of body in case of minor wound to avoid germs spread the disease.

The story doesn't conclude here..the latter part focuses on yet another product from the brand that takes intimate hygiene one step ahead. The product is PeeSafe Toilet Seat Sanitizer Spray.
The idea of this product is to kill the deadly germs sitting concealed on toilet seats, flush knobs, door knobs, taps or at any place where harmful bacteria are expected. One can spritz the PeeSafe spray on the toilet seat from a distance of 25cms and can use the toilet after 5 seconds. The brand claims to kill 99.9% germs which is worth appreciating.
I had my apprehensions of experiencing peculiar smell in the spray, But interestingly, both the PeeSafe Wipes as well as the Spray have pleasant fragrance that deodorize the area and excellently blankets the bad odors.

The wipes and spray bottle are quite handy and light weight, so are easy to carry in your office handbag or travel kit to ensure healthy sanitization condition everywhere you go.

Quick look at Ingredient List:

Buying Guide:
PeeSafe Toilet Seat Sanitizer Spray : Rs. 150 for 75ml
PeeSafe Multiuse Wipes : Rs 60 for a pack of 10 wipes.
I can swear by efficacy of such wonderful products and HIGHLY RECOMMEND for everyone to use these, because your health deserves the best of care.

Nelf Velvet Shine Lip Gloss (Coral Quartz, Valentine Red) - Price and Swatches

Hey everyone

If you know that I recently started my YouTube channel with the unboxing video of Nelf Cosmetics Vanity Kit, then you must have heard me mention about lip glosses in the kit.

Product Info:
Want a lip gloss shinier than your diamonds? Big news! There’s a new gloss in town! and it’s everything you’ve ever dreamed of…. Fabulous shades and SUPER shiny. This is the latest must-have accessory! A perfect lipgloss to give you that velvety shine.

Packaging:
Nelf Velvet Shine Lip Gloss packs are long, sleek, cylindrical bottles. They have golden screw cap that will open up as a spongy applicator as you open it.

The details of shade number and name is printed on the label under the lip gloss bottle. The shade Valentine Red is numbered VS04 and Coral Quartz is numbered VS02.
I'm not a lip gloss person so lip glosses are not my usual pick. At any point of time, I would prefer lipsticks over glosses. And that is the reason you won't find any lipgloss reviews of my blog earlier. But the lipsticks devotees like me should also try out variation for a newer look. ;)

So today I'm going to show you swatches of two different shades of Nelf Velvet Shine Lip Glosses that I received.. The Valentine Red is a deep red that flatters most Indian skin tones and the Coral Quartz is girly shade to put on every day.

The lip glosses are light-weight in texture. The spongy applicator that comes along the gloss gives precise coverage as it has slight slanted cut over it.

I think the color pay off depends of darkness of shade of glosses. The Valentine Red offered better pigmentation than Coral Quartz. Though the lip glosses are sheerer than a lipstick as expected, still the shades which I got are able to hide any discoloration on lips, if any.

The application of lip glosses feels bit sticky to me as I'm not used to and has the tendency to wear off much easy than lipstick. As far as staying power is concerned, the lip glosses can't survive a complete meal and fade away. But I don't mind reapplication as I like how my lips highlight my face with a glossy lustre and feel nicely moist for longer time than a lipstick.
Price: Rs 325 each
Shelf Life: 3 yrs
The detailed ingredient list is printed on outer cardboard box of lip gloss.
To sum up, Nelf Velvet Shine Lip glosses are pretty attractive. None of these two shades that I got are shimmery so I need not to wait for party time to wear these. I'm sure that wearing these lip glosses during winters will save my lips from getting dry cracks too as the ingredients include jojoba oil and castor oil, almond oil too.
I'm glad that I've started plying with a new makeup product and enjoying it :)

Do share what do you prefer - a lipstick or a lipgloss and which is your favourite brand?

Prevent & Remove Hair Dandruff Using Moha Herbal Anti Dandruff Shampoo - Product Review

Controlling the adamant dandruff is already a taxing task for many of us, and the rainy season escalates the issue when you intentionally or accidentally get drenched in rain water. Ofcourse, rain dance is great fun, but not at the cost of harming our precious locks. So to help control dandruff, the key is to use an effective anti-dandruff shampoo specially formulated with active ingredients that can strengthen the hair roots and reduce scaly scalp laden with dandruff. One such product that worked well for the purpose is Moha Herbal Anti Dandruff Shampoo.
Product Claims:
My hair are not dandruff-prone usually, but few winter months and an interaction with rain water infects the scalp and produce dandruff. I make a point to pick a mild cleanser for my hair that is formulated with precious herbs. Moha's anti-dandruff shampoo is a powerful blend of Neem, Hibiscus and Tea Tee Oil. Neem helps to cure the dandruff due to its anti fungal properties and targets the issues like flaky, itchy scalp.

Tea Tree oil is a great ingredient to fight against fungus. It moisturizes the scalp and hair and helps to control dandruff. I remember myself mixing few drops of tea tree oil in my shampoo almost an year ago and it was extremely effective in relieving mild dandruff that I had. It's more convenient now to use a shampoo that is already infused with tea tree oil.

The pretty hibiscus flower extract induces hair growth and leaves silky shine to hair. The amazing amalgamation of all these herbs make this shampoo a well though-off composition. When I apply it on my hair, I make sure to massage it on my scalp with finger tips and leave the shampoo on for 2-3 minutes before rinsing it off. Depending on the condition of my scalp, these days I'm washing my hair with this shampoo every second or third day.

An important aspect to avoid dandruff is to apply conditioner to the hair ends and not on the scalp, else it may increase dandruff. Also not applying the conditioner on to the scalp gives better volume to hair.

Color, Texture & Smell:
Brownish golden color, herbal smell that is not overpowering and thin consistency.
Detailed Ingredients List:
Price & Qty: Rs. 125 for 100 ml
Buying Link: Order here

Overall, I feel Moha's anti dandruff shampoo is a mild hair cleanser that doesn't leave your hair dry and greatly reduces dandruff if used in proper manner. Finally, watch your diet to prevent arrival of dandruff and your hair may swing happily in monsoon!

Sip of Purity With LifeStraw

Do you find yourself getting panic quite often when your child drinks uncleaned water? Do you prefer suppressing your thrist than to sip water at public places? Do you stress yourself imagining the possible health effects of drinking contaminated water from roadside water taps? If any of your answers to these questions is a 'Yes', your feelings are no different than mine.

I seriously cannot rely on the water taken from the untrusted water-purifiers installed at public places and even at my work place, when I run out of water in my water bottle. My debate bout quality water purification with my colleagues is endless when they try to convince me of 'drinkable' water.

I might be the most annoying mom when I constantly keep on instructing my child not to fill up his water bottle from any random places when he goes for his training sessions. I swear he ends up making same long faces every time. But not anymore...

I've been fortunate to receive a revolutionary product LifeStraw Go by Vestergaard, which is a portable, refillable water filter. This cute, ultralight (weighing just 168 gms) bottle came as a rescuer to promise me clean, drinkable water everywhere I go.
The raw material used in making of LifeStraw Go meets US Food and Drug Administration regulations and standards. Using the bottle neither requires batteries nor it is electricity-operated. It uses replaceable activated carbon capsule that reduces bad taste, chlorine and organic chemical matter up to 100 liters and also incorporates an advanced hollow fiber membrane technology (0.2 microns) that removes waterborne bacteria and protozoa up to 1,000 liters. This 2-stage filtration technology certainly brings about an award winning product for those who care for their health. The storage volume of 0.65 liters is a decent quantity for an average drink at a time for anyone.
In past few weeks, Lifestraw Go has been traveling places with me...I barely thought of dipping my LifeStraw bottle into a puddle or filling water from a public water system. Because I knew what I'm sipping ultimately is a sip of purity :) Look at my exhausted face after a 6 hours journey..
I handed over this bottle to my boy while I had been busy hosting some functions in my family recently and this time my instructions to drink water ONLY from this bottle was welcomed with a smile by this little brat.

If you too are planning to get this miraculous product for your children, just ensure guiding them to clean it after every use  to eject all remaining water trapped within the filter. You just need to unscrew the bottle cap and back-flush your LifeStraw Go by blowing a breath of air back into the mouthpiece. If the bottle need  not be used for few days, simply rinse with water, and leave the bottle uncapped to dry completely.
Now a friendly advice.. don't freeze and wash this filter in a dishwater to avoid cracking. Also refrain using it on sea water, ocean water or brackish water as the dissolved chemicals, salt, heavy metals and viruses will not be removed. But yes! if you are looking for a high capacity filter to remove viruses as well, the LifeStraw Mission and LifeStraw Family 1.0 are available to remove 99.999% of viruses.

To guarantee every sip of yours free of contamination, LifeStraw Go stops allowing water through it when the lifespan of the filter is over and indicates its the time of replacement.
The Lifestraw is easily accessible at some online portals to purchase. I'm delighted to have a trustworthy companion now that is concerned about my health. Have you used LifeStraw or any other portable water purifier? Waiting to know your experiences..

Monsoon Hair Care With Moha Herbal Shampoo & Conditioner

Joyful rainy season and painful hair woes..what a tragic contrast :(
My hair have been screaming since months and truly gave me nightmares because of weather-induced problems... and since I love my crowing beauty so so much, I knew its the time to integrate wonder herbs in my hair care routine.

I tried the Moha Herbal Shampoo and Conditioner combo for three weeks with almost ten washes in this duration and felt relieved..
Moha Herbal Shampoo to wash away the impurities and pollutants your hair is subjected to every day. A revitalizing mix of Amla, Aloe, Brahmi and Bhringaraj, this shampoo reduces hair loss, cooling your scalp as it stimulates growth from the follicles.

For gorgeous, silky hair, treat your hair to Moha Herbal Hair Conditioner. It has Aloe that keeps the hair at an optimal pH, while Almond Oil and WheatGerm Oil are rich in Vitamin E and fatty acids, to retain moisture. Jojoba Oil forms a protective layer around each strand.
Ingredients (Shampoo):
  • Aloe barbadensis effectively conditions both hair and scalp and ensures that natural moisture is maintained. It contains Vitamins A (beta-carotene), C and E in abundance, all of which are anti-oxidants.
  • Amla is a hair tonic that strengthens and nourishes each strand. Amla is rich in antioxidants and Vitamin C which combat and halt premature graying of hair.
  • Brahmi has been trusted for centuries for its cooling and soothing effect

Ingredients (Conditioner):
  • Aloe barbadensis – Aloe’s alkaline property helps to maintain the pH of the scalp and hair at an optimal level, keeping the hair moisturized and promoting hair growth
  • Almond oil – High in Vitamin E, it is proven for its ability to condition the hair
  • Jojoba oil – Produces a thin film around each hair shaft and over the scalp surface, to maintain ideal moisturization.
Price & Qty:
Shampoo -  Rs. 125 for 100 ml. Buy here
Conditioner - Rs 105 for 100 ml. Buy here

Shelf Life: 2 yrs for both.
Moha Herbal Shampoo is a clear liquid of runny consistency. It smells very light (almost seems fragrance free), so people who prefer zero fragrance personal care products are surely in for it. Usually my hair are not so problematic all the year long, but I surely need to treat them more patiently with more frequent massages and washes during humid weather to avoid that sticky feel on my scalp. I've been using this shampoo twice a week for a couple of weeks now. The shampoo cleans the hair very well without stripping hair of moisture. The scalp doesn't feel any stingy sensation on application and causes no irritation or scratching after rinsing it off. Using the product regularly has made my hair much more manageable and shining in better health. It makes my hair real soft and smooth.
For flaunting luxurious locks, one should nourish them with a suitable conditioner as per hair type. Since I had got the Moha Herbal conditioner that also has Aloe as main ingredient, I use it paired with the shampoo. The conditioner looks delicious. The texture and consistency of conditioner makes it easy to massage onto hair shaft evenly. It has sweet fragrance that doesn't last very long, but give a fresh feel to otherwise messy and sweaty hair. The dry, frizzy hair are easily tamed using this product and it gives nice volume to hair.
The best part about this shampoo-conditioner combo is its non-harsh effect on scalp and hair. It has controlled my flyaways to a great degree. The functionality and affordability of the products is absolutely wannable for most of us. I would recommend these as a good fix for your troubled hair.

Lipidz Cream With Skin Essentials - Product Review

Hello friendz
There is a great product that I've been trying since last few weeks to restore my skin barrier. If you are unaware what the skin barrier does and how can it be repaired, do read the post..

Ethicare Remedies has devised Lipidz cream that helps to address skin imperefections arising due to drying out of skin moisture.
Product Details:
Damaged barrier function due to deficiency of skin lipids is the main cause for many skin imperfections and skin problems, including dry skin. Lipidz contains both physiological and non physiological lipids. So, Lipidz plays an important role to re-establish skin’s barrier function (skin’s defense system) through replenishing skin’s protective Lipids in adequate quality. It has non-greasy and non-comedogenic formula. It is ideal for all skin type including sensitive skin.
Price: Rs. 199
Qty: 50 g
Shelf Life: 2 yrs
Ingredients: (shown in image below)
Packaging:
Lipidz cream is packed in white tube with bright fluorescent orange screw cap. The same color theme goes for outer carton too. Both the carton and tube have got every essential information printed. The tube is light-weight, tightly closed, spill-proof and so is ideal to keep in your travel kit or office bag as a reliable companion.
Why are Lipids important for skin?
Before I share my views on the product, I want to mention why the product is called 'Lipidz'.
Lipids are essential components of skin that describe the strength of the skin barrier (topmost layer of skin) and how well it protects skin from the external environment. So a thin, weak or damaged skin barrier will get easily affected by potential problems and won't be able to protect the skin.

Product Efficacy:
The Lipidz cream is prepared with an objective to strengthen the skin barrier. Satin textured, white colored cream is easy to spread on skin. The skin almost immediately drinks up the product and hydrates the outer layer.
The cream has strong perfume that overpowers my smelling sense when the cream is applied on body parts closer to nose like neck. I wish if the brand can dilute it a bit to make it more easily wearable.
After using the cream on regular basis for almost 3 weeks, I notice an improvement that my skin doesn't look so dry, dull and scaly. Though its a short period to acclaim the worth of the product, I feel my skin is retaining water effectively thereby maintaining good hydration balance.
Lipidz has right ingredients to boost and repair lipid barrier function and make the skin more tolerable towards disruptive factors. The brand claims it suitable for every skin type including sensitive skin, so the product is broadly acceptable.
In my views, One of the easiest ways to protect your skin’s barrier is by wearing Lipidz everyday so that it can limit damage to surface of skin effectively.

DWash Moisturizing Facial Wash (for Dry Skin) - Product Review

Ethicare Remedies recently launched DWASH Moisturizing facial wash and sent me the same for review since the product is designed mainly for dry skin like mine.
The DWash facial wash is in a simple white tube packaging. The tube has an outer carton in nice bluish color.
The flip open cap on the tube neck makes it easy to use. The tube content is 70 ml so its not that heavy or uncomfortable to carry around in my handbag.
 Product Claims: (Refer Image)
 Ingredients: (Refer Image)
Price: 499/-
Shelf Life: 3 yrs.
To start with, I liked the texture of facial wash which is really creamy unlike a runny liquid. Its thick consistency lets you take just the pea sized quantity for every single use, and the product lasts quite long for the reason. Upon massaging on wet facial skin, it actually doesn't create foamy lather, but turns into gentle melted cream. I had doubts whether the deep cleansing would be achieved due to its soft traits, but I found no dust particles or other impurities left on my face after rinsing it off.
The facial wash has very refreshing floral smell but that doesn't last long which is absolutely fine with me.
The silky smooth feel on the skin is doubled up with moisturization due to olive oil, Shea butter and kokum butter used in the formula. The mild formula of DWash is safe to use on sensitive skin as well. Since the product adds an extra boosts of hydration to balance the dryness of skin, it results in preventing the skin from feeling tight or stretchy.
I usually apply a mild facial moisturizer after using most face washes/cleansers, but I didn't need that with this product. Still if someone with flaky dry skin finds it unable to combat the skin issues, little quantity of Hydromax Lotion can splurge your skin with good hydration.
The only put-off is the high price of the product, but again for a premium quality product, one may not find it unjustified to invest few extra bucks to take better care of our skin.

Help Your Child Grow Well Physically & Mentally

When I just stepped on the threshold on motherhood, the only anxiety that always kept pricking me from inside was about understanding my child's growth and development requirements. I didn't fancy any overnight upright change in his physical growth, but wanted him to grow at a steady pace.

Being a parent, it has always been my concern that the foundation for my child's healthy body and mind must be laid in early childhood itself. If the physical, mental, social and emotional development of a child is firmly taken care of in the infancy, it may spell a difference for lifetime on his personality.

Like every parent, I constantly monitored gain in his weight and height presuming these are the primary indices to measure the status of nutrition he is taking. I didn't even think of skipping breastfeeding my child in desire to maintain my figure, but took pride in meeting his needs for boosting his immune function. Staying on the right track of growth of my child, I strongly advocated breastfeeding my little infant for emotional reasons as well, because the bond that a mother develops potentially decides the depth of this affectionate relationship.

As I witnessed my child growing in terms of age when he was around 3+yrs, I used to compare the frequency and tendency of physical changes and it was the time when he turned into a picky eater who would throw tantrums on every meal serving. I had seen the consequences of Growth Failures in kids in my neighbourhood and I literally didn't even want to think of it. As my child's energy level dipped occasionally for different reasons, I had my apprehensions of lost growth or missed development due to any deficit or excess of nutrition in his food and kept on taking guidance from elders or experts about dietary intakes for my child to fulfill the iron, calcium, vitamins A and D and vitamin C requirements for his optimum growth. Infact the eating pattern of whole family got altered to go well with the little baby in the family, so that he could imitate a healthy diet habit from people around him. And the plan increasingly worked as per my expectations.
pc - http://syllady.com/
Now that my child is speeding up in gaining height and also some weight, I make sure he drinks plenty of fluids, especially when he is physically active during sports and exercise. But as one may expect from these naughty souls, a variety is always needed in children's diet. So other than water based fluids, the fluids such as flavoured milk, fresh fruit juices, lassi, smoothies can be offered to children without compromising in taste or healthy content. My boy loves chocolate flavoured milk mixed with Horlicks that continues supplying desired goodness of calcium, vitamins or minerals & most importantly aids on #CatchUpOnGrowth. And I believe every child deserves to grow comprehensive elements in his personality for the pleasant experience to live life without any regrets. The most valuable gift that the parents can give to their child is not their ancestral property, but a perfect harmony of growth in his body and mind.
