Multipurpose Pure Almond Oil From Mitti Se

Hello Friends

Today there is a review of a multipurpose product, which doesn't come from beauty care product categories, still guarantees you ultimate results :) I will review Pure Almond Oil from the product range of Mitti Se whose products have been purely nature based.

Product Info:
Pure Almond Oil can be used for skin care, hair care or edible purposes. It nourishes skin deeply, works as a good moisturiser. Massaging a few drops of oil into the scalp gives a healthy gow to hair, makes hair stronger. Good for digestion, can be used as a mild laxative. Safe for infants.
Price: Rs 220 for 50 ml
Shelf life: 3 yrs
Contains: Vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, E.
Packaging: The Mitti Se Pure Almond Oil comes in a transparent square plastic bottle. The bottle cap is a flip open kind of cap that helps to easily take required drops of oil from the hole pierced in it. I truly loved the covering on the cap with bio-degradable cloth tied with strings of thread beautifully. It instantly makes you feel connected to nature.
My take on the product:
Before I share my experience on how I used it, let me make a point here to mention that the pure almond oil is different from bitter almond essential oil.
Pure almond oil, as we all know, is one of the best beauty aid for versatile purposes. It can be used as a skin moisturizer, hair nourisher or even for culinary purposes too.
Pure Almond Oil is a mild oil which can be used for massage purposes. I preferably apply it after the shower since it is light and easily absorbed by my dry skin. It is a moderately light greasy lubricant that makes the skin baby soft :) Also this pure almond oil is naturally rich in Vitamins A, B and E that I usually look for in skin care products and that is why it ensures to keep my skin young and supple. I am retaining some of its quantity for upcoming winter season to keep my flaky skin in check.
I also have noticed visible reduction in my dark circle after applying it under my eyes every night for almost two weeks. I leave the oil on the delicate skin overnight after a gentle massage and it really works wonders.
I would recommend a regular massage with pure almond oil to beauties who suffer from chapped lips and to those who want their nails to grow stronger.
Talking about hair care, the almond oil gives optimum result when applied on scalp after shampooing. It helps to restore the natural oil of scalp that gets imbalanced due to harsh shampoos. At times, I use it as a leave-on hair serum by rubbing few drops between my palms and coating entire length of my hair evenly for a nice shine :)
Pure Almond Oil can be added to our salad dressing, baked stuff and in vegetable dips for a healthy intake. Though it is not very flaourful, but has a mild nutty smell so I suggest to use it only when suits your taste or cooking method.
Pure or sweet almond oil is actually magic in a bottle. Encapsulated with multitude of benefits, it is sure to make its place in every household.

Cold Fever Relief from 'Mitti Se'

Today's post is more likely to be useful for parents having children of 1+ yrs of age. These little kids catch cold so easily and frequently that most of the times parents feel helpless what caused them this health problem. Because it is quite common that the cough n cold lead to fever and result in multiple visits to doctor's clinic. And the more annoying situation which I usually face with my child is to convince him to take medicine (if its a tablet) that he finds really difficult to swallow due to resultant sore throat and spits it out. To avoid this, most of the times I follow some home remedies by mixing some herbs, spice etc to cure cough, mild fever.

I know there are many such ayurvedic preparations available in market which claim to be natural, and assure of immediate relief. In the quest of finding a beneficial remedy, I found Cold Fever Relief from 'Mitti Se' which I have been taking to cure my cold right now and found it quite effective. So thought of writing about it..

Product Claims: Cures cold, cough and fever, removes congestion. Removes accumulated phlegm and toxins from lungs and body. Very effective in building immunity.
Ingredients:
Peepli, Tulsi, Black Pepper, Mace, Nutmeg, Green Cardamom, Black Cardamom, Cloves, Cinnamon, Ginger.
Price: Rs. 210 for 25gm
Shelf Life: 2 yrs.
How much to consume?:
For an adult, 1 tsp of the powder mixed with 2 tsp of pure honey is advised. This quantity makes 4-5 doses that should be eaten/licked spread over a day. Don't drink water afterwards. The complete relief can be expected with 2-5 days depending on how severe the problem is.

The Cold Fever Relief powder is considered safe for children above 1 year. But the dosage mentioned above should be reduced to half the Adult dosage for a child upto the age of 12 yrs.
My take on the product:
The product is packed in handy plastic bottle that is transparent. The fine details are all given on its label as the brand ensures transparency in sharing the constituents of all products. And I admire it completely.
The moment I unscrewed the top cap, I could sniff a strong mixed aroma of cardamom and cinnamon. The powder is deep brown and finely milled. I may notice minute fiber in it that we usually get our of grinding dry spices.
The powder mixed with honey gives a flavour identical to Chyawanprash that I totally loved. No yucky aftertaste will let you reject this remedy. After 4 to 5 dosages per day taken for 2 consecutive days, the scratchy sore throat felt nearly normal. Because clove, pepper and cardamom are said to cure throat related disorders very easily. And the appetite is also revived which I expect has happened due to cardamom powder again. The only concern now that is the watery nose that won't take much time to fled away.

Due to the weather change, other family members have also started little dosage of this powder as it not only cures the cold n fever, but also builds immunity.

Pros:
Completely chemical free.
Enriched with beneficial herbs and spices.
Easy to consume.
Tastes good.
Prevents and cures cough n cold quite effectively.
Little Quantity used per dosage.
No side effects.
Smells absolutely herbal.

Cons:
Nothing actually.

Total Oral Care from Mitti Se

Dental problems exist in every household ranging from gum disease, tooth decay, cavity etc and affecting people of all age groups. Even at my house, there are strict instructions to brush teeth twice every day. My hubby takes pleasure to brush his teeth more than twice which I think is not required for me. Then my little boy who is getting new teeth after shedding his milk teeth is also extra careful for his oral care. I somehow cannot be loyal to a specific dental cream bcz after some time I feel its not effective and so keep trying different ones. I guess many of you can co-relate with my story..

Today I am sharing my experience with 'Total Oral Care' tooth and gum powder from the product line of Mitti Se that is made of nature based ingredients.
Since I already talked about the brand in my previous post here, I will directly proceed with the review.

Product Claims:
Strengthens and tightens gums, stops bleeding, fights bad breath, treats sensitive teeth, removes stains and whitens teeth. Prevents plaque and tartar formation, helps in tooth-aches.
Ingredients: Neem leaves, Cloves, Turmeric, Babool, Jamun, Chirchita, Sonthh. Alum, Salt, Karanj, Guava and Banyan.
Price: Rs 125 fro 35 gm
Shelf Life: 5 yrs.
My take on the product:
I know tooth powders are very uncommon these days because we all want to squeeze a dental cream on our tooth brush and quickly perform the daily oral care regimen. But what I always believed is when we can spend hours beautifying our face and body, then why not a few minutes on our teeth. Moreover, there are some unhealthy ingredients in our toothpastes whose effects can cause your various oral diseases. With this thought, I welcomed Total Oral Care to my life :)

Total Oral Care is a light greenish powder (which turns darker when get wet) packed in a traditional white bottle with screw cap and a foil lining inside. The details regarding its ingredients is printed on the label.
Now talking about its usage, I prefer to sprinkle some of the powder on my moist toothbrush over the tooth paste and brush my teeth in the night before going to bed coz brushing is necessary to remove any food particles hidden between teeth. Now adding this tooth powder does a good job of leaving my mouth feeling clean.
My morning time ritual includes massaging it gently onto gums and teeth with fingers only, leave it on for few minutes and then rinse. Until I had started using this dental powder, my routine included a gum massage with salt and turmeric every morning. But now that practice has been replaced with use of total oral care because it not only contains salt and turmeric, but is enriched with additional benefits obtained from herbs and other natural healing agents provided by mother nature like neem leaves, jamun etc. On massaging, the powder doesn't foam at all and I wanted it not to, so its a positive aspect for me. My teeth feel polished and gums feel strong.
I'm most happy about the fact that my son, who needs to be reminded every morning to brush his teeth, is now himself asking to use this 'manjan' (in his words) ;)
It gives a weird aftertaste after initial use like most tooth powders do, but I eventually got used to it. It has greatly contributed to soothe the aching tooth and sore gum tissue at times. Me and my family members are quite liking the product.
I suggest you be careful not to moisten the powder in the bottle and keep the bottle tightly shut so that the powder doesn't get hardened.

P.S. The Total Oral Care powder is recommended safe for children above 5 years.

Pros:
Lightweight packaging.
Herbal Ingredients
Thoroughly cleanses teeth.
Strengthens gums.
Purifies the breath.

Cons:
Not easily available at stores. (but can be directly ordered from the http://www.mittise.com/ and its an era of online shopping, you see)

Total Oral Care is a result of modern techniques combined with vintage knowledge of herbs and spices that works wonder on your teeth and results in a beautiful smile :)

Hey Friends

I have been talking about herbal, vegan products for many months. Initially I thought I know most of the names in the field. But frankly, I get to know about one of the other name every now n then and I feel pleasantly surprised to witness the awareness on the issue of skipping use of toxic products from our lives.
Today I am introducing you to "Mitti Se", a new name in the world of natural body care which actually attracted me first with its simple name that resonated purity :)

About the Product:

Apply on wet face & neck and massage gently. Rinse with water without using soap. Can be used daily as an instant face wash or as a mask twice a week where paste can be applied, and left on till dry.
Ingredients: Lata Gulab, Desi Gulab, Java Plant, Jata Maasi, Sugandhbala.

Price: Rs 190 for 40g.
Packaging:
The Wild Essence face pack comes in a jar packing with a screw cap on the top. There is an inner disc as well. The lid has a sticker with brand and product names on it. And the label around the packaging gives complete detail about its ingredients, price. shelf life etc.

My Experience:
The face pack is not in cream or gel form as you might be expecting, but it is in powdered form. This might be because the brand has recommended to apply it on all skin types with little variation in application method. The Wild Essence face pack can be applied mixed with Rose Water for by normal skin to oily skin. But the people who have dry skin like me are advised to apply the face pack mixed with raw unboiled milk. So I liked that this face pack will be suitable for all skin types.

It is finely milled powder of light beige brown color. During my first application, I mixed it in raw milk to make a paste of moderate consistency and scrubbed gently it on my face because it can be used as a mild scrub.
My basic purpose of choosing this face pack has been tan removal. So I continued using it as a scrub for few days on my face that is slightly affected from suntan. I always extend the scrubbing to the neck area also to clear the dirt and grime that rests on uncovered skin.  The skin does not get hurt as there is no harsh granules in it.
Next I tried using it as a thicker paste to be applied as pack. It takes almost ten mins to get dried. I felt no stretching or irritation of skin while it was on my skin. I felt happy that the pack gives soft n clean feel to the skin. Another plus can be for those who dont like stronger scents. This face pack has soothing fragrance that doesn't stay for long. After a regular use of more than ten days, I may notice lightening of tan to some extent which I expect to totally vanish in another few days.
Since I used the pack with milk, it didn't make the skin drier and I can see a nice glow and improved complexion of my face post application. So my overall experience is a good one.

Pros
Soothing scent.
Sturdy packaging.
Suitable to all skin types.
Gives no stretchy feel to skin.
Works on suntan effectively.
Wide online availability.

Cons:
Slightly expensive for its quantity.

I liked the effect of Wild Essence Face Pack on my dry skin that doesn't strip off natural oil from my skin when used with milk. I have no acne problem, so cannot say how effective will that be on acne prone skin. But those who care for their delicate skin and want to shift from chemical based products to nature based, this product is worth trying!!
