Aster Luxury Charcoal Bathing Bar Review

Aster Luxury Soaps have been my recent favourites. I used two of their variants in Strawberry and Jasmine earlier & loved them both. Today I am talking about one of their newly launched bathing bar in Charcoal variant.

Product Claims:
Aster Luxury Charcoal fairness soap works skin deep, makes skin fairer, healthy and glowing. It cleans and clears the dirt, toxins & impurities on your skin. This soap fights acne by controlling excess sebum. The new charcoal soap strengthens the skin elasticity and brightens up skin complexion. It’s exfoliating effect helps to get rid of dead cells. It removes the body odour and unclogs blocked pores. It’s refreshing fragrance stays longer and delight everyone.

Ingredients: Coconut Oil, Sorbitol, Castor Oil, Myristic Acid, Stearic Acid, Cocoamido Propyl Betaine, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Charcoal Fragrance Oil.

My take on the product:

I have read a lot about charcoal as an active ingredients in beauty or skin care products. The reason why charcoal is considered a winner to obtain perfect clear skin is its ability to absorb toxins, impurities and many other harmful substances from skin and its a natural exfoliant too. 

The Aster Luxury Charcoal Soap came double- sealed in transparent cling film like all the other soaps with labels on either sides of the packaging. The label have complete detail about the product. is a deep hued soap in black. 

The natural activated charcoal content in this Charcoal soap makes it look like a beautiful black diamond :) I mean, we all love soaps that are in lovely pink, green, white, yellow colors..but did you ever expect a soap in black color can look so gorgeous. Truly I loved its color that makes it stand out among all products in its line. The soap bar is very soft in texture and has the brand logo imprinted on it. 

Though I already had high expectations from its performance; but honestly, I hardly expected of any pleasant fragrance in the soap. But to my sheer surprise, this Charcoal soap is loaded with such stimulating fragrance that I could not help myself smelling it again n again. 

The soap, despite its not-so-rich lather, draws out the dirt n oils that are blocking the pores and cleanses the skin thoroughly. Prolonged use of charcoal soap is claimed to reduce acne, though I am unable to judge it as I have no acne problem. Unlike normal chemical based soaps that leave a residue on the skin which stops the pores to breathe properly, the charcoal soap promises not to leave any residue behind. So that the pores may breathe and stay naturally moisturized all the day long. 

The people battling with bacteria related skin issues can use this soap for great relief because of its anti-fungal, anti bacterial properties.

Packing: 
The Bon Organic Exfoliate Soap is till date the best packaged soap bar I have ever come across. I can't stop admiring the eco-friendly packaging by the brand. The soap comes packed in multiple layers. The outer most layer is a handmade sheet in pink color on which all necessary information is printed which holds soap bar beautifully wrapped in a dried leaf and tied with a natural jute string. I felt so wow to see this and opened it curiously to see the soap bar. But then there is another layer of recycled paper in which the soap bar is wrapped.

My take on the product:
The soap is pearly white in color that shows brown spots on it which are actually exfoliating grains embedded in the soap. The soap is smooth on the surface and the grains do not feel before you start using it.

The soap size is quite easy to make a grip than those huge soap bars and I am more comfortable to glide it on the body because of this reason. During the initial usage, the coarse grains don't touch the skin much. The soap lathers quite rich n creamy. I gently rub the skin to rinse it off properly so that there is no sticky feel left behind.

In the subsequent usage of this soap, the grains started highlighting themselves on the surface and felt abrasive on skin without causing any rashes or feel scratchy. I didn't use loofah, but directly rubbed the soap on my skin very softly to let the coarse grains do their job nicely in contact with skin. I am super impressed with the results. The soap works wonder to remove the dead skin from harder skin as well including the joints like elbows, ankles etc.

The skin feels absolutely bright & polished after getting exfoliated. I have used the soap on entire body, but could not dare to scrub on face. The soap has mild fragrance which stays only for the moment. I am perfectly all right even if it doesn't last for hours. There is a rich content of organic oils used in its formulation so even my dry skin felt very smooth and moisturized post shower.

Overall Opinion:
Bon Organic Exfoliate Soap is by far the best exfoliation soap ever. It is a bliss to flaunt younger looking skin intensely exfoliated just by using a soap bar. Those looking for a luxurious option to own radiant skin must give it a try as it is packed with multiple nourishing oils like corn oil, coconut oil, castor oil, neem oil, olive oil, calendula oil and many more. I can simply conclude "it does what it claims" :)

I have added a new soap bar to my fav summer bath essentials and would like to let you read about the same. It is the first luxury soap in Strawberry variant that I have tried from wonderful range of Aster Luxury soaps that is infused with fabulous strawberry scent and moisturizing glycerine.

Packaging: The soap comes double-sealed in a transparent film so you are greeted with the lovely soap color directly from outside even before you could open it. The packaging has sticker with their brand logo on the front and ingredient list at the back of the soap. 

The Strawberry Bathing Bar resembles the actual strawberry in color. The rectangular shaped soap bar is translucent and is so soft when you hold it in your hand just like you are holding hardened gel. The soap bar itself has the brand logo imprinted on it. If I talk about strawberry fruit, its fragrance always feels so strong to my nose. But the fragrance of this soap is so sweet & delicious that I felt like taking a bite ;) 

The moment you rub the soap on your body, it produces decent lather. The lather may not match with usual chemical based soap bars because the soap bar is enriched with glycerine. But I am perfectly happy with it. The soap caused me no itchy or inflamed feel on skin.

Interestingly, the soap bar doesn't slip from your hand after being contacted with water and gives you fine grip. There is no tendency of quick melting in the soap bar like other handmade soaps, but even them I am making it sure that it doesn't remain wet after bathing. Strawberries are known for anti-ageing properties and help condition the skin. So you skin is in for a treat.

Ethicare Remedies Ospis Skin Care Soap Review

Let me review a nice bathing bar today that comes from wonderful product range of Ethicare Remedies. The Ospis Skin Care Soap that cleanse your skin and keeps it free of harmful bacteria with its anti-bacterial ingredients.

Product Claims:
Ospis premium soap with Aloevera - a natural non- sticky moisturizer, hydrates your skin to keep it healthy all the times. It contains chlorehexidine gluconate, an anti-bacterial cleanser which keeps skin free from pathogen diseases. The Silicon fluid is a foam stabilizer & conditioner to make the skin soft and supple. Light perfume and rich foam keeps you refreshing every time.

Price: Rs 59.
Weight: 100 gm
Ingredients: Chlorehexidine Gluconate, Aloevera, Silicon fluid, Glycerine and perfume.

Packaging: 

The package contains 1 Ospis Skin Care Soap in a cardboard box. The box has product info printed on either side with detailed ingredients as well as product claims. The soap itself is sealed in a white polythene sheet pack. 

My take on the product:

As I just mentioned that the soap is sealed in white sheet, so I curiously opened the pack to have the first look. The first sniff of the soap on opening the pack was a familiar scent that took me years back. I could somehow relate the soothing, light scent of Ospis to traditional Johnson n Johnson soap.
Its a oval shaped white soap bar and I find this shape better than rectangular or square shape because it easily fits in my palm and doesn't slip easily. The soap has the brand name incised on it. 

The soap lathers reasonably well and feels creamy on skin. Infact I never judge the effectiveness of a soap bar with the quantity of lather it produces. Its refreshing fragrance stays on body for very less time. It would be a plus for people allergic to strong scents. The soap washes off easily with splashes of water and doesn't leave any stretchy dry feel on the skin post application. People with normal skin won't need to serve the body with body lotion as the Aloe Vera effectively moisturizes the skin. But I recommend dry skin beauties to use a light-weight body butter or lotion after shower.

Ethicare Remedies Vizigly Bathing Bar Review

How truthful does it sound to you if I claim about dealing easily with the fear of getting the natural oils from skin stripped off due to chemical bath n body essentials? Not believing me much.. so let me tell you when you use an ordinary soap purchase from market, you rarely know that some chemical compounds are added to commercial soaps while its production that strip skin of its natural moisture. Though they are cheaper in cost, but are harsh on skin. I recommend everyone to use Glycerine based soaps which are gentle on skin n cleanse it thoroughly.

How did I like the product:
The look n feel of Vizigly is indeed worth mentioning. The round, transparent, colorless bathing bar feels so silky when you hold it in your hand. The fragrance is also on a light note.

As Vizigly is enriched with Almond oil and Wheat Germ oil as key ingredients, the mildness and moisturizing properties are enhanced to greater extent.

Vizigly generates sufficient lather easily that is bit less as compared to usual soap bars, but I definitely felt the creamy, silky texture when you rub it on your skin. It is obvious due to its soap making recipe which includes natural ingredients. Remember, if a soap lathers less doesn't indicate its ineffectiveness, but it just varies because of the amount of vegetable oils used in its making.

The way Vizigly is made with powerful glycerine substance that attracts and retains moisture, you will not feel surprised if people with Normal skin can skip using moisturizer after shower, which simply means that the skin feels really better moisturized when you replace your ordinary bathing bar with Vizigly for everyday bath rituals.

Typically, all regular soaps are a little too drying for our face, so I didn't try using Vizigly on my face due to this reason. But those who generally do use soaps for cleansing of face may give it a try as the product claims it to be an optimum formulation. 

Vizigly is also great for babies and children, just be careful while using it around their eyes. I think it may be another 'no more tears' promise for kids. Even the super-sensitive skin will not be troubled using Vizigly at all.

Mild fragrance.

Cleanses the skin gently.

Produces silky lather.

Doesn't melt too quick.

Relatively inexpensive.

Final Word:

Vizigly is a well balanced soap that rates quite high in its product range due to its wonderful cleansing n moisturizing abilities and no chemical additives. It can be used in any season of the year, but is a great pick especially during summers. The skin feels no dryness or irritation, but maintains its natural moisture level.

Soap Opera Frangipani and Cinnamon Soap Review

Soap Opera, under the brand name of Puresense, is crafting premium body care products like soaps, body washes, shampoos, body mists. I have been using some these products for last few days and also written reviews here and here.

Today I am writing for two of the soaps from the Soap Opera's product range...the Frangipani Soap and the Cinnamon Soap. Both the soaps come wrapped in a thin transparent sheet which is encased in a cardboard packaging similar to the full-sized soap bars. The sample soap bars received by me are of 30 gm each and can be really useful as testers to help you decide if you want to place an order for specific soap after the first time usage.

Frangipani Soap:

This one is a sweet smelling soap of Floral variants by Soap Opera.

 The Soap bar is white in color that has deep crimson yellowish chunks embedded in it.  Like all other soap bars of Soap Opera, this one is also an Oilve Oil rich bathing bar with richness of moisturizing properties.

I smell very distinctive scent in this soap. The soap bar is very mild but originates decent creamy lather.  The li'l bar can last around 8-10 days easily. Its full sized packing of 100 gms is available at Rs 85/- only.

Cinnamon Soap

Cinnamon is one of the strongest aromatic spice which reserves its place in every kitchen. But have you tried this aroma in your bathing essentials ever?? Soap Opera offers fabulous bathing bars in its Spicy variants and Cinnamon bar is one of them. 

The Cinnamon Soap is again blended with finest natural ingredients other than Olive Oil which provide the complete care to skin. Since cinnamon is known for its antiseptic and disinfectant properties, my hubby experimented to use it as shaving bar and liked it that way also. It may not be true for everyone.

I liked the shades of brown smudged on the soap very beautifully. The smell of the soap doesn't linger on too long. So I found the soap suitable for people who don't want to smell like a spice ;) The skin feels deeply cleansed and hydrated that enlivens my senses after shower using this soap. But as per the moisturization requirement of my skin in this winter season, I had to apply body lotion afterwards.

I am sure bathing with Cinnamon soap eradicates germs from top surface of our skin, so the children can also use this soap while bathing after play time to remove dirt n dust from their skin.

Overall Opinion on Soap Opera Soaps
All the exotic soap bars are free of sulphates, parabens, formaldehydes and are totally non-toxic. Every soap bar is enriched with one or the other beneficial characteristic due to all-natural essential oils suited for whole family.

So I will remain dedicated to these natural soap in future to make my skin feel pampered. Do try these chemical-free soaps and stay happy within the skin you are in :)

Its been almost a week that I wrote any new post..nopes! it was not due to my pathetic broadband connection but the weather. The shivering cold at my place got my hands badly swollen and I'm uncomfortable typing due to itching on my fingers :'( Still I managed to start writing today because I am excited to review a brand that I'm loving these days.... I am talking about Puresense by Soap Opera.

I received the cute n sleek sample pack of the soap which weighs 30g. But the usual soap bar is of 100 gms being sold at a price of Rs 99. I genuinely appreciate Puresense for giving complete detail of ingredients even on the SAMPLE soap packing unlike most brands which lack on this part.

The soap is crafted with high percentage of Olive Oil along with Sodium Palmate, Sodium palm kernalate, Aqua, Sodium cocoyl Isetionate, Fragrance, Ethylene Hydroxydiphosphonate, Sorbitol, Titanium dioxide, Glyceryl stearate, Disodium distyrylbiphenyl disulfonate. These scientific names of the ingredients might confuse you, but actually these are beneficial essential oils extracted from nature.

Talking about the impressive packaging, I loved the way how Puresense wraps the soap bar in thin transparent cling film which peeps out from an external cardboard pack :) An oval sticker bearing the brand name 'Soap Opera' keeps holding the soap bar without letting it slip out from pack.

My Experience: As soon as I unwrapped the packaging, I could not stop smiling at the decently simple square piece of soap bar that looked edible slice of dessert because of orangy chunks in it. The soap also is embossed with the brand name 'Soap Opera' on it. The soap smells somewhat sweet n tangy to me which doesn't causes irritation in my nose.

The soap lathers gently enough when rubbed between palms with water. My skin felt thoroughly cleansed as well as hydrated the dried skin post shower. The mild fragrance could be experienced for quite some time, but doesn't last very long. People who like short-termed perfumes on their body would love this specially.

The richness of Olive Oil provides softness n moisture as it is kind to the skin. The powdered orange peel used to be my favourite home remedy to gain fresh n supple skin years back. I can substitute that with Puresense orange soap now and can enjoy healthy skin.

This soap bar lasted around one week and didn't melt unexpectedly quick. So I can make out that the full-size soap bar won't finish as early as one month or so.

My Take on Indian Healing Soap:
As I had the first glimpse of the Puriso Indian Healing soap, it looked like an edible dessert to me and I felt like digging my teeth into it immediately (but its strictly inedible guys) ;)
The twin hued soap bar in refreshing yellow n green colors is not just bright in looks but as you sniff it once, it takes you on a heavenly ride ... The mildly infused floral aroma of temple flowers within the soap bar instantly evokes your senses. Look at the chunky core part of the soap that shows how Puriso artisans are passionate to give you a visual treat with this soap.

 The soap lathers decently sufficient in water, and I noticed that it work into a richer lather in lukewarm water. Using it in shower promises to rid your skin of dirt and toxins. The rich lathering quality of Glycerin along with the infused Vitamin E, Cocoa butter & Neem Oil protects the skin from getting overly dried after usage and gives optimal shower experience :)

Those who prefer soap bars in handy size can cut it into two halves. I share a secret here with you that I'm in so love with this soap that I wipe it dry after usage to increase its longevity ;) It can be used by people of all ages n genders without any discrimination & is suitable for all skin types.
