Oriflame Essense & Co. Magnolia & Wild Fig Range Review

Blissful Magnolia & Wild Fig - A divine fusion that is brought to you for a luxurious shower experience by Oriflame Essense & Co. The Magnolia & Wild Fig range consists of two bath and body products i.e. a Hand & Body Wash and a Hand & Body Lotion.
Magnolia & Wild Fig Hand & Body Wash
This fresh floral scented hand and body wash will hydrate and cleanse your skin as it leaves a delicately perfume of relaxing magnolia and fresh wild fig. Even more, the formula is dermatologically tested, moisture-rich and gentle enough to use every day.
The pump packaging of the body wash makes it convenient to use when in shower and offers you a cleaner, hygenic experience. Just press the pump to take out a few drops of body wash on loofah, spread the soft lather and enjoy a quick rinse. The mild and gentle formulation of this body wash gives your skin a light feel with its moisturizing foam. That is the best way to feel confident that you are nurturing your skin right from the start of your day. (Priced at Rs 679)
Magnolia & Wild Fig Hand & Body Lotion
This moisturising hand and body lotion is blended with natural essential oils to luxuriously pamper and delicately perfume your skin with the relaxing scent of magnolia and fresh wild fig. Easily absorbed, the luxurious, non-greasy lotion will leave your skin feeling soft and supple. Ideal for using after your Magnolia & Wild Fig Hand & Body Wash.
After a soothing shower, it's a mandate for me to hydrate my skin with an aromatic body lotion. Currently, I'm using the Magnolia & Wild Fig Hand & Body Lotion which is a non-greasy yet intensely moisturining formula. Applying a generous amount of lotion on body smoothens my dry, rough skin and improves skin tone for an allover glow. It gets absorbed quickly, so there’s no wait time after shower and before dressing up. Initially the citrusy sweet aroma of Magnolia Lotion felt quite different to me, but now I like the sensational and truly reminiscent scent of this creamy lotion. This lotion is great choice for those who can't stand strong creepy fake smells in skincare products. (Priced at Rs. 779)
Experience a shower like no other with Oriflame Essense & Co. Magnolia & Wild Fig Range and bid goodbye to dry skin issues :)

Oriflame Love Nature Energising Mint & Raspberry Products Review

Love Nature range from Oriflame celebrates ingredients from nature that smell and feel fantastic. Every pleasurable product has been created to benefit your body and respect the planet. The Mint & Raspeberry range from this collection tantalized me and I felt like adding these products to my Bath & Body selection for ongoing cold winter days.

Love Nature Energising Mint & Raspberry range includes three products i.e. soap bar, shower gel and body lotion. All three products visibly follow bright red and green colored themed packaging that is so apt to give us Christmasy feel today ;)
Love Nature Soap Bar Energising Mint & Raspberry
Feel vibrant and fresh with this soap bar containing mint and raspberry. The invigorating scent will make you smile as it cleanses. Biodegradable, so you know that nature is smiling too!

Ingredients:
Sodium Palmate, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Aqua, Talc, Glycerin, Parfum, Palm Acid, Sodium Chloride, Limonene, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Benzyl Salicylate, Palm Kernel Acid, Rubus Idaeus Fruit Extract, Tetrasodium Edta, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Geraniol, Mentha Aquatica Leaf Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Methylparaben, Sorbic Acid, CI 77891, CI 17200, CI 47005
It's a cute shaped pink coloured soap bar that resembles paisley pattern. Infused with anti-oxidant powers of raspberry and refreshing mint, the soap does replenishes your body skin. It lathers rich and doesn't strippes your skin off it's natural oils. My dry body skin didn't feel scratchy or stretchy after a bath with this soap which generally happens with me on using any random commercial bathing bars, rather I felt properly cleansed all over. I like the fact that the soap bar doesn't melt excessively and retains its shape after many uses.
Price: Rs. 99 for 75 gms

Love Nature Energising Mint & Raspberry
Exfoliating Shower Gel

Like always, there will be debate about soaps being hygienic or not. So people who avoid using bathing bars, but would love to try Mint & Raspberry bathing products should pick this shower gel for a relaxing shower.
The shower gel is of moderately thick consistency and has tiny green coloured granules in it. I thought of getting exfoliation feel on skin due to these granules. But as you rub the shower gel on your body skin, you will notice these to be melting but there is mild grainy feel on skin that is above and beyond these granules. I am totally loving the way it gently exfoliates my skin for deeper and more thorough cleansing results. And yes! only a coin-sized quantity is enough for full body cleansing.

It's a pale pink coloured (looks white though), creamy, smooth lotion that has sweet fragrance to it. It takes no time to get absorbed into the skin and is so lightly-textued. It leaves skin soft, hydrated and prevents getting it flaky. You won't get to see any greasy shine on skin once it's spread onto the skin. It can be used all round the year for normal to dry skin types. For the excessively dry skin type like mine, you may need to reapply the lotion during winter season to enjoy supple, moisturized skin all day long.
Price: Rs. 465 for 200ml
All the products smell predominantly of raspberries that is a plus for fruity fragrance lovers. The smell is not overpowering and lingers on for quite some time. I personally would have loved it more with more minty scent into it, but my family is using the products lavishly these days enjoying the goodness.

Newly Launched Aster Luxury Soaps (Coconut and Turmeric) - Product Review

Aster Luxury Soaps, that I've been using since many months, has got some new launches recently and lucky me got to try two of the new variants few days back. So here is a word about the two
I got the soaps in Coconut and Turmeric variants.
So, starting talking about the packaging transformation that the Aster soaps have got. Earlier, the soaps used to be wrapped in a thin transparent plastic sheet soap by the brand, but this time the new soaps have come packed in a black non-glossy recyclable paper with beautiful golden floral motifs printed on it. The labelling on either side has got flavour name, weight, ingredients, price etc. printed on it.

The soap bar inside the outer cover is wrapped in disposable non-sticky paper similar to baking sheets. Overall, the packaging has taken a classy avatar now which looks go glam.
These handmade soap bars are made of 100% natural ingredients, paraben free, cruelty free and are not tested on animals. The turmeric soap is semi-opaque while the coconut soap is non-opaque. The scent in the coconut soap is so close to natural coconut fragrance that I cannot help myself smell it again n  again. The turmeric soap, on the other hand, is mildly scented. The fragrance doesn't linger on for long but makes you feel really fresh after bath. The fluffy lather coming out of the soap is easy to rinse off and doesn't leave the skin greasy.

The soaps are destined to improve condition of skin as turmeric is one of the best known antiseptic, while coconut soap has anti-oxidants properties.
People whose skin is prone to infections are advised to try turmeric soap to promote skin's tolerance. I've been bathing my son with this soap for more than a week now as his skin is sensitive for insect bites and the turmeric soap speeds up healing without causing him inflammation due to its antibacterial properties.
Coconut Soap is excellent to relieve the skin from itchiness, redness and irritation arising due to rashes that is personally observed by me on my skin. I'm lovingly using this milky white, humble-looking soap bar these days.
The soaps are safe to use on sensitive skin also since these are preservative free and work gently on any skin type. When a natural soap enriched with such ingredients is used on skin, its a way to ensure no loss of skin elasticity and reap great benefits like hydrated, soft skin. As the cold winds are already being experienced, I bet these luxurious soaps can help you keep the occasional dryness at the bay during upcoming winter months too.
All in all, both of these soaps are the storehouse of multitude of beneficial characteristics that our skin deserves. If you are look out for a great cleansing bar that is not harsh and loaded with harmful chemicals, then these Aster Luxury Soap Bars are worth giving a try.

Each of the soap bars weighs 125 gm and is priced at Rs. 200 each. The shelf life of the soaps is 24 months from the date of mfg. You may buy these from Flipkart or Amazon for yourself or can order the soap gift packs for your loved ones :)

Nivea Creme Care Cream Shower Review

Hello

Let the Monday Blues be blown away with this blue pack of a Nivea product ;) sounds stupid, I guess!! But let me review Nivea Creme Care Cream Shower without any further delay..
Product Details:
Let this pampering, yet light cream shower with selected elements of the original NIVEA Creme - Pro-Vitamin & caring oils-envelop your skin with its soft foam and the unique NIVEA scent leaving it feeling intensively moisturized and smooth. pH skin-balanced, Skin compatibility dermatologically approved.
Ingredients: refer image below
The Nivea Creme Care Cream Shower comes in deep blue plastic bottle. The bottle has convenient flip open cap that lets you take out required amount easily. The bottle cap is tight yet requires you to be careful to carry it in your basic bath kit while traveling.
The Nivea Creme Care Cream Shower is a pearly white creamy liquid. It has thin, flowy consistency that may lead to excess product running out during shower. So you need to be extra attentive and tilt the bottle to control the product flow.
The moment I open the lid of the bottle, the authentic Nivea scent took me down the memory lane when that tin container of Nivea cream always used to sit in front on mom's dressing table and I remember myself making mustaches on my face using this cream and have fun :P

The cream shower continues to be the identity of Nivea's sweet, soothing, floral scent that we may now enjoy under the shower. A drop or two of shower cream on my loofah generates soft foam when massaged on wet body that's enough to cleanse whole body. So I'm expecting this 250 ml bottle to last for almost two months for me and for a price tag of Rs 165, the quantity is worth appreciation.
The shower cream doesn't need vigorous rubbing to clean and rinse off, just a thorough gentle coverage removes all kinds of topical impurities including dirt, sweat, oil n pollutants. I totally love the refreshing scent of the shower cream that lingers on for many hours without being so acute and unsettling.

The shower cream claims to maintain skin's pH balance and so is compatible to skin. The shower cream doesn't aggravate dryness issue of my skin and my skin doesn't feel stretchy. Still, as I love a soft and intensely moisturized feel over my skin; I back up my shower ritual with a good nousrishing body lotion for offering richer care to my skin.

All in all, Nivea Creme Care Cream Shower is a luscious shower crème with mild scent to indulge your senses without disturbing your skin's natural oil balance and enjoy smooth and clean skin.

Soap Mania from Keya Bath & Body Works

Hello Friends

Taking you through colorful, aromatic world of natural handmade soaps once again. The name that I'm introducing today came into existence when Ms. Astha decided to share her passion for chemical free products with the world and "Keya Bath & Body Works" came into existence. Her earnest wish to infuse more n more skin-friendly ingredients into her products resulted in a vast treasury of soaps, ubtans, facepacks etc. As usual, I got pulled towards those colorful soaps in different shapes :P

I got a nice cardboard box elegantly gift packed with Cucumber, BlackBerry, Chocolate Orange and Green Tea & Activate Charcoal soap variants. The moment I opened the box, all the family members decided then n there which soap will they be using for themselves. (yes! at my home, you will find few soap bars and body washes kept in all washrooms as per everyone's liking)
Chocolate Orange soap, got selected by my little boy. If you are wondering whether a child may use these soaps or not. Let me mention that all the soaps by Keya Bath and Body are completely safe for delicate skin of children as pointed by Ms. Astha on my query :) The round, flattened, semi-transparent, orange colored soap has lingering citrus+chocolaty scent. It delights the skin and senses while behaving as a natural healer of minor skin issues. (Priced at Rs 60)

Blackberry soap in its gorgeous deep lavender color won my appreciation. Its rich fragranced foam gently cleanses the skin. Its been my first trial of any blackberry soap. The soap smelling of citrus notes makes the skin nourished and moisturized. It also suited sensitive skin of my mom in law and she claims it to be skin soothing. (Priced at Rs 60)

Cucumber soap is ideal to calm the irritating skin and reduces inflammation. It goes far to prove cooling effect when the skin needs to retain natural hydration. Cucumber is said to have vitamin C, silica, potassium and magnesium that contribute to healthier and brighter skin. (Priced at Rs 60)

Green Tea & Activate Charcoal soap is again an exciting blend. Both the ingredients are excellent to condition and detoxify the skin by pushing away impurities. This soap bar, unlike all three I used, is a square shaped one. Its layered composition is extremely delectable. I had tough time convincing myself that its a soap and not a slice of cake or ice cream :P It has subtle scent, so would be loved by people who stay away from strong fragrances. (Priced at Rs 70)

The packaging of all the soaps is quite simple i.e. wrapping in a plastic sheet. i don't feel that there is a need to spend of something fancy. So I like it. The only thing I wish to see improved is the labeling, which MUST have ingredient list, shelf life and other essential info. All the soaps bars weighing 100 gm are very reasonably priced. If staying away from harsh chemical is your goal, then don't forget to try these bathing bars. I'm sure you will never go back to commercial soaps :)

Aster Luxury Red Wine Soap Review

About Red Wine Soap:
This delicious looking soap is high in antioxidants and rich nutrients as red wine is made up of red grapes. This soap produces highly luxurious lather, rich in creamy bubbles. These soaps contain coconut oil which moisturise and make skin super soft. This soap deep cleanse the skin and removes dead skin.
Red Wine Soap Ingredients:
Coconut Oil, Sorbitol, Castor Oil, Myristic Acid, Stearic Acid, Cocoamido Propyl Betaine, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Red Wine Fragrance Oil

Shelf Life: 2 Yrs
Packaging:
The soaps come sealed in a transparent sheet. You can see the lovely soap directly from outside. The packaging has sticker with their brand logo on the front and ingredient list at the back of the soap.

My take on the product:
Red wine soap is one of the newly introduced variant from Aster Luxury. Most of their soaps that have been tested by me on myself proved to be of good worth. The name of this red wine soap created a misconception in my mind that it would be drying my skin due to alcohol content. But the description of the soap had been so influential that I knew I want to try it. I also got to know that the alcohol content is eliminated while processing and the soap bar is left with a nice moisturizing effect.
The soap is made of red grape wine that is sure way of availing an extra dose of antioxidants. In the first use itself, I was fallen in love with the soap that lathered more than other variants. Its probably because the natural sugar found in the red grapes contributes to increase the lather. The soap has very nice fruity kind of scent that soothes during shower, but I can't say if its similar to actual red wine as I have no experience of any kind of wines :P
The soap is one of the amazing handcrafted soap from Aster Luxury that is enriched with multiple skin nutrients and gives alluring benefits of wine to the skin without even drinking it ;)

Pros:
Free from Paraben, Phthalates and Animal Ingredients.
Completely Vegetarian Soap.
Mildly scented.
Doesn't cause loss of moisture from skin.
Rich Creamy lather.
Easy online availability.
Rich in anti-oxidants and skin nutrients.

Cons:
Not easily available in stores.

Aster Luxury Papaya Soap Review

About Papaya Soap
Enriched with goodness of Papaya that helps removes dead skin cells and pamper your skin for a smooth, fairer younger looking skin. This soap removes dark spots and blemishes and brings out fresh and brighter skin. It helps removing dead skin cells and eliminates acne. Using it regularly improves skin tone & complexion.
Ingredients:
Coconut Oil, Sorbitol, Castor Oil, Myristic Acid, Stearic Acid, Cocomidol Propyl Betaine Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Papaya Fragrance Oil.

Price:  Rs. 150 for soap bar of 125 gms
Shelf Life: 2 Yrs

Packaging:
The soap comes double sealed in a transparent sheet so you can see the lovely soap directly from outside even before you could open it. The packaging has sticker with their brand logo on the front and ingredient list at the back of the soap.
My experience:
To begin with, this is the first time I am using a soap made of Papaya, so I was excited to assess its effects. The soap bar is of the color similar to a real ripe papaya. It has soft velvety texture to hold and use. Despite being a glycerine based soap, it generates creamy lather to cleanse the skin gently. The mild fruity fragrance of the soap remains on body for quite few hours and makes me feel fresh enough.
The soap is recommended to be used on body as well as face. But I preferred it only for body fearing dryness of skin on my face. The skin looks fairer upon using the soap, but mind you its not the permanent fairness. Yes, one may experience mild lightening of skin if the soap is in everyday use for prolonged period. Because papaya has powerful exfoliating properties and it removes dead skin cell Some spots on my body skin have got reduced resulting in flawless skin. While using this soap, I realized it gave slight relief to my sun-damaged skin too.
Thankfully the soap doesn't aggravates the dryness of my skin as it is blended with coconut oil. But I still make it a point to luxuriate my skin with a body lotion.

Pros:
Works as mild exfoliator.
No Paraben and Phthalates.
No Animal Ingredients.
Vegetarian Soap
Refreshing smell.
Creamy lather.
Doesn't melt excessively.
Easy online availability.
Doesn't cause dryness.

Cons:
Not easily available in stores.

Packaging:
The soap is wrapped in a simple paper bag similar to made of butter paper that is sealed with a paper sticker labeled with Moha. There is an outer cardboard box that holds the soap bar. There is cute colorful leafy print on the box with all details about the product.

My Experience:
The soap bar is light yellow in color. The soap is a nice blend of herbs Neem, Basil and Aloe. The scent resembles more of basil. The warmth of the scent effectively helps me relieve from mental fatigue during shower.
Neem oil used in the soap is said to have hydrating and anti-microbial properties. The oil is also used in dermatologic products for acne and other skin infections. So this soap can not only be used for personal sanitation, but is a good remedy for acne, blemishes, prickly heat, dermatitis and other skin ailments.
The oil infusion of basil leaves helps to stimulate and refresh dull complexions if used in everyday bathing routine. Rich in vitamin E, this oil penetrates the skin to moisturize and soothe. Interestingly, the soap can be used on face as well (which I generally avoid with any other soap).
Yet another herb, Kumari (Aloe) gel is useful for skin hydration and recommended for dry skin which makes the soap my recent favourite. It is assumed that Aloe Gel present in the soap helps reduce wrinkles on the face and improves hydration, so causes no drying or stretchy feel on facial skin.

The soap lathers enough and doesn't melts excessively. Just take care to keep it dry in the soap dish after usage.

Pros:
Not restricted to use on specific skin type,
Doesn't harm skin texture and skin tone.
Strengthens the skin’s metabolic mechanisms.
Protects skin from infections.
Protects the skin against allergens, inflammatory substances, chemicals and stress
Delays wrinkle formation and other skin aging processes.
Quite affordable.

Cons:
None.

Moha Herbal Soap is a good moisturizing soap that is rich in multiple herbals ingredients. The soap is appropriate to be used by anyone for usual sanitation purposed or for special skin concerns. For this price, this soap is a must try..
