Moha Herbal Shower Gel Review

A natural body cleanser made of plant extracts would always be my preference over a wealth of chemical product available in the market. Whenever I'm given a chance to test such herbal products, I feel naturally spirited to try and share my opinion.
One of the name that is directly synonymous to herbal products and is actually loved by me is Charak Pharma. I've used and reviewed many of their products being offered under the name of Moha and now when they added few more into their kitty, I couldn't resist giving them a try.
Today, I'll review Moha Herbal Shower Gel.
Product Info:
Moha Herbal Shower Gel takes gentle care of your skin with the detoxifying action of Aloe. The antifungal and antiseptic properties of Neem and Tea Tree help to reduce blackheads and pimples. Orange Peel provides a generous dose of Vitamin C, leaving skin soft and supple.
Price: Rs. 105 for 100 ml Order here
Shelf Life: 2 yrs.
Moha Herbal Shower Gel comes in a small sized bottle that has leafy prints on it and indicates the active ingredients used in making the product. The bottle is made of quite sturdy plastic.
The flip open cap is tight while locked. So no chance of spillage and you may carry it around without any worries. The bottle is placed in an outer cardboard box that has same print as of bottle and all required information too.
There is a small leaflet in the box that will elaborate the purpose and effects of key ingredients.
Moha Herbal Shower Gel is a exotic blend of tea tree oil, neem and orange peel that brings uplifting citrus scent to shower. Its light orange in color, but is not of gel-like consistency. It tends to be runny on your palm.
A coin sized liquid on the wet loofah suffices to originate zesty foam for cleansing of entire body. So a little goes a long way to create a luxurious foaming experience under the shower. After nearly a week of daily use, I noticed that it caused my skin not to dry out and flake; rather my skin enjoys a smooth extravagant feel after I rinse it off.

After a humid, sweaty day, an evening shower with Moha shower gel rejuvenates the dullness of my skin as well as mood and relaxes me deeply. My mom-in-law who is somewhat picky for bath and body products exclaims this shower gel to be gentle and non-irritating on her skin. It removes all types of skin impurities including pollutants and excess oil to leave skin toned and conditioned.

For just Rs. 105, its a real bargain for a high quality natural product that is not tested on animals and is free of preservatives. Recommended to try (y)

VLCC Enchanting Eyes Kajal Review

VLCC has been a well-admired name for its personal care product line and I'm really liking the products used so far. From their makeup section, I have tried some eye makeup products and sharing my views on VLCC Enchanting Eyes Kajal today..
Product Info
Nothing speaks to the world more than your eyes. Whether simply lining the eyes with a neat, clean stroke or experimenting with dramatic winged lines, Kajal is a must-have for women’s makeup. With VLCC Enchanting Eyes Kajal, you can achieve many intense looks that not only last for hours, but also accentuate the beauty of your eyes. From a prim office look to the stunning evening gaze with smart and swift strokes, this is all you need to turn the charm on. So go ahead, and woo the world.
Key Ingredients
Cyclopentasiloxane, Trimethylsiloxy silicate (and) Polypropylsilsesquioxane, Carbon Black, Caprylyl Methicone, Bees Wax, C20-40 Alcohols, VP/Eicosene Copolymer, Euphorbia Cerifera, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Copernicia cerifera, Ozokerite Wax, Butylated Hydroxytoluene

Price: Rs. 199/-
Shelf Life: 24 months
Qty: 0.3 gms.
VLCC Enchanting Eyes Kajal is in a sleek, retractable pen mechanism with completely black outer body. The silver text on the kajal pen shines prominently and makes it easily readable. I liked the idea of printing atleast brief information about the product on the kajal, because there are brands whose kohl/kajal have nothing but the brand name printed on the kajal pen and I find it really annoying when essential information is missing on the product.
The kajal pen is packed in bright orange cardboard cover with every possible detail at its back side.
Those who are experimentive in eyemake up would love how the brand has given few kajal application ideas on its cover :)
VLCC Enchanting Eyes Kajal is in Intense black color (as mentioned on the pack). Its creamy formula makes the kajal so easy to glide and gives great finish in single swipe. Due to its soft texture, one needs to be careful while using it in light strokes else it may lead to breakage.
There is no shimmer or glitter so its perfect for beautifying your eyes for everyday look. The kajal blends really easy if you want to achieve smoky eye look.
The staying power of this kajal is mind blowing. If I can control my temptation to rub my eyes, it stays put almost 5-6 hours on my lash line thats decent for my sensitive eyes. The kajal doesn't fade or smudge easily. It also claims to be water proof. Though I didn't exclusively splash water onto my eyes while this kajal is applied, but thankfully it didn't turn my eyes into dark n scary panda eyes as my watery eyes sometimes cause me this issue.

Instead of plain water, I have to use a good makeup remover cream to remove the kajal off my eyes. Mostly I prefer cleaning it with light massage with almond oil around my eyes and wiping it off with soft cloth piece.

Quite satisfied with performance and affordable price of VLCC Enchanting Eyes Kajal, I would love to have a sharpner provided within the kajal pack to make it one of the preferred choice of women.

VLCC Matte Look Sunscreen With Pineapple Extract and SPF 30 Review

Something a lot of us usually are  looking for these days is an effective sunscreen. With summer in full swing, its the right time to try and shortlist the best ones that protect our skin from sun damage. I know how much we all hate those heavily greasy and chalky formulas that leave us sweating more. But in this generation, when the brands are listening to us, we may expect something prepared as per our requisites.
I recently tested this VLCC Matte Look Sunscreen With Pineapple Extract and SPF 30 on myself which was a good change. Read on to know why..
Product Info:
Pineapples are full of important antioxidants that work to prevent cell damage by fighting against free radicals. This enzyme-rich fruit helps to keep the skin flexible and firm because it increases collagen synthesis. It contains vitamin C and amino acids and these are all skin-friendly nutrients. VLCC Matte Look Sun Screen Cream with SPF 30 and PA+++ is made with a combination of Pineapple extract along with many other natural ingredients, which not only protects skin from harmful UVA & UVB sun rays, but also hydrates the skin leaving it soft and supple. In addition, its non-sticky formula gets absorbed quickly into the skin giving it an even finish. So go ahead, enjoy the Sun!
This Sun Screen is Paraben Free. Suitable for all skin types.
Ingredients:
Aqua, Octyl Methoxy Cinnamate, Glycerine, Isopropyl Myristate, Titanium Dioxide, Benzophenone-4, Glyceryl Monostearate, Ceto Stearyl Alcohol, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate,Triethanolamine, Methylene Bis - benzotriazolyl Tetramethylbutylphenol, Emulsifying Wax, Cetearyl Alcohol (and) Ceteareth-20, Phenoxyethanol, Talc, Cyclopentasiloxane, Acrylates/c10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer Allantoin, Trehalose, dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, Decyl Glucoside, Sodium Polyacrylate, Disodium EDTA, Triethylene Glycol, Phenyl Trimethicone, Dimethiconol, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Seed Extract, Trideceth-6, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Peg/ppg-18/18 Dimethicone, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Extract, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Extract, Ananas sativus (Pineapple) Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Extract, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Propylene Glycol, Xanthan Gum, cyclotetrasiloxane, Aloe barbedensis extract, Parfum, CI.no.77492, CI.no.77491.
Usage
Apply liberally and evenly on the face and neck, 15-20 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply frequently for long duration sun exposure.

Price: Rs315 for 100 gms but I got a combo pack with Free facial kit worth Rs 250, so worth a deal. I'll review the facial kit separately as I test it in a few days.

Shelf Life: 3 yrs

VLCC Matte Look Sunscreen With Pineapple Extract comes in a squeeze tube of bright yellow n white color with orange flip cap. The tube cap is tight to shut and the pack is easy to carry around while traveling or to work etc.
The sunscreen is light brown in color and is firmly thick in consistency. Unlike any gel or soupy lotion, it broadly resembles to a cream. The fragrance, as I expected to be more leaned towards pineapple, is a soothing mix of other ingredients too. The faint scent continues to persist for some time without bugging your nose.
When applied, the sunscreen spreads on skin easily but doesn't get easily absorbed. A light massage is what that helps the creamy sunscreen to merge with your skin tone properly and sink into skin..

In my initial applications of the product, I found the ashy whitecast left behind and a drier appearance on my already dry skin. So to make the sunscreen recover from these issues, now I either apply VLCC Almond moisturizing lotion before putting it on or at time mix just a drop or two of lotion into this sunscreen before applying (if u also do this, ensure not to mix excess lotion to avoid the dilution of SPF efficacy).
The sunscreen stands tall to its claims of being non-sticky formula having matte look. The product doesn't feel greasy or sticky and renders matte look without any oily shine. So that will be much liked by oily skin people too. The sunscreen caused me no sweaty aftereffects, so its a thumbs up from me and I can confidently continue using it.

Coming to the efficacy of the product, VLCC sunscreen with Pineapple Extract is Paraben free, loaded with SPF 30 and PA+++. which means the product can be relied upon since SPF indicates UVB protection and PA+++ indicates high UVA protection. So one can be sure of avoiding skin darkening due to natural sunlight which is a mix of UVA + UVB and damage skin in different ways. Also the vitamin C in pineapple extract is said to be effective for acne treatment (though I can't test it on myself).
In short, on a normal day which involve roaming in the sun unavoidably for many reasons, VLCC Matte Look Sunscreen With Pineapple Extract is the player for sun games.

VLCC Almond Nourishing Body Lotion Review

Hi Friends,

Its my first experience with one of the most loved personal care brand VLCC products. There will be a series of review posts, and I'm starting with my favourite skincare product i.e. a body lotion. The brand sent me Almond Nourishing Body Lotion which is being reviewed in this post.

Brand Info:
VLCC has grown to become a leading wellness brand in India and abroad. From cosmetic beauty treatments, the brand has opened domains of expertise in scientific skin and hair care that tackled issues in greater depth. They have innovated to make easily available to customers, a comprehensive range of personal care products through retail channels.
Product Info:
For supple, moisturized, youthful skin. This light, non greasy lotion is enriched with pure Almond Oil.
*Nourishes skin to help retain elasticity.
*Leaves skin glowing and youthful.
*SPF 15 provides UVA and UVB protection to prevent skin darkening and premature ageing.

Usage Instructions:
Apply twice daily all over your body after bath or 15 minutes before going out in the sun.
Ingredients:
Almond Oil, Wheat Germ Extract, Silicon Blend, Aloevera Extract, Fenugreek Extract, Hydrolyzed Malt Extract, Allantoin, Trehalose, Titanium Dioxide, Octyl Methoxy Cinnamate.
Price: 255/-
Quantity: 350 ml
Shelf Life: 2+ yrs.
Packaging:
VLCC Almond Nourishing Body Lotion is a bottled product. The long yet sleek bottle in white color is made of sturdy plastic. It has a manual hand press pump dispenser mechanism, so makes it a trouble-free packaging. One can dispense needed amount with one or two functional presses on the top. The dispenser can be locked and unlocked to avoid spillage. The OPEN and STOP indicators make it clear where to rotate the dispenser cap.
Since its a large quantity pack, its too heavy to place in your handbag. But I don't mind transferring some quantity in a tiny bottle for my frequent usage.

Texture and Fragrance:
The body lotion is milky white  in color and has moderate thick consistency. It won't be runny when taken on your palm, but won't even sit too thick on skin.
The scent of this body lotion is a big 'turn on' for me. It smells slightly musky and bit stronger than many other body lotions I used earlier, and I feel most people will find its warm indulgent scent really delightful and sensual.
The body lotion when gently rubbed into the skin, gets fully absorbed. The light texture doesn't leave behind any sheen, easily penetrates deep into the skin resulting in softening of my dry skin.

Not only the lotion rich in essential fatty acids of Almond oil helps to restore moisture, but provides UVA and UVB protection since it blended SPF 15 in it. It simply means one needs not to use a separate sunscreen after applying this body lotion. I personally feel that increasing the SPF level to 30 would have protected us better against long-term skin damage. But I know its a body lotion, not the sunscreen to do that job exclusively.

The light, non-greasy texture of this body lotion makes it apt to use by all skin types. Though the extra dry skin type might need a re-application, like I do apply it twice a day for a generous hydration.
Overall, VLCC Almond Nourishing Body Lotion is a nice blend of potent ingredients to nourish the skin with deep benefits and is easily available at pocket friendly price. Do consider it for achieving youthful, supple skin.

Introducing The Princess Coffer Monthly Box from Think Frill

Subscription Boxes!! Wow, they are so enticing...It's super exciting when a box or bag full of surprise goodies reaches you every month and pampers you fondly. I've seen many brands coming up with wide array of subscription boxes created on different themes like beauty box, jewelry box, period box, lingerie box, kids infotainment box etc. And frankly speaking, most of them are hugely appreciated by me for the quality products they offer, for justified pricing and for the liberty to customize :)

Recently, I got introduced to La Coffer by a friend which is a Monthly Period Box by Think Frill. To ease down the painful period days, there is nothing as comforting as a custom made menstrual care package comprising of sanitary supplies, pain comforters, crunchy little snack packs, sweet treats and some beauty products. You can choose one of the three coffers – Duchess (Rs. 150), Princess (Rs. 300) and Queen (Rs 600) that have been curated as per their level of extravagance.

Since the Duchess Coffer is basic menstrual care box without any fancy addition and the Queen's Coffer is the most extravagant box, I chose to pamper myself with Princess Coffer because one can always upgrade a plan as the requirements change.

So my polka dots printed Princess Coffer arrived super quick, wrapped in multiple folds of bubble wrap.

It was so pleasing to read this Welcome Note kept in the box with a separate leaflet about the contents of the box..

On opening the box with lots of excitement, I finally uncovered this veil to find what I got in the box.
And wow, my eyes met this view of neatly arranged stuff inside the box with all the bare necessities plus a little extra something for every once in a while during those days..
For a tea person like me, enjoying green tea is an easy way to replace my caffeine craving. Its rich in antioxidants and boosts overall metabolism to keep me active. Also restricted fluids are good when your body is cramping or bloating, so I liked getting these three different flavours of green tea in my subscription box.
During your periods, when it gets difficult to deal with your sour mood and you almost start hating life, its really important to control your anxiety. A bite into these tangy, sweet or crunchy delights can surely controls your mood swings at its peak. In my box, I received these Frit-C belts in strawberry flavour and crunchy Cornitos snack packs.

Though I lack interest and energy getting properly dress up and all, but its unavoidable to stay home every time you are hit with this irritating feeling and need to get up. A bit of radiance in such uneasy days comes handy when you have your all-time fav beauty product at your disposal. I got a very flavourful and aromatic Avon lipbalm in Cherry variant in my box which is really likable.
Finally, after all this extravagant treat, I could see a pack of Pee Safe multiuse wipes which is a must-have for me not only during periods but in routine. I absolutely loved it because it can not only be used to maintain hygiene of your intimate area but can also be used as face wipes. It is easy to carry in my bag when I'm travelling, going to office or stepping out for any destination.
This pack of sanitary essentials came elegantly packed in the box which contained individually packed napkins, tampons and panty liners as per my choice.
If you still feel, you need some more indulgence; there are some coupons in the box that can earn you a discount when you want to order your most-loved food..
The Princess Coffer made me felt nothing but like a real PRINCESS :) For a price of Rs 300, I received products valued almost Rs. 480. So don't wait for someone to gift you happiness and order your preferred Coffer at thinkfrill.com for the ultimate delight in this MONTHLY BOX.

Eggless Chocolate Mug Cake - 2 Minutes Recipe

Hello friends

I'm not very fond of sweets..but my family members surely are :) So to treat them for their sweet cravings, I try making some easy-peasy recipes.

Chocolate Cake is on the top of the list when asked for favourite dessert from anyone. So I tried baking an instant chocolate cake in a mug for the first time. I didn't use egg in the recipe, so that even vegetarians can relish this one.

Here is quick recipe of Mug Cake..

Ingredients:
All purpose flour (Maida) - 4 tbsp
Sugar (Powdered) - 2 tbsp
Coco powder - 1 tbsp
Salt - 2 pinches
Baking Soda - 1/8 tsp
Cooking oil - 3 tbsp
Milk - 3 tbsp

Method:
Mix all-purpose flour and cocoa powder in a microwave-safe mug.
Add powdered sugar. you may increase of decrease the quantity as per your taste. Also add salt and baking powder into it. Mix all dry ingredients in the mug properly.
Now add cooking oil and milk one by one into the mixture.

Mix everything well so that there are no lumps.
Once the smooth batter-like consistency is ready in the mug, microwave the mug for a minute.
Take a quick glance at the cake after a minute of baking. If you feel the cake is partially unbaked, give it one more round of baking in microwave for 30-60 sec.
The moist, chocolate cake is ready to satiate your craving within no time.
You may add nuts or choco chips to give the cake a better flavour and texture. The variation can be brought by adding essence of your choice as well.

Do let me know if you have any suggestions to bake it better :)
