I got a lovely combo consisting of two variants of their natural face cleansers i.e.
KASHMIRI SAFFRON & NEEM  (priced at Rs. 115 for 50 ml) and
MASHOBRA WILD HONEY, LEMON & ROSE WATER  (priced at Rs. 95 for 50 ml).
If you buy the combo, you will end up saving few bucks because the combo is priced at Rs. 195 here

Packaging:
The facewashes have similar packaging in soft black tube. The only difference is the variant details printed on either sides. The flip open cap on the tube makes it easy to take the product out. Also the tubes are quite light weight and easily portable.
Texture & Smell:
Both the facewashes have soothing fragrance. The Mashobra Wild Honey, Lemon & Rose Water cleanser has a mixed scent with prominent rose fragrance, whereas the Kashmiri Saffron & Neem cleanser has slightly wild scent that gives a kick. The fragrances persists for good hours and makes you feel fresh. I liked both the facewashes from this aspect.

The Mashobra Wild Honey Lemon & Rose Water cleanser is light orange in color and the other one is extremely pale yellow that hardly shows up color on your hand. The liquidity and runny consistency is also same for both the cleansers.
Mashobra Wild Honey Lemon & Rose Water

Kashmiri Saffron & Neem cleanser

Usage Experience:
The Mashobra Wild Honey, Lemon & Rose Water cleanser behaved really gentle on my dry skin. Lemon extract, as a natural astringent gave instant brightening & toning effect to the skin. I had my apprehension of stripping away the moisture from my facial skin that generally happens with me on using lemon juice in some home remedies. But packed with Vitamin C and then loaded with moisturizing honey, a few drops of the cleanser effectively lifted all the dirt and skin impurities in every wash without aggravating skin dryness issue. The rose water in the cleanser greatly contributed towards calming down my irritated skin. My overall experience says that this variant of the face cleanser can fit in the daily skin care regime of every person whatever skin type they have, specially dry skin type.

The Kashmiri Saffron & Neem cleanser is one of the unusual mix of ingredients I tried ever. The claims of skin fairness using Saffron are well known. With high hopes in my heart, I used this cleanser, but didn't expect any overnight change in my skin tone honestly. The deep cleansing of the face wash surely imparted a momentary glow on my face. The infusion of neem in the cleanser helps removing toxins from skin surface and purifies the skin. The cleanser seems suitable for all skin type including sensitive and oily skin.

Summary:
Ayurveda based brand.
Use of pure herbal ingredients.
Gentle cleansing properties.
Cleanse, nourish and replenish moisture.
Travel friendly and easy to use packaging.
No side effects.
Decently priced.

Product Review: Soultree Apricot Oil & Honey Moisturizer With Kokum Butter

Hi

I am so glad to receive a product from one of my much-appreciated brand Soultree few days ago. I could not resist using the product the moment it got delivered and here is my review on the same :)

Brand Info:
Soul Tree is India’s only range of certified natural personal care products. Made from Organic herbs and natural origin ingredients, it carries the assurance of BDIH seal, the German hall mark for natural beauty products. It is meant exclusively for the conscious consumer who is not willing to compromise. All its products are environment friendly. The raw material sourcing follows environment friendly practices like organic farming & water conservation. The products themselves are non-toxic.

Product Description
This fragrant, non-greasy skin care lotion is a blend of vitamin-rich oil cold pressed from ripe Himalayan Apricots, organically cultivated ayurvedic herbs, and wild honey from the Sirumalai forests of South India. It is further infused with Kokum butter, known for its hydrating and regenerating properties to keep your skin naturally moisturised, supple and smooth.

Ingredients:
Aqua, Aloe barbadensis*, Coco-caprylate/caprate, Prunus armeniaca (Apricot) oil, Helianthus annus* oil, Glycerin, Glyceryl stearate SE, Garcinia indica (Kokum) butter, Cetearyl alcohol, Mel* (Honey), Sodium benzoate, Potassium sorbate, Rubia cordifolia*, Tocopherol, Parfum**, Sodium stearoyl glutamate, Xanthan gum, Lactic acid, Limonene**, Linalool**, Geraniol**

** indicates from Essential Oils
How to use:
Apply daily after a shower all over your body and face. Use firm, upward strokes, particularly around the neck and jawline. If you have oily facial skin, refrain from using it on your face.

Price: Rs 350 for 200 ml. Can be purchased here
Shelf Life: 30 months
Packaging:
The moisturizer comes in a cylindrical plastic bottle with black cap. The flip-open cap has small hole pierced into it to take out enough quantity.

My experience with the product:
The Apricot Oil & Honey Moisturizer With Kokum Butter which I received is from Soultree's Amrita - Soul to Skin range. I loved the concept that they have given meaningful hindi themes to every category of the products (y)

The moisturizer is pale brown/beige in color. It has deep nutty fragrance that seems originating from real apricot oil. The fragrance settles down to a lighter tone after some time. It will not bother those who dislike stronger scents.
I liked the consistency of the moisturizer which is slightly thicker, but it doesn't make the product tougher to penetrate the skin. It spreads easily on the skin and shows no undesired sheen on skin post application. The apricot oil is very finely absorbed by the skin & works on the deeper layers, leaving a non-greasy feel.

The brilliant emollient formulated with apricot oil, kokum butter and honey keeps the skin hydrated for good long time and increases the re-application intervals. It relieves me a lot when I need not use it every now n then.

The brand recommends the moisturizer to be suitable for body as well as face. I have used very small quantity on my face and it caused me no issues. But oily skin won't be able to handle it. Not only does the moisturizer performs its main job of keeping the skin soft n supple, but also prevents skin damage due to its anti-oxidant and anti-ageing properties.

Not to forget, a little quantity is enough per usage. My son (who seems to be a budding junior reviewer in my team now) says "itna sa lagaya hai, to bhi lagta hai jaise bahot zayada lagaya ho" So I am expecting my bottle to last till the end of winter months, else no worries... coz I will buy another one for sure ;)

Pros:
Contains no Parabens or Silicons
Certified Organic Ayurvedic Herbs
Made from organically cultivated ayurvedic herbs
Free of Synthetic Preservatives, Colours or Fragrances
Recyclable Packaging
No Animal Testing
Nice fragrance.
Intense moisturization.

Cons:
Slightly expensive for some, but I don't mind paying some extra bucks for the excellent product.

Soultree Apricot Oil & Honey Moisturizer With Kokum Butter is a product to keep your dry skin healthy specially during cold weather. Its made with organically grown ingredients so won't have any side effects on your skin.

IHA Honey Moisturizing Dry Skin Bathing Bar Review

Hi Everyone

Here's again a treat for those who can't resist trying natural handmade soaps like me. I have been using many skin care products from the brand IHA and find them all drool worthy. Just like I'm in love with all of them, it’s hard not to buzz about this one too. I would review their Honey Moisturizing Dry Skin Bathing Bar today.
About the Product:
IHA Honey Dry Skin Bathing Bar is a rich creamy Body Wash that cleanses, moisturizes and soothes dry, itchy, sensitive and irritated skin. Its natural actives, moisturizers and emollients like honey, milk, mango and kokum butter provide natural moisture balance to your skin and you emerge from your bath feeling soft well-moisturized and delicately scented with the sweet aroma of Honey and Orange.

Complete Ingredients List:
Each gram contains Madhu (Honey) 50mg., Neem Oil (Azadirachta Indica) 50mg., Grihatkumari Leaf Extract (Aloe Vera) 50mg., Karanja Oil (Pongamia Pinata) 50mg., Mango Butter (Mangifera Indica) 20mg., Kokum Butter (Garcinia Indica) 20mg., Condensed Milk (Cow’s Milk) 20Mg., Orange Peel (Citrus Reticulata) 2.5mg., Glycerol 30mg., Fragrance.
Price: Rs 140
Weight: 125 gms
Shelf Life: 3 yrs
Packaging:
The soap bar comes in cardboard carton with every possible detail on how to use it, what has gone into its formulation, price n quantity etc. The soap bar itself is neatly wrapped in clear sheet and has a label stuck on it with the brand logo and name of variant written along.
My Experience:
Most of us know that honey is used in preparation of many skin care products and it does wonders to retain moisture in the skin. Many of you might be looking for a honey based soap during winter season when the harsh cold weather takes a toll on your skin, but I am the one with such dry skin that I need to be very selective for products that may lock in moisture in my skin. Highly impressed with IHA range of products, I picked this soap with great expectation.
The soap is brown in color with some darker swirls on brown within the soap bar which looks amazingly attractive. I could not actually relate the fragrance to honey and orange exactly, but its a sober blend of other ingredients too. A faint smell remains on skin for some time and then fades away. The soap bar is quite a good portion, so I don't mind cutting it into two halves and saving one piece for later use.
The soap is creamy as you hold it in your hand as well as when you rub it on your wet skin. It doesn't melt excessively, so one bar would last quite long. It lathers much more if you use loofah for rubbing it on skin. The skin feels soft and nourished post bath. I find it too mild to be used for my child also. Since the soap is enriched with various emollients like kokum butter, mango butter, cow's milk etc., I dared to use it on my face also. But I didn't rubbed the soap bar directly on facial skin, rather rubbed it between my palms, quickly applied on face and rinsed it without leaving it on my face for longer. I didn't experience any side effects, breakouts etc.
The soap bar is pH balanced so it doesn't disturb the natural moisture balance of the skin.
Though at times I need to follow up applying a moisturizer to cure dryness of my skin, so I prefer using the Skin Dew Moisturizer from the same brand which has been reviewed here.

Pros:

  • Deeply moisturizes the skin.
  • Doesn't cause itching or stretchy feel.
  • Suited for dry to normal skin as well as sensitive skin.
  • Doesn't melt easily.
  • Smells nice.
  • Excellent ingredients including Kokum butter, mango butter, cow's milk
  • No animal testing.
  • Decent Price.
  • Easy online availability.

Cons:
None.

To sum it up, IHA Honey Moisturizing Dry Skin Bathing Bar is not an expensive buy, but much more than a superfood to come up with skin smoothening results. Including it in your daily bath routine with make your skin feel free from impurities with gentle cleaning.
