New Launch- Fuschia Handmade Soaps

Natural handcrafted soaps are a luxurious treat in keeping your skin healthy. With its creamy lather and wonderful fragrances, pampering yourself has never felt so good. Its popularity is growing rapidly as a chemical free alternative to conventional soaps.

Fuschia is one of the brands that makes indulgent handmade skincare products including soaps in numerous fragrances. I've been using their products since past 4 years (which is a really long period) and they always left me wanting for more n more. You name any product and Fuschia has something for everyone; be it bathing bars, facial creams, body lotions, shampoos, facial serums and the list goes on ;) If you search my blog for the reviews of Fuschia products, you'll realise there is nothing I didn't test and love from their collection.

Recently, the brand came up with it's new products in bath and body category and sent me a box containing 4 newly introduced variants of handmade bathing bars.
I received soaps in following fragrances - Citrus Loofah Soap, Peach Plush, Rosemary Charcoal,  Spring Splash. See how they look like..

Fuschia has completely revamped the packaging of its bathing bars. You may check out my older posts and would realise how they have always brought in some positive changes in the look and feel of their products.
This time the soaps have been packed in a pink cardboard box. The soap bar itself is sealed in a clear cling sheet.
I actually like non-fancy packaging as they are not going to product behaviour and efficacy. Yes, they should not look shabby, but just decent is good for me. The outer carton has got ingredients, shelf life, price, quantity printed on it, as expected.

What makes my family love these Fuschia soap bars always ...
1. The soaps are made of natural ingredients sans chemicals.
2. The fresh clean fragrance of essential aroma oils gives soothing sensory pleasure not only when you bathe, but also when you take a round to the washroom. Seriously, the entire space of the washroom smells fresh.
3. Most of the soaps offer healing & curative properties  for common skin disorders like acne, eczema etc.
4. The soaps contain the natural humectant (moisturizer) glycerin, so is a boon for dry skinned people. The amount of moisture that is left on the skin after bath is truly a saviour from that stretchy feeling.
5. The firmness of the soap bar is such that it gives dense creamy lather without melting down undesirably.
6. The cleansing and conditioning ability of the soap to trap the dirt on the skin is really great. You can just wash/rinse it off without much rubbing from skin.
7. The soaps don't contain toxic ingredients like SLS, paraben, phthalate etc, so these're not going to be causes of skin irritation and skin sensitiveness.
On receiving the soaps, I knew the loofah soap has to be my fav in any case, but by the time my family experienced refreshing bath with all of these; I had lost my sense of preference one over the another because all of the these are equally good.
The superior skin care properties of these soaps make my family fall for the skin-loving soaps again n again and I genuinely wait to grab more o Fuschia products. So if you're seeking out natural handmade soap, explore Fuschia range for product free from synthetic preservatives or artificial hardeners. It may cost bit more (Rs. 250 for 100gm each) as compared to commercial products, but you'll get the benefits what you've paid for.

Fuschia Natural Soaps Review (Yogurt Delight and Orange Peel)

Fuschia soaps have been my most preferred ones among the exhaustive products that the brand has to offer. I must say they have a widest variety of handmade natural soaps to choose from and every single soap variant is made up of natural ingredients without any harmful chemicals. So, one can safely rely on the quality that these soaps offer without causing any harm to your skin.

I received and used two of the variants of Fuschia soaps last month that is in Yogurt Delight and Orange Peel.
As I received these soaps, the first thing I noticed was the improved packaging. I had been using Fuschia soaps since years now and I can recall the packaging used to be of handmade colourful paper in older times. The newer version of packaging has got a nice brown cardboard box with a beautifully printed label on it to refer to its variant name and ingredients list. The soap bars inside in box are properly sealed in cellophane sheet to preserve its hygiene and fragrance.

Each of the soap bars is large enough to hold in your hand easily. I prefer rectangular shaped soap bars over round, oval, square ones for they tend not to slip easily due to fine grip (it may be my individual choice).
Both the soap variants have mild yet refreshing fragrance. The fragrance is short-lived and doesn’t last after you step out from shower. But I’m ok with it as I don’t sweat much and have no issues like body odour to fight with ;)

I found the soaps not-so-quick to melt as compared to natural soaps from other brands which easily melt and finish off quite soon. The texture of Fuschia soaps also aids that these do not lose their shape till the end. These soaps make your skin feel clean from the top and moisturized from deep inside. The finest ingredients gone into the formula include many nourishing oils, fruits n vegetable extracts and ofcourse the glycerine base. All this helps to retain skin’s natural oils intact without making the skin dry, itchy or scratchy. This is all I want in my soap bar.
The nutrients and anti-oxidants present in Orange Peel soap are very potent in healing many skin conditions. Using this soap regularly keeps the skin toned and free from acne.
On the other hand, Yogurt Delight soap is rich in antibacterial properties and provides instant glow to your skin by removing dirt, dead skin and all kinds of impurities from deep inside the skin.
Each of the soap bars is priced at Rs. 250 which is worth paying for a cruelty-free, chemical-free product that is must-have for everyday bath and body essential to keep the skin healthy and glowing.

Fuschia Sunscreen Matte Gel (SPF 30) Review

Is polluted environment making your skin dull and unappealing? Well no need to worry anymore because Fuschia presents you paraben and phthalate free Sunscreen Matte Gel . The blend of aloe vera, olive oil and licorice extract are perfect to harmonize your skin & protection against sun-induced skin damages. Aloevera and olive oil cure the damage caused by sun rays & can treat sunburns as easily as it can slow down the aging of the skin. SunCat DE acts as a sunscreen agent, anti-oxidant, anti-aging and protective agent. This attractive new sunscreen matte gel gets absorbed in your skin instantly and protects adequately from UVA & UVB rays.

This is what Fuschia Sunscreen Matte Gel claims to do. And here goes my review on this product...
Fuschia Sunscreen Matte Gel comes in a small plastic bottle in white colour. There is black screw cap on bottle with flip opening over the top. The spout enables easy dispense of product. The information like ingredient list, mfg date, shelf life, price etc. is printed on the bottle label.
The texture of the sunscreen is of a moderately thick cream. The term ’gel’ used in the product name sounds misleading to me as the product is not gel-like either in texture or appearance. Despite the consistency, the sunscreen spreads easily on skin and gets absorbed as you massage it into skin with gentle strokes.
The product stands to its claims of ‘matte’ effect. You will notice that the product leaves no shiny, greasy layer on the top surface of your skin after it sinks into skin. It may serve as a great choice for people who struggle picking a suitable product for their oily skin. For people like me whose skin is more on drier side, the product may be bit more drying so a layer of moisturizer underneath will make the feel of sunscreen much comfortable on skin.
The sunscreen smells really nice, that’s something sweet and floral which most people would like. The smell is not sharp or overpowering, but cannot be considered mild too. Only people who are extremely sensitive to fragrances may find it strong, else it’s an easy-to-go-with kinda fragrance for most people.

Fuschia Sunscreen Matte Gel is formulated with SPF 30 for UVA and UVB protection which could have been on higher content, but is reasonably enough for sun protection in warmer regions like ours.

Now coming to the affordability of the product, I feel Rs 450 for a 50ml packaging will certainly pinch pockets of many of us (though the brand keeps on offering certain percentage of discount on its products regularly).
To sum up, Fuschia Sunscreen Matte Gel SPF 30 is a decent choice for a quality product that is worth an addition in your beauty kit atleast once and can be repurchased if gels well with your skin type :)

Fuschia Herbal Fusion Natural Shampoo Review

A shampoo that promises to deliver chemical-free, gentle care to my hair deserves a testing for sure. Fuschia by Vkare launched a herbal shampoo some time back that claims to clean your hair while addressing issues like hair fall.
Product Claims:
Fuschia Herbal Fusion Shampoo has been enriched with 9 Ayurvedic herbs to take care of your Hair. It is a rejuvenating therapy for dull and dry hair as it brings back the natural shine and strengthens the root thus reducing Hair fall issues too. It is a SLS, SLES, Parabens & Phthalates free shampoo. This formulation has been developed to combat problems of hair loss. It makes sure it to provide adequate hair nutrition while cleansing the scalp and conditions it with natural follicle stimulation and prevents thinning of hair and baldness. It does suit all hair types, be it Oily, Dry or Normal. Shine & Volume is maintained in both Men & Women.
Fuschia Herbal Infusion Shampoo comes in a tiny, see-through plastic bottle with a screw cap over it. There are stickers on either sides with details like product name, quantity, ingredients, price etc. Considering the size of the bottle, it's easy to carry around. But I expected an inner lid with a hole under the screw cap that could have controlled the quantity of excess product coming out accidently.
The shampoo has runny consistency, somewhat thinner than usual shampoos I've used. It lathers lightly, but does its job of cleaning your scalp and hair effcetively. For longer hair like mine, I need bit extra quantity so as to thoroughly remove all build up. I found the shampoo really mild, so people who wash their hair every morning would love to use it as their everyday hair cleanser.
The shampoo claims to be formulated with infusion of 9 herbs, but it couldn't find the names of all the herbs in ingredients list. The shampoo works well for all hair types without stripping your hair of its natural oils, rather lends your hair the healthy shine that it needs. I didn't notice a change in hair growth rate after using almost half the quantity; but the blend of amla, lemon, shikakai, brahmi extracts with many essential oils helps fighting with dandruff, hair fall, itchy scalp with prolonged use. The shampoo leaves a refreshing fragrance behind after you rinse your hair.
The Fuschia Herbal Fusion Shampoo is priced at Rs. 450 for 100 ml bottle which would pinch your pocket for sure. But the ones who are looking for a SLS, SLES, Parabens & Phthalates free shampoo may give it a shot.

Revive Your Dull Skin To Radiance ft. Fuschia Serums

You can wear as many layers of makeup that can turn your tired skin into gorgeously fresh looking, but the fact is it's still not healthy from inside. Serums are the new striking beauty/skincare products in market these days that are the supplements for your skin needs and should be used as a part of balanced skin care regimen. I've used a few under different brands and today's post features the ones available at Fuschia.

To make it more appropriate, let's start by knowing that serums are comparatively fast-absorbing than a cream, lotion or oil and penetrate deeper into your skin to provide vital nutrients to skin. Usually, there are different formulas used for age-defying, glow-enhancement, hydrate skin or cure puffiness under eyes.

I've tried three serums from Fuschia range i.e. Anti-Blemish Serum, Ageless Serum, Under Eye Serum.
The packaging is really cool. It's a transparent pump dispenser, quite convenient to ooze out the product and cute to look at. The pump works seamless and has got a covering cap over its top. The pump nozzle remains covered to avoid coming in contact with dust etc and also prevents leakage. You will get to read the ingredients list and every important information on the label.
Each of the serums are priced at Rs 1250 which is high on price point, but currently being sold at Rs 850.
Under Eye Serum is a clear gel with dull scent to it. It's ingredient list is quite impressive containing cucumber extract, green tea extract and green coffee beans extract along with aloe vera, olive oil, glycerin and Vitamin E. I use this serum twice a day - once in the morning as well as before going the bed in the night. The antioxidant rich product is ideal to work on puffiness that you might experience as you get up in the morning. The delicate eye area feels hydrated and firm instantly, but won't dramatically reduce dark circles unless prolonged usage.

Anti-Blemish serum is quick-action formula to refresh your skin and give a temporary suppleness. A light-textured, pale peachy product is enriched with Mulberry extract, Saffron extract, along with aloe vera, olive oil, glycerin and Vitamin E. It has nice sweet aroma which reminds me of some tasty dessert ;) Lightly patting the serum on skin is enough for its absorption to achieve intensely nourished skin. After a use of almost two week, I could see little difference in skin appearance, which is a sign of positive result in coming weeks. The skin elasticity has certainly improved and I'm sure it's doing more good deep inside.

Ageless serum is similar to Anti-Blemish serum in texture and consistency, only the shade is ivory. It smells of rose water and feels cool. Other ingredients include Thermus Thermophilus extract that prevents wrinkles & dark spots. Aloe Vera moisturizes dehydrated and itchy skin for immediate relief. Any of these serums is just fine while preparing your skin for makeup in the morning.

All of these serums are water based and so, should be applied under any other product. It'll allow the serums to be rapidly absorbed by the skin. Those with extra dry skin may feel that water based serums are not sufficiently moisturizing for them, but these are generously hydrating. I have added these to my morning+night routine after which I may/may not layer up with desired moisturizer.

There are few other serums at Fuschia that you may be looking for addressing your specific concern. Simply know the ingredients that may work for you and adapt the product for a smooth, youthful, tightened, brightened and plump skin.

Fuschia Garden Lavender Face & Body Invigorating Scrub Review

There is no specific time of the year when you need a good scrub for your skin. We all want to exfoliate our way to super soft skin always and forever. To give my skin a squeaky clean feel, I've using Fuschia Garden Lavender Face & Body Invigorating Scrub since a month or so. And I'm up with a review today...

Product Info:
Enriched with Lavender, this scrub acts as an astringent and controls acne breakouts. This scrub not only tones and soothes your skin but calms your senses.

Directions for use:
Apply the scrub to moist skin and rub it in a circular motion. Rinse thoroughly with water.

Ingredients:
Aloe Vera, Lavender Flower, Olive Oil, Wheat Germ Oil
Garden Lavender scrub is a gray colored scrub with blackish grains embedded within. It smells heavenly beautiful, all natural floral scent of Lavender without artificial perfumes. The first time, when I smeared it on my face, I left it on skin for next few minutes just to enjoy the refreshing smell. It felt like I've stepped into a luxury spa ;)
A look at the scrub gave the impression of a gritty texture, but it's really gentle on skin yet coarse enough to remove the dead skin. The essential oils used in the product make it a balanced formula not to cause excessive dryness. The scrub doesn't sting like some salt-based exfoliators, and makes a good choice specially for oily skin type. I recommend dry skin people layer up their skin with a good moisturizer or body oil after rinsing the skin.
Since the scrub can be used for face as well as body, it does a good job to prep your arms and legs for waxing session plus it works even better on my elbows and feet (mentioned many times in my posts that I'm extra caring for my feet). The rinsing and cleaning the product off my skin is not messy as it comes off easily. The quantity provided in a 100 gm pack would last really long as little quantity is enough.

In short, this scrub gets your skin surface free of all kinds of impurities resulting in a toned, smooth skin. To add to all this, the product is free of SLS, parabens, phthalates (means no side effects) What more do you ask for? So get one for yourself.

Fuschia Blush Face Mask Review

A facial mask is one of my preferred skin care product to transform my skin into clearer irresistible one. So getting to try a Rose & Calamine mask from Fuschia on myself was certainly a welcome offer to cleanse my skin.

The mask comes in a transparent, plastic tub with metalic screw cap. The tub has wide opening, so it's super easy to scoop out the product while using. The packaging is light-weight and unbreakable, so no worries even if you mishandle it occasionally ;)
I wish the packaging should be improved because I couldn't find any label on it mentioning price, mfg date and expiry date etc. which is definitely an important read before using a product.
The mask is of deep pink color and has thick texture. It exactly resembles the soaked Multani Mitti in texture. Due to its semi-solid kind of texture, it won't spill if the container is flipped upside down.
Ingredients:
Rose Water, Kaolin Light, China Clay, Calamine Powder, Glycerin, Aloe Vera, Bentonite Powder, Vitamin E.
This variant of Fuschia face mask is enriched with different natural active ingredients like Rose Water, Kaolin Light, China Clay, Calamine Powder etc which impart the product their unique properties.

The mask is quite easy to spread in a thin layer on skin without requirement of diluting it, provided you use your fingers to apply it evenly. Those who prefer using brush to apply mask may have to mix plain water or rose water to lighten its consistency. On application of the mask on your skin, there is mild cooling sensation that doesn't sting your skin or eyes at all. It smells of rose but not very strong. Leave the mask over your skin and relax for 15-20 minutes. It dries up pretty quick and can be rinsed with plain water. It's recommended to use this masks once or twice a week.
After I rinsed my face, I had to moisturize the skin generously since Kaolin Clay is one of the most powerful absorbent and reduces the oil and grease of your skin. China clay is too good to detoxify the skin and acts like a cleansing agent. One can use the mask to heal the damage caused by inflammation and to get rid of acne and pimples. It tightens the pores and draws impurities. This mask purifies, vitalizes and boosts the cell renewal rate of the skin thereby making the skin breathe well.
In short, Fuschia Blush Face Mask is an ideal skin care preparation for acne-prone and oily skin types. The mild properties of the mask do not cause any side-effects (though a patch test is always recommended.)

Where to buy: Rs 450
