Plum Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal Review

Hi

Looking for an excellent eye-makeup product that commits of no-toxic content?? The answer is Plum Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal that is created with loads of love and care for the most beautiful yet sensitive part of our body i.e. our eyes.

Plum has been one of the MOST fav brand since the day I started using their products and my affinity is increasing every passing day. Earlier I have been using their skin care products like Choco-latte Luxuriant Body Lotion, Grape Seed & Sea Buckthorn Scrub and Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer. And today's post is something different bcz its about their mineral makeup product :)
Ingredients:
Jojoba oil: a skin-compatible naturally occurring “goody” that resembles the natural chemistry of sebum on skin, it has excellent healing and moisturizing properties to keep your eyes shining through the day.
Macadamia oil: Rich in antioxidants, including squalene, a naturally occurring antioxidant present within our skin.
Chamomile flower extracts: Soothing, relaxing, and calming.
Mango seed oil: a really exquisite source of essential fatty acids and vitamins in our kohl kajal.
Price: Rs 425
Weight: 1.14 gm
Available here.
Why should you buy PlumAngel Eyes Kohl Kajal?
♥ Heavenly soft texture cushions your eye. All-day irritation-free wearing comfort.
♥ 100% natural formula. Free of synthetic preservatives, dyes & fragrances. Suitable for contact-lens wearers, those with sensitive eyes, and everyone looking for an everyday chemical-free kajal.
♥ Rich "True Black" color with excellent coverage & long-lasting application.
♥ Soothing chamomile extracts, hydrating jojoba oil & nourishing macadamia and mango-seed oils for soft, nourished skin.
♥ Excellent skin compatibility, suitable for sensitive skin.
♥ Dermatologically approved.
♥ Encased in a beautiful wooden pencil crafted from sustainably grown Weymouth Pine wood (FSC certified).
♥ Natural Vitamin E antioxidant. Helps against ageing of skin.
♥ Finished product not tested on animals.
♥ Made in the EU and conforms to US, European and Japanese regulations.
My experience:
Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal is a pencil kajal just like an ordinary pencil used by a school kid. The color theme of Angel Eyes Kohl is identical to what their brand logo follows i.e. cute purple text print on white background that instantly attracted me.
The Angel Eye Kohl is kajal pencil which needs sharpening after the tip gets dense. Though I personally like the twist-up kajals, because the chances are there to get the broken tip leading to sheer wastage. But since Plum's Kajal is a sublime formulation with many natural oils to avoid irritation to sensitive eyes,  I had been dying to try and use it since long.
The kajal is nicely pigmented and I found it easy to apply due to its ease of gliding on the waterline without any fuss. The kajal gives a perfect black tone in single stroke that makes my small eyes look bigger. A repeated swipe twice or thrice can be tried for a intense dark tone specially on lashline.
Talking about its staying power, the kajal remains on my eyes for almost 5-6 hrs without smudging or fading away. It actually won my heart as I felt no temptation to rub or scratch my eyes like I usually feel after applying any eye makeup, neither did it caused my eyes to behave non-sense and water without reason. I completely trust on its composition that claims to use 100% natural ingredients.
The kajal is not water-proof. If you wash your face, it tends to fade away. It comes off easily with a eye-makeup remover or some oils safe for eyes.
The kajal pencil is accompanied with a posh pencil sharpener with dual sharpening holes that works perfectly for 8 mm and 12 mm pencils. A lil fine plastic stick is incorporated within the sharpener to clean the mess if (by any chance) the pencil tip breaks and gets struck inside the sharpener.
The sharpener is priced at Rs 125, but the brand is generous enough to send you one Free of Cost with a Plum Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal :) So its a deal not to be missed !

Pros:
Natural ingredients.
No chemicals.
Stays on waterline for good 5-6 hrs.
Gives dark black look to eyes.
Causes no irritation.
Easy online availability.
Comes with a free sharpener.
Suitable for contact-lens wearers.

Cons:
I wish to have another variants in different colors.
A twist up / roll on kajal would be more adorable.
Slightly pricey.

Overall Opinion:
Plum Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal providing extra care to your sensitive eyes is a lovely makeup product to wear on everyday basis. It causes just bright looking eyes and not inflamed ones. There is no wonder if get to go addicted to it.

Plum Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer Review

Hello Everyone

I am feeling too happy to find a mattifying moisturizer that in excitement I forgot to mention which name is associated with this lovely product. I'm talking about the Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer from Plum.

Plum, a well established name in natural skin care has really finest taste and in-depth knowledge to formulate skin-safe products. Today I am reviewing their Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer.

Product Claims:
Silicone-free, matte-finish moisturizer with hand-picked non-comedogenic ingredients. Daily pleasant after-feel, non-shiny finish and acne combat.

This is just the light moisturizer that oily skin types had been waiting for. Multi-dimensional care that includes: controlled hydration, non-shiny matte finish, acne (pimples) combat and a fresh, clear appearance.
Ingredients:
Aqua (Water), Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ethylhexylglycerine, Fragrance, FDA Approved Colours, Glycerin, Glycolic Acid, PEG 400, Phenoxyethanol, Stearic Acid, Triethanolamine.

The Key ingredients:
Green tea extract: The anti-oxidants in green tea apply the brakes on oxidation reactions that lead up to bacterial proliferation that in turn cause acne.
Glycolic acid: Preventing acne is better than treating it. Glycolic acid plays an important role in skin renewal and prevents build-up of skin debris that can cause acne.
How to use?
Gently apply required quantity on face and neck once or twice a day, after cleansing and toning face. Avoid using foundation or compact that can clog pores.

Price: RS. 450 for 50 ml. (Buy here on Plum website or from Amazon or Flipkart)

Packaging:
The Plum Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer comes in a sleek, easy-to-grip pump dispenser bottle pack in white color. The formation of the bottle's top nozzle makes really comfortable to use because unlike many other products whose nozzle is pierced right on the top need to be bent in slanted position to eject the liquid, but Plum has stretched the nozzle slightly outward so that we may dispense the moisturizer in straight right position itself. Not to forget, the transparent plastic cap on the bottle neck shuts quite tightly and makes the packaging spill proof.
My take on the product:
Plum Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer is pale green color liquid of moderate consistency. Its not watery thin, but not very thick. Only one pump of the moisturize is enough to cover whole facial area and similar quantity can be applied on neck as well. It is very light on skin and spreads easily on gentle rubbing only. As it gets dried on your skin after slight rubbing, you will not notice any hint of greasy or oily sheen left behind. And that is the reason they call it mattifying. The oily skinned beauties will find it a bliss for themselves.
The product boasts of being non-comedogenic which in simple words means that it contains no ingredients that may cause you blackheads. Regular usage of green tea mattifying moisturizer is a long-term promise of preventing acne plus it will effectively cures the redness and irritation of the skin caused due to acne.
The skin feels absolutely supple post application like the moisturizer deeply sinks into skin. I am loving it soothing fragrance. The pleasant scent stays on for quite some time, but you need to sniff it closely. Why to expect from a moisturizer to behave like a deodorant !! (just kidding)
Being a green tea lover and knowing about its antioxidants characteristics, I believe that by the time I end up finishing the whole content in the pack, I'll definitely experience a positive difference in both the feel and appearance of my skin with a clearer, more radiant complexion without any side effects.

Pros:
Light on skin.
Matte finish moisturizer.
Best suitable for oily skin, but goes well with all skin types.
Fights against the acne due to green tea extract.
100% silicone-free.
None of the ingredients blocks the pores.
Paraben-free, SLS-free, phthalate-free.
Wider online availability.
Easy to use dispenser.

Cons:
Expensive.

Final Word:
Plum Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer is one of the coolest instantly hydrating facial moisturizer packed with nourishing organic nutrients which are not harsh to skin. I strongly recommend to incorporate Plum's GTMM into your skin maintenance routine to possibly narrow down skin issues.

Plum Grape Seed & Sea Buckthorn Scrub Review

I still remember the day when I had first used a product from Plum (if you did miss that post, here is the clickable link for the same) and was instantaneously fallen in love with the brand. Infact I am myself surprised why did I delay reviewing more products from their product range. So better late than never, today I am writing about my experience on Plum's Grape Seed & Sea Buckthorn Scrub.

Brief about the brand:
Plum is India's first online-only beauty solution brand focused on restoring and maintaining your skin as nature made it to be. Always free of parabens, phthalates, SLS and other harmful chemicals.
Product Claims:
Plum Grape Seed & Sea Buckthorn Scrub is perfect for daily cleansing and gentle exfoliation for all skin types. The product is a gently foaming formula with mild natural cellulose scrub with no scratchy plastic. It is filled with antioxidant goodness of grape seed oil & healing sea buckthorn oil. It cleanses better than a face wash and gently removes dead cells, promoting natural skin renewal process.
Ingredients:
Aqua (Water), Carbomer, Cellulose Beads, Cocamide DEA, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Ethylhexylglycerin, FDA Approved Colours, Fragrance, Glycerin, Hippophae Rhamnoides (Sea Buckthorn) Fruit Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Laureth Sulphate, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil.
  • Cellulose beads: These 100% biodegradable, natural, skin-friendly scrubbing beads gently buff away debris and dead cells, leaving your skin looking fresh and healthy. Great for sensitive skin.
  • Grape seed oil: Rich in linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid important for the skin and cell membranes, and in vitamins and anti-oxidants, grape seed oil provides anti-oxidant protection against pollutants, sun damage and free radicals.
  • Sea buckthorn oil: The most potent plant source in the world for the highly coveted and elusive Omega 7 fatty acid.
Price & Qty: Rs. 335 for 75 gm.
Availability: Can be bought from many popular websites like AmazonFlipkart etc as well as from official Plum website here

How to use?
Foam up and scrub gently on face and neck, twice a day. Pat dry with soft towel and follow with a toner and moisturizer.

My take on the product
The scrub comes in a soft-to-press tube packaging that has a flip-cap on the top. The cap is moderately tight to keep the liquid intact. This tube is housed in a cardboard carton in the same color theme as of the tube. And also enlists detailed description of the product usage, ingredients, price, quantity etc.
The scrub itself is a translucent liquid of runny texture that contains scarlet cellulose beads gentle enough for skin-friendly scrubbing. The beads are minute is size and are dispersed far away in the liquid so that there is no harsh scratches on skin post scrubbing.
The brand recommends to use the scrub twice a day, but since mine is dry skin, I prefer using it once in a day in the morning only. I use almost a coin sized scrub to cleanse my entire face and find it enough per usage. The scrub produces mild foam and feels absolutely tender on skin. So I agree to the brand claims that it can be used on a daily basis for effective removal of dead cells from the skin.

The scrub smells soothing and refreshing. The smell doesn't linger on for too long but you may sniff it for quite some time after usage. As the grape seeds possess anti-oxidant properties, the scrubs manages to fight well with signs of ageing and sun damage.
I feel like touching my soft n supple skin after splashing some water on cleansed skin. I experienced no itching or irritation post scrubbing. It didn't cause any rashes on my face either. I followed the scrubbing with moisturizer for fine result.

Pros:
Exfoliates and polishes skin effectively.
Soap-free and SLS-free.
Removes dead skin cells.
Suitable for all skin types.
Contributes in battling with ageing and sun damage.
Enriched with healing capability due to antioxidants, vitamins and minerals
Smells Nice.
Parabean Free

Cons:
Actually nothing, but wish it could be Sulphate free as well.

Final Verdict:
True to its claims, Plum Grape Seed & Sea Buckthorn Scrub gives instantly brightened, polished appearance with a soft, supple after-feel. It won't harm even the sensitive skin while daily application. With prolonged use, it can be described as a complete protection against signs of ageing, pollutants and sun tan as well.

Plum Choco-latte Luxuriant Body Lotion Review

Every chocolate-lover like me can swear by the quote above and I have been believing it religiously ever. My belief got firmer when a decently looking skin-friendly product i.e.      Plum Choco-latte Luxuriant Body Lotion reached me few days back. Coz like my usual practice, when I started reading the detailed info on the product pack, seeing the same wordings written there left me all amused :)

I'm going to share my views about Plum Choco-latte Luxuriant Body Lotion today.

Look n Feel of Packaging:
The Plum Choco-latte Luxuriant Body Lotion comes in a sturdy plastic liquid dispenser pump bottle of somewhat very pale white-brown color with locking clip that can be rotated clockwise for locking n can be rotated anti-clockwise for opening. The initial discharge for the first use comes out in 3-4 pumps with as enough quantity required for one time usage.

What All ingredients are welcomed?

Plum, with its short yet meaningful tagline "Be Good", ensures to indulge our delicate skin into goodness of genuinely life-friendly n natural ingredients in all their products. Same is true for Choco-latte Luxuriant Body Lotion too, which is formulated with Aqua (Water as a base of lotion), Cetearyl Alcohol (extracted from plants like palm or coconut & used as lotion thickener), Ethylhexylglycerine (works as preservative booster in the lotion), FDA Approved Colours n Fragrance, Glycerin (to attract moisture to skin and to keep away dryness), Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil (its the similar sunflower oil that is edible),
Phenoxyethanol (again a preservative used to keep the formulation intact), Stearic Acid (works as a softener), Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter (commonly named as Cocoa butter, the most tempting n indulgent moisturizer) and Triethanolamine (adjusts the pH level in the lotion formulation).

Digging deep into the finest details of ingredients, it got proved why the Founder of Plum had quoted with great pride that "Goodness & knowledge have one amazing thing in common: the more you give, the more you get."

What All is not acceptable?

Plum strictly avoids using certain ingredients in its products which are harmful and toxic for human skin like parabean, SLS, DEA or synthetic fragrances etc. Their commitment towards safe ingredients can be read here.

Ingredient List
My experience with Plum Choco-latte Luxuriant Body Lotion
My skin is usually thirsty for more n more moisture round the clock n throughout the year. Yeah... its needs to be fed with finer quality of food in good quantity ;) Plum's Chololatte body lotion came as a healthier solution to dryness of my skin.

Resisting the temptation to lick the creamy textured and deliciously fragrant lotion was indeed a task as soon as I took out few drops on my palm for the first time. Thankfully!! Plum claims it to be "strictly inedible"  ;) After its application on my skin, I was under the continuous impression as if a steaming hot cuppa drinking chocolate is lying beside me and I ended up smelling my wrist quite a few times while being busy with my work  ;)

I had been checking my arms' upper half frequently for those signs of usual li'l dry patches that are generally visible in few hours after bathing, but Plum kept its promise of goodness perfectly, as there was no sign of dryness even after 6-7 hours.

The lotion's consistency is not watery thin, rather like a gel it quietly stays on your palm till you rub it with bare hands on your external skin. The very very pale brownish toned lotion gets absorbed into skin quite prompt without leaving that usual shiny, greasy layer on the top. It prevents skin breakout also because the moisture is locked in the skin by the use of generous quantity of cocoa butter as an active ingredient.

Pros:
1. Natural Ingredients
2. Skin Safe n Environment Safe.
3. Yummiliciously Aromatic.
4. Travel friendly packaging with safe locking.
5. Convenient To Use Bottle.
6. Non-greasy Formulation with sufficient Moisture.
7. Easy Ordering Process & Promise of Prompt Delivery.
8. Not Animal Tested i.e Cruelity Free.
Cons:
 1. A bit expensive for Rs. 390 for 200 ml (but who won't be ready to pay few extra pennies if the assurance of healthy youthful skin comes along)
2. Only available online and not at physical stores.
My overall thought is that Plum's Chocolatte lotion can not only repair your dry skin during harsh winter, but it’s light enough to carry you all the way through hot summers too. The high one gets from eating or drinking chocolates can now definitely be enjoyed by wearing a layer of chocolatte on your skin (if you are so calorie-conscious;) ) I'm myself trapped to its addiction now :)

And those who still need a reason to buy from Plum, this one is for you all....Plum gives away 1% of its overall sale to environmental non-profit organizations being a global member of One Percent for The Planet. I salute their involvement in such noble gesture and infact, they indirectly give their customers a chance to contribute for the betterment of our planet.

Now, I've found happiness for my skin. If you are convinced on rewarding your skin with a skin-safe n natural body lotion, you can simply go through Plum's lovely product range on their website here or can just SMS PLUM on 56161 to take guidance from their advisors. The plus point is that Plum charges NO SHIPPING FEE on most products all over India.
