Wow Factor for Your Nails - Oriflame Very Me Metallic Nail Polish

"The secret to a perfect mani-pedi is great nail polish."
On my last birthday in October, I had painted my nails in Aqua Green Metallic Nail Polish from Oriflame's Very Me range and I also did a review for the same. If you missed the post, checkout here. The nail polish matched so well with my outfit and accessories that I was almost bombarded with compliments by everybody. Infact, I was keen to try the entire range because it looked so trendy. Now after so many months, I've got a chance to use and review other shades in this range and here I share my review and swatches...

The nailpaints come in small transparent glass bottles and there is nothing exclusive about the appearance of packaging. The brush applicator is wide enough to paint the nail in two full strokes. It's quite convenient to apply the nail paint, since it has appropriate medium consistency, neither very thick nor runny. Not only the application part is non-messy, also it dries up pretty quick. A great percentage of messing up my nail-paint is because of long drying -up time, which this range completely prevents.

While adding a nail-paint among my fav beauty products, I look for certain qualities like it should offer a good value by being long-staying, budget-friendly and chip-resistant. What I admire about Very Me metalic nail paints is that if you apply two coats of it on your nails for an opaque coverage, it'll last bright and shiny for a full week WITHOUT using a top coat and then will start fading evenly without peeling off the edges of nails.

Talking about the shades offered in this range, Very Me Metalic nails paints have options beyond usual red and browns; but there are shades for every woman to fall in love with. The edgy shades are true to the color in the bottle to help you decide what to buy. This pocket-friendly range is available at INR 199 each here.
In short, women like me who escape a meticulous process of applying a base and top coat for a perfect manicure, this nail paint range is a lot easy work, and would last longer than the most expensive polish you have.
Tell me which shade did you like the most :)

Textured NOTD With Oriflame Very Me Sugar Nail

I've not been obsessed with any specific nail polishes ever. When it comes to painting my nails, I like to be experimental. I tried some easy-to-do nail arts in the past, but realized those are not as easy as they seem ;) lolz
If you're sailing in the same boat and feel its not that easy to master painting your nails neatly; I recommend trying Oriflame Very Me Sugar Nail.

Give your nails the sugar effect! Textured nail polish in vibrant candy shades too gorgeous to ignore. Dries to a semi-matte finish with crystallised sugar effects and subtle shine.
Oriflame Very Me Sugar Nail range has five alluring shades Purple Berry, Sweet Orange, Strawberry Pie, Blue Icing and Green Crumble. But due to non-availability of Green Crumble (and I'm truly heartbroken for missing the most enchanting shade of the range), I got to possess the rest 4 shades.

Available here at Rs 349 each.
So what's unique about Sugar Nail range??
The Sugar Nail range ditches traditional reds and browns, and offers bright candylicious colors that are totally trending. There's plenty of teeny tiny specks of crystallised sugary particles in every bottle that flawlessly create textured nails in a jiffy.

Remember those nail artists flaunting their well-manicured nails beautified with embossing powder!! This range of nail paints will captivate everyone with similar textured nails in few swipes. The crystallised dots on your nails will appear raised and beaded up making them look more like tiny studs of same color.

I would describe the overall look as a sandpaper that is smoothen to touch and feel. The nail paints are quick to dry and settle somewhat semi-matte with subtle shine to it. These nail polishes are perfect for those of you who want to try something a little different!

After discovering these fabulous Sugar nail polishes, I can't help but fall in love! Just give it a try and you're bound to find one that you can't live without!
All being said, did you like any of the ones on this list? Do let us know in comments :)

Oriflame Very Me Metallic Nail Polish in Aqua Green- NOTD

I recently got a metallic nail polish from Oriflame from their Very Me collection in shade Aqua Green. I chose this shade for its warmth and depth of color intensity. It won't fall into the color spectrum of basic green, and has a beautiful aquatic punch to it.
The nail paint comes in not-so-fancy glass bottle with a black screw cap similar to most nail paint packaging. I don't mind simple packaging rather concentrate more on the product efficacy ;) The shade name, shelf life and quantity etc is labeled on the bottle.
You will see the Very Me Metallic Nail Polish is printed in shiny font on the bottle for the obvious reason :)
The consistency of the nail paint is medium thick which is just the apt for smooth finish in one swipe of brush. I got nice coverage in single swipe when applied on base coat. But I loved the intense color after second coat. The longevity of the nail paint is 4-5 days for me without top coat surviving all household, but it lasts longer if covered with a good quality top coat.
The nail paint dries up pretty quick. It's a rare case with me to achieve a flawless nail paint without getting it spoiled on any of the fingers. But honestly, it didn't happen with this nail paint.
Talking about its final finish, I'm in love with the pearly metallic look it creates and it certainly calls for ordering another shades from same collection. Because they have many more fashionable shades like Blue Passion, Gold Rush, Moonlight or everyday wearable shades like Pink Pearl, Sweet Candy, Twilight Dust. Each of them is priced at Rs. 189 for 6 ml.
Take a look which shade you like more or else click here to buy the one that I ordered. If you have an affinity for metallic nail paints, I recommend you to try this range.

Hues of Spring on My Nails With Nelf Cosmetics

Hello Dearies

Hope you had great fun on festival of colors. But strangely I'm the one who is not fond of this festival, so I just enjoy looking at people all drenched in colors from the window of my room ;) This time, while watching the neighbouring kids dancing on road, what I did was to experiment with painting my nails in vibrant colors of Spring :)

Being new to this art of beautifying nails with intricate designs, I couldn't achieve that perfection. And now I know how much patience one needs to glam up nails.

I used nail lacquers from Nelf Cosmetics in three colors i.e. Sunny Yellow NSE24, Envy Green  NSE30 and Pink Pop NSE02.

Not sure if you might be liking my nails :P I'll be trying something better next time ;)

Blue Heaven Xpression Nail Lustre (903 & 913) - Review & NOTD

Hello

I love to keep my nails long and filed in oval mostly. There are rarely any reasons to convince me cut my nail short. There are days when I forget to color them for long and still like my hands, but then comes a moment when I want to give a final touch to my freshly manicured hands by applying some catchy or cool nail paints. I have been deeply longing for some untried shades of nail paints, when I got two gorgeous shades in my mail few days ago.. Excited who sent me those?? Read on...

Blue Heaven Cosmetics sent me two exciting nail paints from their Xpression range. These nail paints provide intense color to nails. The special features are non bleeding & non feathering formula that stays for days and no chip off.

Ingredients: (not mentioned on the packaging)
Butyl Acetate + Ethyl Acetate + Isopropyl Alcohol + Tolune + Nitrocellulose + Resin + Steralkonium Hectorite + Dibutyl Pthalate + Camphor + Pigments And Pearls.

My take on the product:
The Xpression range of nail paint, which are referred as Nail Lustre by the brand, comes in a squared edged glass bottle. The transparent bottle lets you see the color and remaining quantity in a glance. The price, usage instructions and Expiry date is printed on either side of the bottle. The golden cap shines in the bottle neck that grips tightly and you would find the Shade no. on the top of the cap.
The applicator brush is made up of properly shaped bristles which gives full coverage in just one swipe except corners of nails. I found it comfortable to hold and use.
As mentioned above, I got 2 lovely nail paint shades in 903 and 913.

Blue Heaven Xpression Nail Lustre - 903 is a bright orange color with mild cream finish as seen from the bottle which I found 'shockingly bright' in the first glimpse. But the temptation to experiment with new shade insisted me to apply it without any waiting.

The nail paint is bit runny in consistency and brings out the actual opaque finish after 2-3 coats only. It dries up quickly and gives glossy finish without a top coat. The staying power is also decent as I can see my nail with no chip-off after 3-4 days of application despite all household work and washing my hands uncounted number of times.
I am feeling more confident to try such vibrant neon shades on my dusky complexion now that have brightened my summer look and gave a boost to my mood and spirits :) Now I know why is it a hit among youngsters these days ..

Blue Heaven Xpression Nail Lustre - 913 is one of the evergreen shade of fuschia pink that can be a favourite of most women and collegiate gals. The consistency of this shade is similar to other shade I have used.
It seems squeaky in initial coat but smoothen as you swipe one or two extra coats. The color looks something on red tone in the bottle, but gives a different summery fresh appeal on application. It will suit all skin tones making your hands look fairer.
This is the kind of shade that need not match with your outfit exactly, but will add up its glow in contrasting colors with broad variations.
I am loving both the shades of Blue Heaven Xpression Nail Lustre equally for different reasons and for different seasons ;) At a pocket friendly price of Rs 70 each for net content 9 ml, its worth grabbing a deal. It actually stands its claims and now I am greedy for adding more shades to my collection :)
Where to buy:
All the shades of Blue Heaven Xpression Nail Lustre can be bought from Flipkart, Jabong, Shopclues etc.

Tell me which one did you like more? Do recommend me if you have tried any other gorgeous shade of Blue Heaven Xpression Nail Lustre..

NOTD - BornPretty Store Floral Water Decals on my nails

Hi All

Few days back I won a li'l flash giveaway by BornprettyStore for which they offered me to choose any of water decals from their exclusive collection of colorful designs. :)
I so wanted to order all of them for every design is a unique one ... naughty cat patterns,
floral smiles...scary halloween designs... lovable hearts n roses & much more. I had no clue what I would adore on my nails..But then my li'l boy pointed on a gorgeous multicolored floral printed water decals that i really loved ..
I was pleased to know that BornprettyStore not only ships an order with 24 hours but the shipping charges are totally waived off for any customer worldwide :)
Finally I placed an order expecting it to be delivered within a month or so... but to my extreme surprise, the neatly packed parcel was in my hand in exactly 12 days.
The single Floral Sheet of Water Decals Nail Sticker had 12Pcs. Interestingly, a li'l nail filer had been kept in the package to trim the extra part of the stickers in exact shape of your nails :)

I was damn excited to decorate my nails, so quickly went through all the application instructions.
Nails Application:
1. Trim, clean and polish the fingernails; paint the background colour on the fingernails and dry it out.
2. Remove the film of product, cut out the patter and plunge it into water 10-20 seconds.
3. Moisten the fingernails, stick the patter in position.
4. Sop up the water with a paper towel and blow dry.
5. Cap with clear nail polish and blow dry.

Since the stickers were supposed to be dipped into water for few seconds, I cut them separated for each finger nail.

As I followed the instructions mentioned above, this is how my NOTD turned out to be

I'm super duper happy to be a part of nailfie culture and it all happened because of Bornprettystore's simple-to-use water decals. It is still staying on my nails without coming out from edges :)
My overall experience with BornPretty Store has been really wonderful, be it their product quality, quick dispatch n delivery, humble customer care representative and ofcourse affordable stuff.
My Rating : 5/5 :)

All the best!!
