Nelf HD Triple Effect Makeup Review (Shade 04)

A few days back, I shared that Nelf Cosmetics is about o launch its 3D makeup products line soon. Also I had reviewed the Kissproof Lipcolor from this range last week. Today I've got a chance to talk about Nelf Triple Effect Makeup.

This product is basically meant for face makeup, but is a multi-functional product. The packaging and look of the product is similar to a Compact. It's a square kit in classic black color with white letters on it. No embellishment or adornments, just simple packaging; which I find quite decent. The product kit is enclosed in a black cardboard box externally.

The packaging opens into a dual-layered kit. The top opening has a mirror and the compact cake; while the bottom layer has a rectangular applicator sponge. The kit doesn't open loosely. It's easy-to-carry and travel friendly packaging.

The product is a creamy formula (don't confuse it with a powdered one). So the technique I follow to apply this is to use my finger for dotting the product on my face and neck & then blend it well using the sponge provided within the kit. I'm glad that the sponge has replaced the traditional puff that is better accompanied with powdered compact. The product would need little effort to blend properly, else looks patchy.

The compact that I received is in Shade 04 which looked slightly fairer for my skin tone when in the packaging, but upon application created a flawless base for further makeup. I primed my skin using Nelf Primer before using the product, otherwise my skin looks drier and too matte. Since the product is yet to be launched, I'm unaware of availability of other shades.

The reason why it is called a Triple Effect Makeup product is that it would serve as a concealer, foundation and compact. It effectively covers skin imperfections like light marks, blemish etc and stays put for 4-5 hours. I like using it for giving 'no makeup look' effect to my face for everyday purpose. But the women who love heavy coverage would also find it appealing.

To sum up, Nelf HD Triple Effect Makeup is a fabulous product to combine three functionalities into one step, especially when you're packing your stuff for travelling and wanna reduce your makeup kit's weight.

The product priced at Rs 825 is expensive as compared to some other good brands, but is worth a try if the shade is good to suit your skin tone.

Its a Long Lasting Matte Velvet finish lipstick and is available in many shades. 

I wanted a shade something different than usual red, maroon, wine; so I chose Shade 17 which is a earthern tone. I liked the non-glossy packaging of the lipstick.

The cute, chubby Lip Crayons are my current obsession. I ordered a vibrant tangerine Shade 12 in this Y-CID Lubric Colorful Waterproof Long Lasting lip crayon which was as affordable as $2.16. 

Its a perfect mix of color of a lipstick and moisturized effect of a lip balm. The fuss-free application makes it fun to use. Unlike many other lip crayons that I've owned and used till date, this one has the best color pay off and I'm so happy I chose this.

Now comes my another must-have makeup product... whenever I want to apply a lipstick while stepping out of my house, defining my lips with a lipliner is a mandate and there is no compromise in it ever. It always makes me look out for different shades of lip liner pencils. So you might have guessed by now what's the next item in my list ;) 

I liked these Professional Waterproof Wood Lip Liner Pencils which are available in 14 Colors. I ordered not one or two, but four shades of these i.e. 11, 13, 14, 22. 

Though the outer body of some of the lip liner pencils look similar, but their actual colors are totally different on lips.

One thing I've been hearing a lot these days is a color changing lipstick. When I found this Fashion Color Changing Rose Red Lip Balm on Bornpretty Store, I knew I wanted it desperately. 

Its a green color bodied lip balm with same green color bullet inside. It may look like a shocking color to apply and doesn't give that color when swatched on hand; but believe me, it turns out to be such a pretty rose red color when glided on lips. I have been mainly concentrating on skin care products for quite some time. But today is the day as I review a pocket friendly product that is a perfect pick to highlight your cheeks for a glam look. Its none other than Blue Heaven Diamond Blush On that is a must-have in makeup kit of every woman. 

Product Claims:

Blue Heaven Diamond Blush On has a soft cream whipped formula that is long lasting and blends very smoothly with your skin.It feels virtually weightless and glides on quickly and easily giving a natural look to your face. My take on Blue Heaven Diamond Blush On:

The blushes have been recent addition in my makeup kit n an addiction to me. Earlier I was not so fond of them, feeling it needs great skills to apply and it may not go with my dusky complexion. I got to try Diamond Blush On by Blue Heaven in shade no. 505 which is a golden bronze mix shade. You can check the shade no. at the back side of the blush pack.

The blush is accompanied with a think applicator sponge that easily lifts the blush on it. The texture of blush is quite smooth. It blends evenly and doesn't show up patchy makeup signs due to its decent pigmentation. You get the desired shade in one or two swipes on your cheeks. 

This shade of blush contains tiny shimmery particles within that will instantly boost your party look. The shade is suitable to most Indian skin tones. As far as, staying power is concerned, I tried this blush while going for a friendly get together which lasted around 3-4 hrs in the night. The effect of blush beautifully complimented my ethnic look/outfit and it stayed on without fading all the time. 

I applied it to its soft tone so that it doesn't look awkward for my skin tone, but you may build up the color by layered application or by mixing with other shades. The only requisite is to blend it properly along your cheekbones and enjoy compliments for your pro makeup.

Not to forget, that the blush has slight strong perfume which I feel was not required or could have been diluted to milder one.

Pros:

Easy on pocket.

Travel friendly packaging.

Gives shimmery radiance to cheek for lovely night look.

Suited for most skin tones.

Smooth texture.

Decent staying power.

Cons: 

Wish the packaging can be improvised by adding a tiny mirror to it.  

Contains Parabens (which are there in most blushes). 

Perfume may be stronger for some.

Overall opinion:

Blue Heaven Diamond Blush On is a nice product ideal for intensifying your day look or evening party look. The light price tag makes the product even much better. The only con is that it has parabens which I usually find in the blushes of many expensive brands too. So I am satisfied to pretty good extent with the product. 

Blue Heaven Xpression Nail Lustre (903 & 913) - Review & NOTD

I love to keep my nails long and filed in oval mostly. There are rarely any reasons to convince me cut my nail short. There are days when I forget to color them for long and still like my hands, but then comes a moment when I want to give a final touch to my freshly manicured hands by applying some catchy or cool nail paints. I have been deeply longing for some untried shades of nail paints, when I got two gorgeous shades in my mail few days ago.. Excited who sent me those?? Read on...

Blue Heaven Cosmetics sent me two exciting nail paints from their Xpression range. These nail paints provide intense color to nails. The special features are non bleeding & non feathering formula that stays for days and no chip off. 

Ingredients: (not mentioned on the packaging)

Butyl Acetate + Ethyl Acetate + Isopropyl Alcohol + Tolune + Nitrocellulose + Resin + Steralkonium Hectorite + Dibutyl Pthalate + Camphor + Pigments And Pearls.

My take on the product:

The Xpression range of nail paint, which are referred as Nail Lustre by the brand, comes in a squared edged glass bottle. The transparent bottle lets you see the color and remaining quantity in a glance. The price, usage instructions and Expiry date is printed on either side of the bottle. The golden cap shines in the bottle neck that grips tightly and you would find the Shade no. on the top of the cap.

The applicator brush is made up of properly shaped bristles which gives full coverage in just one swipe except corners of nails. I found it comfortable to hold and use.

As mentioned above, I got 2 lovely nail paint shades in 903 and 913. 

Blue Heaven Xpression Nail Lustre - 903 is a bright orange color with mild cream finish as seen from the bottle which I found 'shockingly bright' in the first glimpse. But the temptation to experiment with new shade insisted me to apply it without any waiting. 

The nail paint is bit runny in consistency and brings out the actual opaque finish after 2-3 coats only. It dries up quickly and gives glossy finish without a top coat. The staying power is also decent as I can see my nail with no chip-off after 3-4 days of application despite all household work and washing my hands uncounted number of times.

I am feeling more confident to try such vibrant neon shades on my dusky complexion now that have brightened my summer look and gave a boost to my mood and spirits :) Now I know why is it a hit among youngsters these days ..

Blue Heaven Xpression Nail Lustre - 913 is one of the evergreen shade of fuschia pink that can be a favourite of most women and collegiate gals. The consistency of this shade is similar to other shade I have used. 

It seems squeaky in initial coat but smoothen as you swipe one or two extra coats. The color looks something on red tone in the bottle, but gives a different summery fresh appeal on application. It will suit all skin tones making your hands look fairer.

This is the kind of shade that need not match with your outfit exactly, but will add up its glow in contrasting colors with broad variations.

I am loving both the shades of Blue Heaven Xpression Nail Lustre equally for different reasons and for different seasons ;) At a pocket friendly price of Rs 70 each for net content 9 ml, its worth grabbing a deal. It actually stands its claims and now I am greedy for adding more shades to my collection :)

What I Wore on A Leisurely Outing

I got to celebrate this longer weekend after much hectic schedule for past 3-4 months. So I wanted to make the best out of the time I got to spend with my lovely family. And we got ready to seize the moment and left for a looooong drive to Kasauli yesterday. And I dared to play up with my style in a rather novel way... After thinking not more than twice, I got myself dressed casually in a Denim Bandage Dress gifted by hubby few days back.

Its been the first ever experience that I overlooked my usual desire to style myself in ethnic ensemble

and pronounced a distinct presentation.
