Nail the Matte Trend With Revlon

The hottest trend in makeup industry which I truly love is to pull off a dewy Matte Finish that neutralizes any sheen so beautifully. I know achieving the matte coverage perfectly is actually tricky since they set almost instantly; but once you pull off the look carefully, it comes out really graceful.

I had been eyeing on Revlon Perfect Matte Nail Enamels since the day the range was launched. The Perfect Matte Nail Enamels have been introduced at Rs. 190 each (8 ml) in 8 summery shades:

• Sunny Matte, 
• Rosy Matte, 
• Crimson Matte, 
• Marine Matte, 
• Coral Matte, 
• Cool Matte, 
• Hot Matte

I decided to own gorgeous nail enamels in shades Cool Matte, Rosy Matte and Sunny Matte and to create a dreamy dewy look with these.

To compliment and complete the matte look, I used Revlon Super Matte Lipstick in shade Lavender Chill (659) to go along pretty well.

In my first look, I used Rosy Matte as the base color on my nails. Two coats of the nail paints are good to attain the real color. Take a short pause to let each coat dry, matte nail enamels are quicker to dry than glossy ones. I used a piece of sponge to create a tricolor gradient look, because I'm not that good in creative nail art and its the easiest technique. I dabbed the sponge in Cool Matte and Sunny Matte nail enamels in one go and gently pressed the sponge on the painted nails similar to bouncing action. The finished gradient nail look cute and festive. Make sure to apply a coat of transparent top coat and clean up the cuticles with some good nailpaint remover.

In the second look, I used no nail art tool. I started with painting my nails in Cool Matte and Sunny Matte shades on alternate fingers. In this look also, I applied two coats of both nail paints to achieve the true color giving it time to dry in between. Next I drew polka dots on the top edge of each nail with Rosy Matte shade and applied top coat after it dried up. While the top coat is still wet on nail and about to dry, I quickly placed a swarowski gem on each nail to give this look a festive appeal.

What I Wore on A Leisurely Outing

I got to celebrate this longer weekend after much hectic schedule for past 3-4 months. So I wanted to make the best out of the time I got to spend with my lovely family. And we got ready to seize the moment and left for a looooong drive to Kasauli yesterday. And I dared to play up with my style in a rather novel way... After thinking not more than twice, I got myself dressed casually in a Denim Bandage Dress gifted by hubby few days back.

Its been the first ever experience that I overlooked my usual desire to style myself in ethnic ensemble

and pronounced a distinct presentation.

Click Your Pick - 'Color Blocks' Vs 'Prints'

The fashion world is one of the most dynamic & happening place. The must-have styles of yesterday vanish the very next day and yet another flattering trend is sought after every few days. But there is something that prevails its existence and makes its presence felt in fashion world forever. In today's fashion world, that signifies 'anything-goes-well' kinda attitude, still few universal styles keep trending with little or no change...

This season, I have gone all crazy for Color Blocks. The idea of creating sharp looks by wearing striking combinations without making them complicated gives me a feel of DIY ;) The outfit that exhibits a palette of two or more colors sports great effect when multiple solid colors are layered; else some excellently designed colorblocked masterpieces are readily available for your flawless look.

The solid colors locked harmoniously in an ensemble look equally chic for daytime and evening looks. In my outfit, I wanted to bring out the brightness of cobalt paired with a darker shade of red to make it look appropriate for not-so-cooler months. And this Wine Asymmetric Colour Block Top from Zovi did the trick.

For the male look as well, my man decided not to overdo the weird color combos and stayed loyal with some relaxed tones of mustard yellow and navy for that stand-out color mixes with perfectly fitted Mustard Seed Yellow Solid Henley T-shirt.

To play with colors in the right way, the only thing one needs to realize is to understand the tones properly and perk up the ensemble either with complementary / monochromatic / neutral or analogous colors quite wisely, so that it comes out as a pleasing arrangement of colors that engages the eyes and heart sensuously.

But regardless of whether these combinations fit into the technical specification of color harmony, Color Blocking will always reserve a special place in my wardrobe with endless possibilities... Bcz I enjoy having fun in experimenting to know what works best for me. :)

Then there are days when you wanna take your fashion sense to whole new level by gracing dream-like prints on everything from sweatshirts and dresses to shoes and everything else. Frankly speaking, most of the prints including inspirational images, funny fonts, nature-inspired scenes, animal or floral prints are so cheer-inducing that may de-stress a person effortlessly.

I am pleased to be in this lovely Blue On White Overflow Print Cotton Kurta that lets me have 'fun in the sun' with cool colors n prints.

The freshly coined prints are always welcome, but for me Paisley prints are enough of a statement. And when you team it up with contrasting trousers, it really does justice to your tasteful fashion sense. It's been a memorable experience for me when ever I spot n buy these artistically twisted teardrop prints outfits and let the pattern do the talking! Hey, the prints are not exclusive rights for women ensemble... Even men can definitely rock this print outfit trend and make their look as versatile as women can. This No Rules Green Graphic T-shirt worn by my man is indeed an apt choice to add a refinement to casual look.

My Exquisite Summer Looks OOTD With Zovi

The best thing about summers is the presence of vibrant colours in my wardrobe. As the season changes, I can feel the excitement for swapping my clothing range specially to complement the season-friendly look.. This time I took to shop online for some summer essentials for myself from Zovi.

Why only Zovi? 

Because I was super impressed with their revolutionary concept that Zovi aims at designing and manufacturing high-quality lifestyle apparel locally and then exclusively offers them online at extremely reasonable prices. It really takes great courage to part ways from own business profit and think higher of the benefit of buyers' or customers'.

My Shopping Experience:
Placing an order with Zovi.com came as easy as breathing to me. The product categories are laid in really organized manner with multiple Filters on the left panel. The product pics uploads damn quick as the site construction has been overall kept very light. Since I was short of time due to my packed schedule, I used 'I am looking for...' option to search the items my heart desired for and to my surprise, I got most of the items nearly matching my criteria. Infact, usually I face problems finding appropriate fitting size for my zero-figure kinda appearance, but I applaud for Zovi to provide the apparels even in XS size that fitted me without the need to visit my tailor for alterations !!

The team Zovi kept me updated with emails and SMS regarding the updates status of my order. The order got dispatched with 48 hours and was delivered in two separate packaging i.e. one for appreal and another for footwear. The order delivery was much before the expected day. So I give Zovi a thumbs up for a satisfactory shopping experience overall !!

Enchanted Ethnic Look 
The boldest statements are made with subtlety! It is always a treat to the eyes seeing someone flaunting pleasant ethnic look not only in the summer season, but throughout the year. An elegantly printed kurta tops my choice that accentuates feminine charm when worn with a pair of leggings. 

For my Enchanted Ethnic Look, I handpicked an exclusively designed Off-White Kurta from Zovi. Actually, the first glimpse of the kurta made me fall in love with it for many reasons...I deeply adore exotic Worli paintings wherever I notice it; be it designer outfits, wall paintings, bags, bedcovers or any other decor material. So finding a unique piece of rich Indian Folk Art on a kurta actually was like a long-cherished dream come true. Yet another catchy plus of the kurta was its Khadi fabric in soothing off-white color. To me, the hand spun Khadi fabric is a real blend of flow of one's soul and revelation of one's character.I could barely take a chance to miss stunning addition of a beautifully textured, sensuous and skin friendly KOOL KHADI dress to my wardrobe for scorching summer that will render my skin optimum breathability. So I felt myself on Heaven 7 when my desired size was available ;) I tastefully teamed the kurta with a pair of contrasting leggings to complete the attire for the day and also chose to feel snug as a bug in a rug with this pair of ultimately comfy pair of Copper Plaid Colourful Top Flats in matching colors. These flats looked damn chic n trendy to walk in confidence. To further spruce up my look, I decided to let the vivacious diva in me get a new breath of life with some ravishing makeup and accessories. This attractive look indeed fetched me lovely compliments for my rich sense of style.

Street Style Look:

For a break free summer style, all that is essential is to bang on-trend with a wishful look like fresh cool breeze. To give an unexpected update to my ethnic appearance, I made an attempt to revamp my look with bit of modernization ;) I thought of creating a look that would let me jet from conservative to casual with some effortless outfit meant for keeping me at comfort all day long...

For my Street Style Look, I wanted to play with summery & feminine laces and nets. A fiery Red Laced Sleeve Sheer Top in the Zovi display got my eyes glued on it. Pairing the spaghetti top with Teal printed casual payjama had been a unspoken promise to stay relaxed on those lazy Sundays by slipping into this street wear ;)

Just see, how perfect finish it gave when I added a splash of novelty to my everyday look by wrapping a polka-dotted scarf to tie my uncared tresses :)

Men Look Book

Hey! don't think of this post only meant for lovely ladies, my male readers are equally valuable for me. Though I had some issue finding male model (hubby being on tour these days), still I managed to create a Summer Look Book for guys too :) Clap Clap...

Timeless Blue Flu Look

Majority of men seem to die for blue. Atleast I have noticed shades of blue dominating my man's wardrobe over years and still unchanged. So why not go traditional yet stylish in a fresh kurta payjama for a summer gathering you would love to attend with grace.

I recommend to ditch plain solid color and go for a printed knee length, straight hem and side slit

kurta with mandarin collar that highlights your charismatic ethnicity side. The churidar payjama goes well as bottom to complete the ensemble. There are wide choice of footwear for this look including sandals, kolhapuri chappals, slip ons etc. I have opted for buckled slip ons with crisscross straps and stitch detailing that looks ravishing for a man who wears with sheer elegance.
