Ethicare Remedies FaceMed Gel Review

Hi

I had been holidaying since last week and just came back home last evening. I didn't post much in last few days, so here I take time to share yet another product review post today. I am writing for Facemed gel from Ethicare Remedies today.

Product Info:
Facemed with its special non-oily gel base helps to rejuvenate face, lightens dark spots & fights the signs of ageing & fine lines, keeping your skin the way it should be. Regular use of facemed gel gives you perfect radiant skin all year long.
Ingredients:
Vitamin C…………………..5.00%
Niacinamide………… …….6.00%
Sodium Hyaluronate…..…...1.00%
Salicylic Acid…………....…0.50%

Price: 250/-
Qty: 10 gm
Shelf Life: 18 months
Packaging:
The Facemed gel comes in a small soft tube packaging in pink color. The tube has a thin nozzle tip that makes it easy to squeeze only required quantity for every use. The cap on the neck of the tube gets tightly screwed to avoid any spillage. The tube is encased in a cardboard carton. Both the outer carton and the tube have every required detail printed on them. The size of the tube makes it travel friendly as well coz its quite easy to throw in a corner of your handbag.
My Experience:
Facemed is a clear gel in pale golden yellow color. The gel is almost fragrance free, but if you bring it closer and smell, slight peculiar fragrance can be smelt which is not bothering.
The gel is a leave-on formulation and need not to be rinsed off, so I preferred applying it once a day in the night because the skin doesn't attract much dirt when you are at home and night is the best time to help the product work effectively.
On application, the gel causes no sticky feel rather gets easily absorbed within skin with only few gentle strokes. So the claims of being oil-free is absolutely true for this gel.
The skin experiences mild cooling n tightening that I actually like and the face is left with an instant glow. The ingredients used in this gel work towards anti ageing quite deeply. Niacinamide is known for its multiple benefits. It doesn't let the skin lose its water content and improves skin's elasticity. Salicylic Acid exfoliates skin and improves its texture and color. It is claimed to be very effective for the treatment of photo-aging. And in conjunction of these ingredients, Vitamin C is a savior of skin nutrients as we all know. So the formulation is a long term skin friendly product overall.
The only issue that I didn't like much is the quantity offered in the packaging is too less to notice major changes in your skin.

Pros:
Light on skin.
Soothes the skin.
Absorbs without much effort.
Hygienic n travel friendly packaging.
Effective ingredients.

Cons:
I wish it had mild fragrance.
Less quantity per pack.
Expensive.

Final Word:
Facemed gel is an oil-free formulation that helps the skin delay the signs of ageing, but after a prolonged use. It can be used by people of any skin type since its a water based product that doesn't break out the skin.

D Tan Scrub from Aroma Essentials

Hi

I am quite fond of natural home remedies. They have great potential as compared to readymade products and give long lasting benefits. But the problem again is the time to make the right composition of each remedy, because the optimum result can be achieved only when the ingredients are mixed in right proportion.

I was suffering from sun tan on my face and arms, so wanted to get rid of this tough tan and to get glowing and bright skin back using some home remedy. But the ready to use D-Tan scrub from Aroma Essentials came to me at right time and I was spared of prepare one for me t home. So lets read further how it fared for me..

Packaging:
The D-tan scrub is packaged in a simple plastic tub container that is transparent and has a screw lid. The label on the packaging gives information on its salient features. I wish there should be detail description of ingredients, price, qty etc printed on label.
Ingredients:
Orange peel powder, Oats, Rose powder, Lemon peel powder, Papaya, Lentils

Price: Rs 375 for 150 gm
Shelf Life: 6 months.

My Experience:
The D-Tan scrub is a dark brown colored powder. The powder seems quite coarsely ground with some rose petals visible in it.  The scrub has lovely aroma that you may smell as soon as you open the container. In the first glimpse of the product, I had a feeling that the granules seen in the scrub will be too harsh to the skin because it is not a fine-milled powder. But since I had been trusting Aroma Essentials for its careful preparation of products, I could not resist myself using it.
This D-Tan scrub is to be mixed with water to make a moderately thick paste out of it. I applied a thin layer of the paste on my face, neck & arms and left it undisturbed for almost 10 minutes until it got dried. I kept smelling like a fragrant flower till it was on my face and even afterwards.
After 10 mins or so, I washed the scrub with cold water gently scrubbing it off like an ubtan. To my sheer surprise, I found the scrub so soft on skin without causing any rashes or irritation. The D-tan scrub gave my skin instant brightening and lightened the skin tone while exfoliating it. I became its fan in very first application and have been using it regularly on severely tanned areas to cure them. The scrub has actually smoothened my skin to great extent due to its natural ingredients. Though the scrub doesn't dry out the skin, but I applied the moisturizer afterwards.

Where To buy: Aroma Essentials or call 9886497272 to order.

Pros:
Lovely fragrance.
Finest natural ingredients.
Chemical Free.
Gentle granules.
Dermatologically tested.
Exfoliates gently.
Feels smooth on skin.
Effective on tanned skin.
Suitable to all skin types.

Cons:
I wish the ingredient details should be labelled on packaging.

Final Word:
D Tan Scrub from Aroma Essentials is extremely decent formulation to battle sun tanning. It can be safely used even on sensitive skin and won't aggravate any skin issues. The feel of homemade scrub and the goodness of nature-based ingredients make Aroma Essential D Tan Scrub one of the finest choice.

Why is Asus ZenFone 2 Talk of The Town?

Now a days, a common scenario that we notice everywhere we go is to see people swipe their fingers in all directions on their smartphone. The craze of playing with the most essential gadget these days is not only taking over the young generation, but is attracting people of all age groups. The trendy phone handset loaded with numerous features evaluates you in terms of smartness. Thinking about the overwhelming outbreak of smartphone usage in the past months, I can easily relate the hi-tech advancements to the exposure we all want in our lives to stay updated all the time.

The leading smartphone makers frequently come up with more n more innovative features and they gain a commendable market share with their advance product. But don't you think it gets so difficult to pick the best one out of the group.

To help you choose the most gutsy smartphone, I share with you some breathtaking features of the most tech-friendly smartphone with an unconventional design that will make you scratch your heads. I am talking about Asus ZenFone 2 that recently created a buzz in the Indian smartphone market by winning more than 238 awards.
If you have an intention to buy an incredible smartphone to ease your life, let me quickly roll out some fab features of Asus ZenFone 2 for you..

Appealing Structure
My personal liking is always for a regular rectangular design rather than square shapes for the comfort factor. The odd-shaped, boxy phones actually look weird in your less-comfortable grip and make it more difficult to operate. The slim profile of ZenFone 2 effortlessly impressed me ultra thin edges. Simply a premium feel to own luxury!!
Superlative Performer
When I am smitten by the classy look and feel of ZenFone 2, its the time to appraise its performance. I always needed a highly responsive smartphone that could obey my commands with striking response time as less as fractions of seconds. The hi-tech giant Asus has proved its worth by equipping ZenFone 2 with 64-bit up to 2.3 GHz Super Quad-Core Intel Atom™ Z3580 processor and 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 RAM that don't need me sacrifice my ultimate aim of power-packed performance.
Consistent Crystal Clear Calling
The most worth while feature of ZenFone 2 is the noise cancellation. Sounds too usual, isn't it? But no, here is something that makes your calls more of satisfactory and enjoyable. ZenFone 2 is capable of identifying and reacting to different soundwaves coming in and then then propagating the actual voice by applying its critical noise cancellation technique. Ofcourse, I loved the clarity of sound that doesn't get drowned in the sea of unwanted sounds around you whilst on a call.

Privacy Promoted
Last but not the least, ZenFone 2 has incorporated the SnapView feature that is surely my personal favourite. SnapView creates a private space on your phone that shields your personal apps, pics and files from public access. With an easy switch in and out of SnapView can give you absolute confidence of working in Private/Public mode.
Asus Zenfone 2 is precisely designed marvel of engineering with its bleeding internals and grinning appearance. Its not a futuristic gadget, but gives power beyond imagination in your hand.
The luxurious feel and unmatched performance of Asus ZenFone 2 at such a reasonable price tag is worth a buy for if you are in search of incredible !!

I am sure each of you must be using a good quality sunscreen that is effectively shielding your skin when you are under the sun, but did you ever apply a sun care product after you reach home facing sun for many hours ?? I guess, not many of you will be aware that we need to use a sun protection skin care product even after coming back from open sun...

Today I am sharing my review on an innovative product from a brand that stresses upon using natural herbs to make skin friendly products. So which brand is that and which product I am talking about..lets explore in details...
Brand Info:

Our global forays include product export to UAE, Russia, UK and the USA. Anherb makes sure that your natural beauty forever stays with you. And that's why they bring the best of nature, the best and rarest of the natural herbs from all over India, that beautifies the original you. Go ahead and flaunt the 'BEAUTIFUL YOU'.

Product Info:
Anherb After Sun Gel is the first of its kind designed to provide sun burn relief and combat the process of tanning caused by harmful sun rays. It is a high performance post sun-exposure treatment. With active botanical, it instantly cools, soothes & replenishes sun damaged skin and provides sunburn relief by combating the process of tanning.
Ingredients: Glycerine, Grapewine shoot extract, Aqua Cacteen, Reasun, Vanirea among others.
Effective for: Sun Damage
Product Type: Gel
Qty: 50 gm
Price: 295/-
Shelf Life: 3 yrs

How to use: Use daily after coming back from open sun. Wash your skin with cold water & apply a uniform thin layer. reapply if desired.

How did I like the product:
The product is a dark orange color gel packed in a white plastic tub. The screw cap is actually very tight on the packaging and has an inner disc lid as well.
The gel resembles honey in color and consistency in the first look. It is mildly fragrant with mixed floral notes. The smell is soothing and feels herbal.
The gel is really thick and you need a thin layer to be applied evenly. It takes few gentle strokes to get absorbed into skin. The skin feels mild cooling post application. As the gel sets in the skin and gets dried, there is no sticky feeling. I apply it twice a day - once after coming back from back and then before going to bed. The gel didn't show the result in a day practically, but gradually I started noticing fairer skin tone that had got tanned during summers.
The gel needs not to be rinsed and is a leave-on product. So it remains within the skin overnight if you apply it in the night and nourishes the skin. The product claims of minimizing the skin damage
and healing are well achievable.

Pros:
Natural ingredients.
Smells nice.
Sinks in the skin easily.
Works to its claims.
Cures redness of tanned skin.
Calms down the skin irritation.

Cons:
Pricey.

Anherb After Sun Gel is a product that we usually miss to use. But is a boon to cure the skin damaged due to harsh sun. Though its a bit expensive, still a great natural product to ensure glowing skin without causing chemical reactions :)

Delectable Delicacies at Chandragupta Restaurant from The City of Jaipur

Rocky and Mayur have ventured out to explore food from all parts of India and curate videos on Askme.com I'm contributing my part by relishing my favorite dishes at Chandragupta Restaurant
and sharing my views with you all!
You can also upload your video review on AskMe and stand a chance to meet Rocky and Mayur.
My heart feels a distinct inclination towards Rajasthan. The fondest memories of my childhood are centered around different parts of Rajasthan. I am ever ready to visit any part of Rajasthan because I adore the rich heritage, folk dances, colorful outfits and ofcourse the yummilicious food of the Royal state which reflects Indianness in true sense.

The absolutely scrumptious Rajasthani cuisine is one of my favourite in comparison to other cuisines, primarily for the reason that there is fabulous variety of mouthwatering dishes most of which are pure vegetarian, so I relish them a lot. :) Its been almost an year that I have not visited Rajasthan, but the taste and aroma of spicy Rajasthani food is still fresh in my memories.

I have experienced the dishes and sweets of many places in Rajasthan in past years like Jodhpur, Ganganagar, Bikaner, Sawai Madhopur, Pushkar etc. And as you travel from one part of the state to another, you'll find that every region has something unique, which reflects in its food as well. But I bet that the place which can boast of serving the most authentic taste is Jaipur.

Anyone digging into a Rajasthani Thali in Jaipur can consider himself fortunate to be at foodies's paradise.
Actually its always better to settle for a complete platter i.e. Thali to explore elaborate taste of all the dishes in one meal. Rajasthani Thali is a brilliant offering of different breads, curries, pickles and desserts on a plate. The Bajra Rotla, Makki Ki Roti, Kadhi Pakoda, Sangre Ki Sabzi, Besan Gatte Ki sabzi with Malpua, Mawa Kachori and Imarti actually leave anyone delightfully satiated.

But Rajasthani food is incomplete without the mention of the most famed dish Daal-Baati-Churma. The baati which are flaky, round balls made of flour roasted on traditional firewood are traditionally served with dollop of ghee and panchmel daal. Usually you find the baatis stuffed with onion, peas, lentils with some spices. You can crush the baati in the daal to taste every spoonful with yummy flavour. The churma is the accompanying sweet which is actually prepared by crushing the unsalted and unstuffed baatis mixed with ghee and jaggery (gud).

If you are yet to give yourself this divine experience, you shouldn't and can’t return without trying the flagship dish of Rajasthani cuisine Daal baati in Jaipur.

I am no way leaving you without my recommendations for best places to eat Daal Baati in Jaipur to tantalize your taste buds with the royal taste of the Rajasthani cuisine and to have a perfectly filling meal of the delicious Daal, Baati and Churma where this sensational meal is cooked and served in the most authentic way.

By the time my post has reached its climax, I am craving for a spicy Rajasthani platter, how about you guys ;) If you have visited Jaipur and tasted some tasty dishes there, do share your experiences. I would love to receive your valuable inputs.

Hair Coloring Experience with Godrej Nupur Coconut Henna Crème Hair Color

Hi

"Should I try color my hair?" - a question that I asked my hubby more than hundred times in past few months. Despite his immediate consent every time, I could never override my apprehensions about damages caused by hair colors. Moreover, I have no major greys, so I managed to survive without taking the idea any further.

A few days ago I got to receive a special hair color hamper from Godrej Nupur containing few packs of their Crème hair colours infused with coconut oil and henna. Initially I was scared to apply the hair color, but then the presence of beneficial coconut oil in the formulation prompted me to set aside my fears and do take this hair color challenge at home.
I got all four beautiful shades available in Godrej Nupur Coconut Henna Crème Hair color i.e
  • Natural Black (1.0),
  • Natural Brown (5.36),
  • Dark Brown (4.0),
  • Burgundy (6.64).

Ingredients : Aqua, coconut oil, henna leaf powder, ethanolamine, petrolatum among others.

Contents of each pack:
  • 1 sachet of Crème colour (20 gm)
  • 1 sachet of developer (20ml)
  • 1 instruction leaflet
My experience:
I had been adoring my long black tresses always and actually couldn't imagine experimenting on them for any reason. But my hubby encouraged me to go for a different shade than my usual black hair for a nice change in personality. So I decided to use the Dark Brown shade that is somehow close to my original hair color and won't seem extremely transformed.

I mixed the entire content of colour and developer in the sachets in a glass bowl because the brand has simplified the task of measuring the quantity for appropriate mix and has provided the pre-measured contents separately packed for hassle-free experience which I appreciate. I like the familiar coconut oil smell in the developer.

Before I could apply the Dark Brown hair color on my hair, I followed the safety instructions quite in detail and took the patch test to check for hyper-sensitivity of my skin by applying a small amount of mixture behind my ear, but thankfully it didn't cause me any sensation, inflammation or itching.
Now, after being passing the patch test, I was more confident to color my hair. I applied the hair color using coloring brush, but missed having a pair of hand gloves in the pack. The consistency of mixture makes it easy to spread. Leaving the hair color on my hair for almost half an hour, I gave it a thorough rinse. The hair color came out easily and gave me a newer look.
I am really satisfied with the coverage it gave to my hair as well as the softness and lustre to my hair. I may safely recommend Godrej Nupur Coconut Henna Crème Hair Color for a beautiful and healthy hair coloring experience at home.
Pros:
No Ammonia formula
Pre-measured colourant & developer sachets.
100% grey coverage
Nice fragrance of coconut oil.
Leave hair soft and shiny.
Value for money.
Easily available.

Cons:
I wish there were hand gloves in the pack and I won't mind paying few bucks extra for that.
The quantity in each packet is sufficient for small to medium hair length or is suitable when only partial greying is to be covered, else for longer hair more packs are to be used.

Final Word:
Godrej Nupur Coconut Henna Crème Hair Color is an economical hair coloring solution with goodness of coconut oil and henna. The 'No Ammonia' factor makes it more acceptable to many.
Each variant priced at as less as Rs. 39 is a win-win situation undoubtedly.

Plum Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal Review

Hi

Looking for an excellent eye-makeup product that commits of no-toxic content?? The answer is Plum Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal that is created with loads of love and care for the most beautiful yet sensitive part of our body i.e. our eyes.

Plum has been one of the MOST fav brand since the day I started using their products and my affinity is increasing every passing day. Earlier I have been using their skin care products like Choco-latte Luxuriant Body Lotion, Grape Seed & Sea Buckthorn Scrub and Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer. And today's post is something different bcz its about their mineral makeup product :)
Ingredients:
Jojoba oil: a skin-compatible naturally occurring “goody” that resembles the natural chemistry of sebum on skin, it has excellent healing and moisturizing properties to keep your eyes shining through the day.
Macadamia oil: Rich in antioxidants, including squalene, a naturally occurring antioxidant present within our skin.
Chamomile flower extracts: Soothing, relaxing, and calming.
Mango seed oil: a really exquisite source of essential fatty acids and vitamins in our kohl kajal.
Price: Rs 425
Weight: 1.14 gm
Available here.
Why should you buy PlumAngel Eyes Kohl Kajal?
♥ Heavenly soft texture cushions your eye. All-day irritation-free wearing comfort.
♥ 100% natural formula. Free of synthetic preservatives, dyes & fragrances. Suitable for contact-lens wearers, those with sensitive eyes, and everyone looking for an everyday chemical-free kajal.
♥ Rich "True Black" color with excellent coverage & long-lasting application.
♥ Soothing chamomile extracts, hydrating jojoba oil & nourishing macadamia and mango-seed oils for soft, nourished skin.
♥ Excellent skin compatibility, suitable for sensitive skin.
♥ Dermatologically approved.
♥ Encased in a beautiful wooden pencil crafted from sustainably grown Weymouth Pine wood (FSC certified).
♥ Natural Vitamin E antioxidant. Helps against ageing of skin.
♥ Finished product not tested on animals.
♥ Made in the EU and conforms to US, European and Japanese regulations.
My experience:
Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal is a pencil kajal just like an ordinary pencil used by a school kid. The color theme of Angel Eyes Kohl is identical to what their brand logo follows i.e. cute purple text print on white background that instantly attracted me.
The Angel Eye Kohl is kajal pencil which needs sharpening after the tip gets dense. Though I personally like the twist-up kajals, because the chances are there to get the broken tip leading to sheer wastage. But since Plum's Kajal is a sublime formulation with many natural oils to avoid irritation to sensitive eyes,  I had been dying to try and use it since long.
The kajal is nicely pigmented and I found it easy to apply due to its ease of gliding on the waterline without any fuss. The kajal gives a perfect black tone in single stroke that makes my small eyes look bigger. A repeated swipe twice or thrice can be tried for a intense dark tone specially on lashline.
Talking about its staying power, the kajal remains on my eyes for almost 5-6 hrs without smudging or fading away. It actually won my heart as I felt no temptation to rub or scratch my eyes like I usually feel after applying any eye makeup, neither did it caused my eyes to behave non-sense and water without reason. I completely trust on its composition that claims to use 100% natural ingredients.
The kajal is not water-proof. If you wash your face, it tends to fade away. It comes off easily with a eye-makeup remover or some oils safe for eyes.
The kajal pencil is accompanied with a posh pencil sharpener with dual sharpening holes that works perfectly for 8 mm and 12 mm pencils. A lil fine plastic stick is incorporated within the sharpener to clean the mess if (by any chance) the pencil tip breaks and gets struck inside the sharpener.
The sharpener is priced at Rs 125, but the brand is generous enough to send you one Free of Cost with a Plum Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal :) So its a deal not to be missed !

Pros:
Natural ingredients.
No chemicals.
Stays on waterline for good 5-6 hrs.
Gives dark black look to eyes.
Causes no irritation.
Easy online availability.
Comes with a free sharpener.
Suitable for contact-lens wearers.

Cons:
I wish to have another variants in different colors.
A twist up / roll on kajal would be more adorable.
Slightly pricey.

Overall Opinion:
Plum Angel Eyes Kohl Kajal providing extra care to your sensitive eyes is a lovely makeup product to wear on everyday basis. It causes just bright looking eyes and not inflamed ones. There is no wonder if get to go addicted to it.

Chocolate & Raw Sugar Souffle Cream By Inatur Herbal

Chocolate & Raw Sugar Souffle sounds like a yummy dessert worth craving for. Chocolate is not only the most enjoyable and beloved sweet to eat, but has miraculous effects for skin also. And when I got a pack of Chocolate & Raw Sugar Souffle Cream from Inatur Herbal, I knew its the time to boost my skin quality using this guilt free skin repair product :)

Ingredients:
Aqua, Glycerine, Olive Oil, Emulsifying Wax, Cocoa Powder, Unpurified Sugar, Honey extract, turmeric extract, chamomile oil, vitamin E acetate.

Directions to Use:
After cleansing, take a sufficient amount of the cream on finger tip and divide on face. Gently spread in upward and outward and small circular strokes. Apply daily during morning and bedtime all over face and body.

Best Suitable for : Normal to Dry Skin.
Price: Rs 350
Qty: 125 gm
Shelf Life: 2 yrs

My experience:
Chocolate & Raw Sugar Souffle Cream is a rich, hydrating cream in off-white color that comes in a sturdy plastic tub packaging. The cream smells nice like a tempting chocolate drink. The consistency of the cream is not extremely thick, but is as thick as a cream should be. On application, a humble massage onto the skin in circular motion helps the cream to penetrate deeply and bring out the desired moisturization.
Usually, I like to apply mild moisturizers on face due to my disliking for that greasy layer which the think creams leave behind. But after I noticed the no-oily effect on my body skin post application of Chocolate & Raw Sugar Souffle Cream, that I decided to give it a try on my face as well. I bet I didn't use any CREAM that gives such healthy glowing skin and repaired my dry skin so easily right from the first use.
The cocoa powder as an active ingredient showed result in next few days by working on uneven patches on exposed areas on my body because it is claimed to be rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that nourish skin to root level. I may smell the light chocolaty aroma on skin even after few hours of application.
Not only the cocoa, but the other ingredients like honey and turmeric are known for their skin benefits. I hardly find any need to reapply any moisturizer or body lotion for many hours. The unique formulation of the product is a key to attain youthful skin with prolonged use.

Pros:
Yummy fragrance.
Deeply hydrating.
Gives mattifying effect on skin.
Herbal Ingredients.
Absorbs in few seconds.
Fights rashes or dry patches on skin.

Cons:
Slightly expensive (but worth paying for its effective results)

Final Verdict:
Using Chocolate and Raw Sugar in a beauty cream is a clever idea and the product stands its claims to the fullest. It does a good job of hydrating, rejuvenating, cell repairing and minimizing the chances of wrinkles. One may expect potentially sound results after using it for few days and feel satisfied to find a product that seems too good to be true.
